With University of Arizona eliminating $27million/year in jobs in academic positions that will be a lot of people leaving Tucson. Wonder what that will do to the housing market?

@falcorzed that’s true. The key would be to get in at that sweet spot: right after rates drop, but before other potential buyers know it! 😁
Election is very important, jobs are important, water, homeless and the border. I can't imagine we see levels continue where people are paying $700K for 2100 sq foot homes. Seems ridiculous. It may not be profitable to purchase in US anymore. I assume if Trump were to get elected, people would be more bullish on housing market. There's alot of nice places to live outside the US like Singapore, UAE, Bahrain, Japan, Costa Rica, Chile, Andorra, San Marino, and Portugal that look much more promising to have a future. They have politicians that aren't sell outs like they have here. People will leave if these cities can't fix this apocalyptic San Francisco style homeless scum roaming around our streets. Does the city have any plan to combat this? They claim affordable housing is going in on the south side, but I looked at the rent and they are listing at $1700/month (haha, good luck). Japan and Bahrain don't have this. They force you to live somewhere and provide a pathway to savings and we can't seem to do it. I have a feeling it's due to activist groups suing the city and wining cause that has happened in Portland and Reno and parts of California. Taxes will go up no question due to our national debt at almost 35 trillion. These are serious issues that will hit the real estate market. Americans may leave the country.
