Coming from someone whose grown up in Vail, I've rarely seen any video actually going into depth of Vail & what it has to offer, this video describes it all & I love it
Thank you for helping me find my dream home in Vail. We love Vail, Ocotillo Ridge elementary school is awesome, Vail Christian church, walking trails and Taco Giro are my favorite things about Vail. I can't wait to explore Colossal Caves.
I really appreciated this video. My wife and I are planning on moving our young family (boys, 1 and 3, and one more in the oven) to Southern AZ. We were most closely looking at the Tucson area and possibly Sierra Vista (the major drawback with SV is the small size and distance from a major airport). We'll actually be overseas in the winter months for work but will be in AZ during most of the year esp the hotter part of the year. My work is mostly remote but I need to fly both domestically and internationally frequently and our family wants to be in Southern AZ (i.e. Pheonix would be too far north for us). We were considering Sierra Vista b/c it's cooler but it's a bit far from Tucson. I was surprised to see that Vail, though not that far from Tucson, is 700 ft higher. Does that make it significantly cooler in the summer? Another question: are you aware of any other towns within say 30-45 min of Tucson that are significantly higher elevation and thus a little bit cooler than Tucson itself?
Hi there thank you so much for review and comment! Vail is indeed a little higher elevation and so is Green Valley, but that would probably be too far south west. Sonoita is a little cooler and Bisbee is a little bit cooler, but those areas are fairly far from Tucson. I love all those towns 🥰
As a 4 Year Employee of Santa Rita Landscaping LLC, located @ 755 West Grant Road,in Tucson, Arizona, I have had work there in Vail, more than several times. My Wife, Lucy Preciado, and I ,are very interested in getting a house there before I retire from Commercial Landscaping.
Great! If you’re interested in purchasing a home in Tucson feel free to reach out to me, all my contact information is in the description below each video on this channel! Thank you!
How is the climate in Vail up in the Santa Rita Foothills, near Charron Vineyards? I’m looking for cooler weather, like in Sonoita, without being so far from Tucson. I’m hoping for something with a daily high temp that’s in the low 90s in the peak of summer, and mid 50s in winter.
Great question! You won’t find those temperatures in the Tucson area in summer unless you live on Mount Lemmon, (which some people do). Vail does, however, get more rain and is slightly higher elevation than the city. Other parts outside of Tucson also get a little bit more rain and even snow, for example, the areas northwest of Tucson.
I'm retiring in a few years and looking to buy some land and build a custom home in the area. This summer, I'll be flying down a lot to get a lay of the land it look for my dream location. 😉
Very cool! Let me know if you want a list of things to see and do while you are here! (Or just check out the rest of this channel for ideas! 😉) Enjoy your trip! 🌵😎
Oh yes I see, thank you! I haven’t been out there yet but I like Richmond homes; they have a good reputation and are easy to work with in my experiences. That community is in a nice area; it’s not too “far out” like some of the subdivisions being built up in Vail… right off of Maryann Cleveland Way and easy access to Houghton Road/Interstate 10, restaurants, grocery stores, some shops, etc… Vail is rated one of the top school districts in the state as well! I will have to visit this community… looks like it’s about half built up but as of now they aren’t sold out yet! Let me know if you’d like me to research more info for you!
Are there strong needs for carpenters and school bus drivers? Also my question is, are immigrants being dumped here the way the news shows is happening in towns near the border?
Thanks for the view and comment. To be completely honest I don’t know the answer to any of these questions exactly. We always have homes being built and new construction is extremely popular (although supplies are low here, like everywhere), so I would assume we have plenty of carpenter jobs available; you would have to contact individual construction companies I suppose…and we have a lot of schools here and the school year just started up so I would assume we have some bus driver jobs; that may be a question for individual public school districts. (I have a video coming out today about schools, if you want to learn more about that). As for your other question I honestly don’t know; I haven’t seen that with my own eyes and even though we are near the border, we aren’t a border town so it’s a possibility that folks pass through here but if they’re staying here temporarily I’m not sure where they are or the details? I just don’t know about that… hope this helps a little! Thanks for checking out the channel!

My pleasure! I love Vail! And I LOOOVE Taco Giro! (I always get the chili rellenos!) So happy you love it there!!! ❤️❤️❤️
What attracted us was the proximity to Az. Vineyards. Yes. Vail is close to wine country.
I love Vail!

Undeveloped land means opportunities for herping! (i.e., catching and/or photographing snakes, lizards, etc.) My favorite outdoor activity.
Great!

Yeah it gets confusing with the two Vails… especially since I work with a lot of people moving here from Colorado 😁
