Looking forward to our move to Tucson/Vail in the near future. Can't wait to get out there and check out the area and see if that is where we want to build/buy.

Good morning! Thank you for this pluses and minuses of Vail! I like the space! And, as I have commented, Vail area residents probably have a “back door” access to some of the recreation that is far enough from Tucson to keep it from being packed. And, I am guessing we would be more inclined to be able to have some burros (though, that would not be the highest of the desired features).
Hmmmm….I am thinking my wife would like the extra 5 degrees that one could have as compared to the lower Tucson area. Degrees matter hehehe. And, my German shepherd could bask in all of his glory on that 1 or 2 days that it snowed hehehehe.
But, one component that we do want is to have more access to stuff- shopping, restaurants with more than burgers and pizza (though, I think I could live forever on pizza and tacos), able to attend the arts, etc.
So….we will see. We are definitely going to visit Vail on our trip.
A bonus…..the vineyards to the south!!!

Definitely a lot of pros to this area and they have made it more accessible to close shopping and dining. While there's not much, it has definitely been expanding and I forsee more dining options within a reasonable distance.

The bugs and animals veered my curiosity in the opposite direction. 😬

We have a few other videos on Vail as well. It's worth checking out if you are interested! It's a suburb SE of Tucson that has been rapidly growing over the last decade or so, with an award winning school district.

This is really a poor representation of Vail AZ. The video was recorded in Saguaro National Park East, which really isn't near to Vail (it's a 15 minute drive from Vail "town"). There is no video that shows the area beyond the Park. The video could have shown some of neighborhoods or housing development, highlighted the businesses/retails shops that are really in Vail. I've lived in Vail for 3 years, and this video isn't helpful at all for someone interested in moving here.

Thank you for your feedback! We did the video in Saguaro National Park East because we wanted a scenic background, rather than an office background, while talking about the pros and cons of Vail. If you head over to our channel and check out our Vail Playlist, we have several videos on Vail and do go through different neighborhoods and show different areas of Vail. We grew up in Vail so we know the ins and outs of it better than most. We don't expect one video about pros and cons is going to help someone decide on living in Vail or not, which is why we have several videos on the area. Thanks for watching.

Vail needs to be annexed by Tucson to be soaked for all the taxes possible. Vail residents need to pay Tucson taxes because of all the services and infrastructure Pima County and Tucson taxpayers provide for them. Tucson needs to annex Vail and force them to pay in taxes what Vail residents benefit from in terms of a wide range of services. Vail is an unincorporated city. Vail residents don't want to incorporate because incorporation means more local taxes and fees paid for local government. So Tucson should annex Vail and start soaking them good for all the years of freeloading sponging off of other Pima County taxpayers for infrastructure and county government services. Vail residents deserve to have their taxes raised.
