    Great video, thank you!
    There are a few words with similar meanings that may confuse a beginner, I think it might be a good subject to do an explanation on.
    In particular, things like:
    Widzieć/Zobaczyć/Patrzeć
    Miłość/kochać
    Chodzić/iść
    Keep up the great work.
    Dziękuję i do widzenia :)

Also start from the oldest videos moving forward to the newer ones because we are trying to build it up for you (especially in the beginner playlist)

    Czesc! Do you know any book that you would recommend for learning to read Polish? Maybe you could one day do a lesson using text from a Polish book or website to help us find the best way to read it.
    I have tried even little children's books in Polish but still find them daunting.
    Yesterday when I used Google Translate for a page out of a Polish novel and found what seemed like magic. The English translations for Polish sentences kept appearing on the screen before I had got to the end of entering the Polish sentences, sometimes even only half way. , reminding me that Polish is a much more concise or compact language than English.The Polish language efficiently can use only about four or five words to describe what takes many more words in English to describe.
    Wszystkiego najepszego _These two words seem , alas, more from that Room 101 collection ie: those expressions /words that make learners question whether a cat has just walked over a computer keyboard.!

      There are quite a few textbooks to learn Polish on the market. I personally like using a textbook 'Start', there is also one called 'hurra' which is quite popular. An online textbook 'po polsku po Polsce' is quite good, there are quite a few interactive exercises and some listening practice as well. I think you can easily google it.

    • @davidwright7205
      @davidwright7205 5 месяцев назад

      @@polishwithblondes Thanks for that!.I have tried that Hurray for Poland book before but found it too difficult. However, I am just viewing PO Polsku po Polsce now on the internet and for beginners it seems quite good so far . So I too can recommend it.. ( I have viewed Polish for Blondes Advanced but can understand barely any word of what is said on it without an English transcript.)

    • @davidwright7205
      @davidwright7205 5 месяцев назад

      Sadly, Po Polsku po polsce is not quite as good as I first thought. The listening dialogues are spoken at breakneck speed (too fast) without a transcript (a copy to read of what is said).I am also no fan of having to read task instructions in Polish. The grammar is a bit disordered. Points seem to be dealt with as they come up in conversation without any good explanations at the time. Lastly, although the course begins from the absolute beginners level, it progresses much too fast to quite advanced stuff. I hope this feedback is useful for when you yourselves are planning courses..

    Is English commonly used in Poland? Your English is excellent, switching back and forth Polish and English (sorta with British accent).

      @polishwithblondes  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you! I would say it's not commonly used but we do see more English-speaking people from abroad than we used to :)

      @Ntwadumela1 Месяц назад +1

      No, English is not commonly used in Poland. A good indicator of this is the English proficiency of our presidents, who are essentially the country's representatives. If they speak English the way they do, you can imagine what it's like for the average citizen. Most Poles are essentially monolingual, with varying levels of English taught in schools but rarely practiced in everyday life.

    I have a question regarding Polish which I've noticed lately. What is the true pronunciation of "dzień dobry"?
    In Wrocław I've heard people pronouncing "dobry" as "dobri" but I heard it being pronounced as "dobre" by my colleagues who are from different parts of Poland. Also in a Polish phrasebook I have it says that it should be pronounced as "do-bri". Could this "dobre" pronunciation be a slang or something specific to different parts of Poland?
