@@WambuiMadeIt Thank you for responding. You’re very welcome. I’ve always wanted to knit and crochet but arthritis prevents both. So when I learned of looming I thought it’d be a good idea for me. I’m enjoying it so far. Have made a few caps and now I’ve got an order for a scarf and four caps. But the instructions that came with the set are not very easy to understand for the inexperienced. So thank you again.
Thank you so much. It was so nice to see a smile and see it up close as you did it. I like that you tell us what you are doing then show us and tell us again at the same time. I find I am able to keep up with you as you are doing it. I am using a thin yarn right now. Do you find a difference between thin and thick yarn? I know the weight is a difference. I can't wait to see how it comes out. I know my family and friends will love thier hand made scarfs and hats.
Hi Christine! Thank you for the lovely comment. It means a lot to me. I am happy you find the video helpful and easy to follow. The main difference that I find between thick and thin yarn is, as you said, the weight to thickness of the finished scarf. If you have thin yarn, you can make it into two separate balls and use two strands of yarn as one to loom knit. That is how I first started loom knitting. I prefer a heavier weight yarn - maybe #5 or #6. It knits up faster too. I am sure your scarves will be beautiful and much appreciated. Have a great day!🧶🌻🧶🌻🧶🧶🌻☀️
Hi Wambui! I hope all is well! I am still working on my loom knit patch work blanket that I shared with your craft talk a few months ago, and also have been made a bunch of different hats (and, a shawl, fingerless gloves, and a bag for my craft tins 😆) and am now working on two different scarves 🧣! I am new at 82 years. Please tell us what brand of looms do you use. Thank you so very much. I have downloaded al your videos. You are an excellent teacher.
Hi Patricia! I got my looms so long ago that I am not 100% sure of the brand and there are no markings on the looms. I do believe that the loom in this video was in a set I purchased from Michaels. It is either a set by Loops and Threads or Boye. However, to be honest, at this time and going forward, I buy all my looms from Cind Wood Looms. I enjoy working on the wooden looms. They cost more but I really appreciate them and the customer service at Cind Wood Looms. (I am not affiliated with this company in any way.) I thank you for watching the videos. I am happy that you find them helpful. I appreciate the lovely comment. I hope this answer was helpful !!🧶🧶🌻🧶
@@WambuiMadeIt Thanks so much for the information. I will go to Michael a when I get out of quarantine I ordered the long looms from Amazon and the pegs don't have a nice top. I really want to loom knitting. God bless you pat🧡

Thanks for this tutorial ! I tried a scarf on a round loom years ago and it curled just like you showed. I didn't know how to fix it and I got frustrated and quit. I'm going to try again so thank you for this!
Hi Wendy! Thank you so very much for watching. I’m glad that you found the tutorial helpful. Yes, this will get thosel “sausage“ looking scarves to lay flat and look pretty. All the best to you!🌻🧶🧶
I appreciate this tutorial, and you're quite an engaging person. Your joy for life comes through clearly, so I'm subbing to you. I do need to start using these looms that have been laying around my house for the past two years, though. Ha ha.
Hi Betty! Thank you for watching and I appreciate the sub. Yes, it is time to start using those looms that have been laying around your house for the past TWO YEARS!! 🤗 Enjoy your day. All the best to you!🌻🧶🧶🌻
Thank you Wambui! This is exactly what I needed for the turnaround. I think the pegs being further apart makes it look wonky on my turnaround but I'm prob just over thinking it...:-)
Hi Dot!! I am glad you found this video helpful. Yes, sometimes if the yarn is thinner and you have a wide gauge loom, it can look different, but it still works. I don’t know what yarn you are using - but remember, you can always make your yarn into two balls and loom knit with two strands as if they were one. All the best to you!!
Well I did one row of e and one row of Purl instead accidentally but it's working mine is just going to be unique! I would LOVE for you to show me how to fix a dropped stitch for purl, I am a beginner and need help! Thanks! Enjoy learning from you!
Hi Bradley Johnson! Loom knitting is about having fun and expressing YOURSELF. ‘Unique’ is good. Thank you watching and I am happy that you have found the videos helpful. I am adding ‘how to deal with a dropped stitch’ to the list of video topics that are requested. 🧶🧶🧶🧶
Hi, I watched video where one of your scrafs turn out like a sausage, my did too, watched on how to make one no roll, what did you do with sausage scraf, did you leave it rolled or sewed sides together? Love your Videos ❤️❤️
Hi Grace! Thank you so very much for watching. That is a very good and interesting question. I never used my ‘sausage’ rolled scarf as a scarf. I saved it to show others an example of what not to do. If I wanted to change the sausage scarf into a flat scarf I would unravel the yarn and reuse that yarn to make a new flat scarf. Thank you for the lovely comment. All the best to you!🌻🌻🧶
I’m so glad I found your video, I knitted such a long sausage scarf until I found this video!! I have started alternating 1 row of knit and 1 row of purl. Would it also work alternating 1 stitch purl and 1 stitch knit rather than alternating whole rows??
Hi Donna! I’m happy you like the tutorial. I think for the average scarf - 15 pegs. Mine are generally wider because I like being able to use my scarf as a shawl. Enjoy your looming! 🧶🌸🧶🌸
i have one of them big ones afghan looms to. are there many looms to make scarfs on, with the round looms i got a set small to big as well. i like to make one with fringes on the ends toi also have fur yarn an velvet yarns but i wanted to try all this with reg yarn til i learn good
Greetings! Yes, I agree that it is best to start with regular regular yarn first. Then once you know how it all works and what you are doing - you are ready for the fur and velvet - and fringe! All the best to you!🌻🌻🤗
Hi Yasmine! I suppose you could iron - or, what you would want to do is what is called ‘blocking’ - (a link to see that is here. How to Loom Knit A Placemat - Easy - Two Stitches - Bonus: How to Block Your Loom Knitted Placemat ruclips.net/video/oLTuu3Ayzpw/видео.html Go to 34:43 to see blocking.) However, I believe the quality of your basic knitted scarf is going to be better if you find away to incorporate at least one other stitch. Ewrap and purl make a very easy and nice looking combination - ie. ewrap a row and then purl the next. What stitch were you going to use?🌻🧶🌻
Hi Tactical! Thank you so much for watching. I am happy that you found the video helpful. Thank you for sharing and leaving such a lovely comment. All the best to you!🧶🧶🌻
Hi Stacey3107! It should not matter if the final loop should twist when taking the yarn off the loom. Once you cut the working yarn from the scarf, you are going to use a darning needle to hide the yarn ends. Maybe you have already watched this video: How To Bind Off A Flat Scarf On A Round Loom 🧶Wambui Made it ruclips.net/video/8ERQ_lQO7MA/видео.html If you haven’t watched already, it may help too. I hope this helps you. Thank you for watching and I appreciate the question. 🌻🌻🧶🌻
Oh, let me back up a little. If You are referring to the pearl loops twisting, then it can make a difference in your stitches looking even. If the pearls stitches try to twist just try to put them on uniformly - the way the loop is when it comes off the loop. I am sorry that I misunderstood.
Hi Cristal! That is a great suggestion and I have been experimenting with headbands and ear warmers. I am wearing one that I made as an experiment on this Bling video cover. (I put the link below) It is going to take at least a few weeks to get that video and a final pattern together. I thank you for watching and asking. In the mean time, I have seen some RUclips videos by other loom knitters who make ear warmers. I appreciate you! 🌻🌻🧶🧶🌻 How to add Bling / Rhinestones to Loom Knitting Projects ruclips.net/video/KIPzwnq-v9o/видео.html
I am making a baby blanket for a new great granddaughter using the flat stitch. I have used over 4 ounces of yarn. It came out with curled edges. What stitch can I use without doing the pearl stitch to flatten it out?
Hi Myra! Thank you for watching. I have not experimented with all combinations of the stitches. If you don’t want to use the purl, then, what about the e-wrap stitch? As far as I have seen, as long as there are at least 2 different types of stitches used - everything will be balance out and you won’t get the curl. There is also a loom knit stitch called a True stitch which looks very much like needle knitting. I have never done a video demonstrating the True stitch but if you search RUclips, I am sure you will see someone showing how the True stitch is done. Congratulations on your new great granddaughter!!🧶🧶🌻
Hey there! Thank you for watching. You can do any combination of stitches-one and one, two and two, two and one, etc. --as long as you are using at least TWO DIFFERENT stitches; they can be in any combination. You can literally create your own design. As long as you use more than one type of stitch, the scarf should come out nice and flat👍🏽🧶
Wish I'd seen this before I started making my scarf. My scarf is very rolled up. I've been looking into putting the sides back on the loom to add a boarder to see if it will rectify the curl. I'm around 3/4 way through making my twisted ewrap scarf. I think it's around 15-20 stitches wide. Do you think a two stitch +1peg for attaching of scarf garter stitch each side will rectify it?
I am a beliver that somestime we have to take our losses. That’s my way of saying, I think it will be more enjoyable and less fustrating to just start over now that you know what to do. If you can pull the yarn out, and reuse it to start over, that would be great. 🌻
@@WambuiMadeIt thank you i actually made my scarf and then added a boarder by placing the side ends on the loom it looks great and has a very strange bagging effect but it no longer rolls like it did x
Greetings! Thank you for watching. The only headband video that I have at this time is the one that is linked here: How To Loom Knit Ear Warmers and HeadBands - Easy - 2 Stitches 🧶👂🏼🧶 ruclips.net/video/jVpvu3LvDjU/видео.html 🧶🌻🧶🌻
Hi Tina! Yes, you can make afghans with the large loom. Depending on the size afghan you want, you would make several scarves or shawls and join them together. This video will help in understanding how to join the sections together: Join Loom Knitted Sections With the 'Whip Stitch" - Blankets and Afghans On the Long and Round Loom ruclips.net/video/ZijN8LWwdlo/видео.html
Hi Diana! A poncho is a great idea! I think I can figure out a pattern for a poncho. It will take a while. Every project that I demonstrate, I have to at least make one or two of project to make sure I know what I am talking about. I thank you for that wonderful suggestion but it it be at least a few months. 🌻🧶🌻🧶🌻☀️
If you only use one stitch. The scarf will roll. This video is explaining why using just the e-wrap stitch to make a scarf is not a good idea. Another option is the long loom. However, it is an entirely different way of wrapping the loom.🧶🌻🌻
@@WambuiMadeIt this one lady was.doing no.pearl and for awhile I was doing good but it left a big hole so I.just undid it all. I'm working on getting a long one when I get paid. So for now I'm doing round and I.keep messing up. But I'm trying not to give up.I did the.knot put it on then the cast on thingy but when you got to end that is what I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around. So I tried I got a line on inside of loom an one on outside looking then when i did the.flip off there was threw on the legs so I took off the two bottoms over the peg leaving one is that right?
Hi Eula! Interesting question. I did a mock scarf to see if purling 2 at the beginning and end of each row would keep the scarf from curling. My test scarf still tended to curl. Perhaps if you also knit and and purl a couple of rows at the beginning of the scarf - and the last two rows of the scarf like we did in the afghan project (link below), it might not curl so much - if at all. I appreciate you watching. I hope this helps. 🌻🌻🧶🌻 The Afghan Loom Part 2 from Wambui Made It ruclips.net/video/0buMQVXeFhQ/видео.html
Hi Samantha! Thank you for your lovely comment. I am happy we don’t have to have sausage scarves anymore!😁 All the best and continued success to you!🌻🧶🌻🧶🌻
Unless you are using a straight loom, the scarves will curl if it is made up of just one stitch repeated over and over. There has to be a second stitch to balance it out - if you are using a round loom. 🧶🌻🧶🌻🧶

Have a great day!🧶🌻🧶🌻🧶🧶🌻☀️
I watched another video and found it confusing. You made it so simple and I like to me talked through it the entire way. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you SO much for this video and all the others I’ve watched. As a beginner, you make it very clear. And fun!
Thank you for watching! I appreciate you. Enjoy your looming! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you so much Wambui, you made loom knitting so easy for me. You are awesome Wambui
Hello Rosa!! Thank you very much. I am pleased that you found the video helpful. I appreciate you watching. 🌻🌻🧶🧶🌻
Thank you. First time playing with one of these, but this was so helpful.
Thank you for watching! I am happy you found the video helpful. All the best to you!🌻🧶🌻
Hi Wambui! I hope all is well! I am still working on my loom knit patch work blanket that I shared with your craft talk a few months ago, and also have been made a bunch of different hats (and, a shawl, fingerless gloves, and a bag for my craft tins 😆) and am now working on two different scarves 🧣! You can never have too many projects going on at the same time! Thank you, once again for another awesome video tutorial that has helped me learn another way to loom knit! Wishing you all the best! 🧶🧶🧶🎃🎃🎃
Hi Author Amber Noel Wilbur! Thank you so very much for watching the videos. I am happy that you have found them helpful. Thank you for taking the time to share all of the wonderful projects you have been working on. I agree - “You can never have too many projects going on at the same time!🤗 Thank you for such a lovely comment. I am wishing you a beautiful day and all the best!🧶🌻🌻🌻
@@WambuiMadeIt Thank you Wambui! And you’re welcome ☺️
I will go to Michael a when I get out of quarantine
I ordered the long looms from Amazon and the pegs don't have a nice top. I really want to loom knitting. God bless you pat🧡
You a such a delight, very lovely lady. Thanks for helping. Enjoy linda

Sausage scarf! I’m dying! Love it!
All the best to you!🌻🧶🧶
I love the way you teach
This was a very helpful video.. thank you.
Hi Rissey!! Thank you for watching and I am happy that you found it helpful. I appreciate your lovely comment. Best wishes to you!!🌻🧶🌻🧶
Wow . I like the way you do it coz you make it easier for someone to learn . And right now , i can knit it myself . Thanks alot

How are you I am OK miss hubby after him passing looming keeps me busy love ❤️ your videos
I enjoyed watching your video. You make it easy to understand. Merry Christmas from Tennessee!!
Thank you, Greg! I am glad you found the video helpful. - and, a giant Merry Christmas to you all the way from New York City!!!🧶🧶🧶
All the best to you!🌻🧶🧶🌻
thank you for this! i had failed loom knitting a flat scarf 😵👍🏼💕🧶
Lol! I’m glad you found it helpful. I’m giving you a ⭐️.
Wambui Made It well thank you so much my dear!! 💕
Thank you so much! I can learn looming and English at the same time 🙂
You are learning English too?! Good for you! Thank you for watching. Continued success with both the loom knitting and English! 🧶🧶🌻🧶🧶
Thank you for teaching me how to do this I appreciate it ❤
Thank you for your lovely comment! I’m glad I could make learning loom knitting easier for you. All the best with your crafting journey! 🧶😊
Thank you. I'm gonna try your way because mine always ends up rolling up, like yours did...lol
Hi Cathy! Thank you for watching. Yes, this will get the curls out. No more ‘sausage’ scarves😁. All the best to you!🧶🧶🌻
Well I did one row of e and one row of Purl instead accidentally but it's working mine is just going to be unique!
Hello again Wambui! Having watched this video made me think, could you do the same on a straight loom using only one side?! Just a thought 🤔
Yes, you can!🧶🧶🌻
No more rolling in scarfs! Gr8 demo! Thanks!
You are fantastic! Greatly appreciate!
Hi Patricia! Thank you so very much for watching. Thank you for the lovely comment. It means a lot to me. All the best to you!🧶🧶🌻
Do you do classes in person
Love your tutorial; Just wondering how many pegs would you suggest for an average scarf ?
All the best to you!🌻🌻🤗
I’m so glad I saw this video. I was thinking of making a scarf in the circular loom. Would it make a difference ironing the scarf?
Hi Yasmine! I suppose you could iron - or, what you would want to do is what is called ‘blocking’ - (a link to see that is here. How to Loom Knit A Placemat - Easy - Two Stitches - Bonus: How to Block Your Loom Knitted Placemat ruclips.net/video/oLTuu3Ayzpw/видео.html Go to 34:43 to see blocking.)
However, I believe the quality of your basic knitted scarf is going to be better if you find away to incorporate at least one other stitch. Ewrap and purl make a very easy and nice looking combination - ie. ewrap a row and then purl the next. What stitch were you going to use?🌻🧶🌻
can you show again how to do the turn on the first and last peg.i couldn't see to well on how you did your turn on the last purl stitch.
Thank you. Apologies for delayed reply. I have made a note that this will be something to cover in one of the next videos. Thank you for watching.🧶
My god thank you for this. I am making a hat and scarf for myself and wanted the simplest way without buying a new loom.
Hi Tactical! Thank you so much for watching. I am happy that you found the video helpful. Thank you for sharing and leaving such a lovely comment. All the best to you!🧶🧶🌻
Didn't see this question in comments. Is it good, bad, or doesn't matter if the loop twists when you pull it off the peg?
Hi Stacey3107! It should not matter if the final loop should twist when taking the yarn off the loom. Once you cut the working yarn from the scarf, you are going to use a darning needle to hide the yarn ends. Maybe you have already watched this video:
How To Bind Off A Flat Scarf On A Round Loom 🧶Wambui Made it ruclips.net/video/8ERQ_lQO7MA/видео.html
If you haven’t watched already, it may help too.
I hope this helps you. Thank you for watching and I appreciate the question. 🌻🌻🧶🌻
@@WambuiMadeIt Have not yet, but was planning to when I got to that point. You are a wonderful teacher, thank you!
Oh, let me back up a little. If You are referring to the pearl loops twisting, then it can make a difference in your stitches looking even. If the pearls stitches try to twist just try to put them on uniformly - the way the loop is when it comes off the loop. I am sorry that I misunderstood.
@@WambuiMadeIt no worries, I'm making this for me, so if it's wonky I don't mind, but now I know to not let them twist 😉
hi, mrs wambui. one question. Can I make an ear warmer withe the loom? do you have ear warmer tutorial
How to add Bling / Rhinestones to Loom Knitting Projects ruclips.net/video/KIPzwnq-v9o/видео.html
Thanks so much for this wonderful video! It helped me a lot!
Sooo happy the video help! Thank you! 🧶🌻🧶
I have a few questions if you don’t mine. Can you do two e wraps and two pearl stitches and the scarf still be straight. Or I have to one and one.
@ Thank You. I guess you don’t do classes in person
Could you do a flat stitch headband
Greetings! Thank you for watching. The only headband video that I have at this time is the one that is linked here:

Can you make Afghans with the large looms?
Hi Tina! Yes, you can make afghans with the large loom. Depending on the size afghan you want, you would make several scarves or shawls and join them together. This video will help in understanding how to join the sections together:

@@WambuiMadeIt thank you!
i love your videos Can you make a video on how to make a ponho completely round ponho on a round loom
Hi Diana! A poncho is a great idea! I think I can figure out a pattern for a poncho. It will take a while. Every project that I demonstrate, I have to at least make one or two of project to make sure I know what I am talking about. I thank you for that wonderful suggestion but it it be at least a few months. 🌻🧶🌻🧶🌻☀️
How can u make scarf with out the pearl? Do u have video for that
If you only use one stitch.
Can you just purl 2 or 3 peds at beginning and end to stop the curl? I did the hat in the basic knit stitch
🌻🌻🧶🌻 The Afghan Loom Part 2 from Wambui Made It ruclips.net/video/0buMQVXeFhQ/видео.html

you are awesome but I still don't understand what you do? Do you just wrap than purl over and over? someone help me😭

Hi Tamie, thank you for watching! 🧶🌻🌻🧶
I love this
Will scarves curl without the purl stitch?
Unless you are using a straight loom, the scarves will curl if it is made up of just one stitch repeated over and over. There has to be a second stitch to balance it out - if you are using a round loom. 🧶🌻🧶🌻🧶
Will a scarf curl on a long loom with out purl stitch

It will take me a while to get it. Are there any books you can suggest and where to get them. I use to do looming years ago. I want to start again , I am much older. I don't think as good as I use to. It would be another tool such as learning with the books
