Never underestimate the level of affection of birds. I had a parrot who I loved so much. I took him in as a baby and we were very attached to each other. He would sleep in my shirt and take baths in the sink. He was such a happy bird. He was very kind to other people and flew on them if he liked them, he’d play with their hair and jump on their shoulders. However he was very protective of me if he didn’t like someone. Oh, my, just keep your shiny things away from them! A friend of mine took an earing off and laid it on the arm of her chair on the back porch.
