      And her kittens too.
I’ve worked w/them. _Very necessary_ to get her spayed, so no more wild kittens are brought into a very harsh world w/o a home.
The kittens can be socialized & gotten good homes...as well as fixed, too.
There’s ppl w/barns that will take the adults as barn kitties, too.
      It’s a win/win all around!
Feral cats have _very hard_ lives. And sadly, it’s passed on to their kittens by the thousands, each year.
Caring ppl have the opportunity to help stop it, even if for only 1, & her offspring. That 1 alone will add up to hundreds of feral cats on the streets.

What a precious little bludger is the kookaburra. My bird feeder attracts sprigs, titmouse, bluejays and colorful woodpeckers. When I am tardy in replenishing the feeder, some of them will place wing on hip, tap the foot and roll the eyes as if to say, "Really?"

I used to live out in the bush & would always leave my front sliding door unlocked. Every day I would come home from work to find my horse JJ & 5 or 6 Kookaburras in my kitchen waiting for me to come home. JJ would slide the door open to let himself & the birds in. I never fed the birds so I never knew why they came inside.
JJ thought he was a dog & would sometimes lay on the carpet & watched tv with me.

The "jungle bird"/ "monkey call" hooting sound frequently used in movie special effects for stereotypical jungle environment noise is the laughing call of the kookaburra (which doesn't live in the jungles of South America or India).

What a beautiful video. So comforting in these very troubling times. We live in the New York Hudson Valley. We’ve decided to place large heaps of seeds on the ground instead of the bird feeders so that the mourning doves and squirrels can enjoy. It’s a beautiful site to see the sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, mourning doves and squirrels all eating together, almost as a family. Thank you once again.
