- Here are a few fixes you can use to help you with the reinstall of MacOS.
Most common one of course is the application/installer damaged or corrupted.
REPORTED ERRORS:
Some people get no response when they press and hold the "OPTION" key, this could mean that the USB is not reading correctly by the mac. There are a few people who have said the install file says it is damaged, again it could be the USB drive. I had to try 2 different USB drives to get the mac working.
In the case that you get an error message THIS COPY OF THE MACOS HIGH SIERRA IS DAMAGED It means you are using an older MacBook (2011-12) or older. Which means when the MacBook tried to connect to Apple servers there is no active certificate or reads as expired. So in this case you have to turn off WIFI go into internet recovery and open terminal and set the date to:
1112131416
November 12, 13:14, 2016
MM/DD/HH/MM/YY
Check out our store for MacOS DMG files and much more!
32f09e.myshopify.com/
This method has worked for me.
Setting the date back manually should work for most people. This forces the Apple servers to contact with the MacBook and restore.
Another fix is a physical HDD cable fix if your MacBook is NOT recognizing the HDD/SSD. This is mostly linked to the white folder with a question mark because Mac is UNABLE to find an OS installed.
Last fix is for the installer stuck on the progress bar.
1. Power on Mac and hold the CMD+R keys to boot into recovery mode.
2. Select the Utilities menu at the top of the screen and go to Terminal
3. Enter these two commands
cd /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/var/db/caches/opendirectory
mv ./mbr_cache ./mbr_cache-old
4. Exit and Restart Наука
This video has been an absolute god send, i've looked at multiple guides, tried multiple methods and dmg files, thought i'd approached the situation from every angle but just couldn't get the installer to boot properly.
I took your advice and altered the date and it worked instantly.
Thank you so much for your help mate.
My English is so bad but… I literally spent hours downloading different MacOS High Sierra systems, passing that was the problem and just with this video, I fixed the problem in one fell swoop. Thank you very much brother, you deserve a lot of likes and subscribers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏼
You're a savior man, i spent alot of time trying to figure out this 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Dude, you're awesome. You just save my life.. haha.. After a week seeking on internet many tutorials and downloaded many OS versions you saved me sharing the DMG and after teaching me how to solve the problem of "corrupted file". Thank you so much!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This video (in combination with the other part 1 video) helped me to resolve my issue which i have been fighting with for an entire day. There are so many videos all repeating the same default stuff. None of that worked for me though. I used almost everything you suggested in your video(s). Have a great day, week, month, year, decade!
My god..have been trying for weeks. You are a Saviour my friend. God bless you. This time change hack was like Super awesome. Cheers dude. Keep up the good work. :)
I spent probably upwards of 24 straight hours trying to get this to work. Your tutorials helped me to not only install on a usb which nobody talks about, get through the damaged install error, and get into the OS. You are an absolute legend, I only wish I could give you multiple likes right now

Hey, wondering if you can help. Used the method, got the installer working, left it for a while and then it got to a point where it kept restarting over and over to the point where as soon as the Mac booted up it would immediately reboot so I had to unplug the hard drive and start again. Any idea what caused this and how to prevent it? Cheers.😊

Hi, I've got another problem. I did everything that you said in 1/2 video. USB drive prepared, now I'm launching my iMac with Option key hold, but Mac doesn't see my USB drive. The only thing i see is "Recovery-10.10.5" with hard disk icon.
Same here. Maybe the usb is not compatible or your dmg is not bootable
can the date setting be done via terminal of the USB flash drive boot? i cant manage to acess builtin cmd+R, partition is gone
Try the following:
Hold down alt + command + R
Or
Turn off the Mac.
Press the on button - and keep it pressed.
When the Apple logo appears text will appear informing you that if you continue holding the power button you will be able to access startup options.
Eventually you will be able to select Options > Continue and this will open up Recovery.

Hey thx so much for the video!
I have an iMac 2019 trying to upgrade to Monterey. I have a bootable HD but when I boot up it only gives me an option to install the is on the external HD not the internal. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Did you format both the Macintosh HD and the Macintosh Data? Wipe the drive and delete all the partitions then create a new APFS partition and try that.
Thx for the timely response.
I only wiped the external and made it bootable. Are you saying I need the wipe the internal HD too?
What MacOS are you currently running? To clarify the bootable does show up but the destination drive for Monterey, you only have the option for the external and not the internal?
Yes
That is correct. No internal HD option after using bootable.
Currently using Mojave… thoughts?

Hey please help, when I power my 2010 macbook and press option key it only shows the choose network option and it doesn't show any other options like the bootable drive or the hard drive
For the 2010 you will have to make a bootable USB using an older MacOS which would be Snow Leopard. Send me an email and I'll send you a temp download link for it.
I am trying to install an IOS on a A1200. It will not allow me to use the CMD + R feature to access the recovery mode. What else can I try? I can't access my USB because it only shows the HDD and then if you select it, it freezes on the APPLE logo...
Hey, let me look into this.
After creating the bootable USB according to Part 1, that USB drive is not recognized as a bootable entity upon pressing Option at startup. Allowing the system to fully load, the inserted USB is shown on desktop as "Install masOS". Opening "Install macOS" shows a InstallOS.pkg file, and double clicking on InstallOS.pkg leads to the message "This package contains a program that determines if this software can be installed. Are you sure you want to continue?" Pressing Continue causes the message Aert This version of Mac OS cannot be installed on this computer. Any work arounds?
If you are able to load into the desktop then you can use the recovery option to wipe and restore the MacOS to factory settings. What MacOS are you currently running and which DMG file did you download?
Need a bit of help as my iMac does not pick up the USB bootable drive.
Not sure if I must create a new Disc Image on the Hard Drive?
When input the code in terminal, I am getting an error that there is no such file directory

Use something to wipe the hard disk. Then go about the install.
Hi, I followed your guide point by point, only it always gives me the error ''Unable to verify this installed application copy of OS X yosemite. The copy may have been corrupted during download''.

Did you try the date change method? I have a video which I go through it step-by-step.
@@techcontrolofficial yeah I have tried the data change method, even more than one date
Try a different MacOS version, such as El Captaon and see if you have any luck.
Okay, I no longer get the “damaged installer” error after date change, but it hangs at the apple logo, even after inputting the Terminal code.
It simply returns to macOS Utilities menu (Recovery) with no message given.
2016 MacBook Pro using usb 3 High Sierra installer you provided. TransMac prepared installer fine.
Thoughts?
Terminal replies “No such file or directory”. My SSD is named Macintosh HD, so this is weird.
Try to erase the SSD and delete the partition. Then add a partition volume and rename it. Lastly, try to run the bootable DMG again.
Your backdating method worked! I was using a date before my MacBook was built! 👀 Thanks!!😅👍🏽
Ok great!
does it matter if your google drive links download as .rar and not dmg?
Doest matter at all. In fact it's zipped with rar so the only option is to download it as an "rar" file. Once downloaded you can unzip/extract using winrar and you will see the dmg file.
Hey man thanks for the videos. Everything’s been going well till I tried to install the OS. When I click on “Install HighSierra” it takes me to the connect to WiFi place like it’s tryna do an online recovery. I’m frustrated
Yes it has to connect to wifi so it can authenticate the certificate via the Apple servers. Once it xomnects to wifi then it should install the OS as normal.
