Nick, you have a great channel at The Science Asylum.
While I understand the internal drive to continue to build your subscribers organically, hopefully your moderation at the event will bear fruit. If you could do a collab with one or more of the heavy hitters, it would pull your viewers closer to the numbers that your hard work deserves.
The work that you guys do is *so valuable* in America. In a little but not insignificant way, science educators are helping (saving?) the United States. Keep up the great content and I wish you the very best.

Yeah, I drove to Yellowstone last year and Maine year before... because I'm from Michigan and we drive.
Yep! I'm not sure _why_ Michiganders drive everywhere. Maybe it's because we're so used to driving up and down in our own (very tall) state?

Agreed. Honestly, EduCon never would have happened if it wasn't for Jacklyn's (SciJoy) really hard work. She's our hero.
Fantastic work. Seeing so many of my favorite science personalities on RUclips in one place made me quite envious of anyone in the room. Would have been fascinating to listen to the discussions. Well done yourself Nick, great stuff and keep up the science!
PS. I think Carl Sagan would have loved this event.

You guys are building a new industry, pretty interesting. I'm curious how this will do in like 10 years? I can imagine somebody getting homework: "what those 3 videos". What I'm missing in all of this is structure, something that a simple book with content table gives you pretty easily. I can imagine a place for having tests, and depending on the result of the test a respective video would be recommended for you. I guess this is more similar to something like Coursera.
I'm pretty sure Peter from Stacks&Facts has a database somewhere with all of us EDU people in it. I don't think it's very user-friendly though.

Kurgzerat-In a Nutshell?
It was great to see so many faces of people who don't seem to make videos anymore but live off the back catalog or are on a 3-month release schedule. Please don't go that way, it's super frustrating. Sorry for being so critical but as someone who doesn't do Cons but is just a YT viewer, this is my perception. Didn't see 3Blue1Brown there, probably too busy making a video (was that a harsh thing to say? lol)

Yep, Grant was there. We talked for a minute. I didn't know it was him and then he spoke and I was like "OMG!"
Also, don't worry. If I went longer than a month without posting a video, that means I'm in a coma or I'm dead. Especially since I'm trying to make this a full-time job.
He has such a distinctive voice! That's how I found him at vidcon a few years ago. He was asking a question at a panel and his voice just suddenly came through the microphone clear as day and my brain was exploding "That's the guy!!!"
Yeah, it's hard to recognize people's faces when they never show their face in videos. It's why I didn't recognize Sam from Wendover Productions

Looking Glass Universe did not come to VidCon US this year, unfortunately. It would have been cool to hangout with her in person.

She was not at VidCon US. If she was, we would have hung out together. Flying across an ocean is expensive.
Do common people go there to QnA or just RUclipsrs?
Most of the QnA panels were "community track," so you don't need a channel of your own to go. (the ticket is also cheaper)
Do you collect magnetrons? I have one from and old microwave oven, too (extracted 20 or so years ago). Would you like to get it in your collection as a souvenir from Russia? :)
