I'm gonna Hazzard a guess and say that Eric doesn't miss the wire rope of years past😂 Thank you Yankum ropes for supporting an awesome channel.
Glad you have a great sponsor like "Yankum Ropes" to keep you set for saving folks.
While watching this I thought of the old saying "I find work fascinating. I could watch it all day." Thanks for letting me watch you work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Eric, how the hell do you make good, really good content.. out of spooling a wrecker?!? I literally sat here for all 18 odd minutes of SPOOLING A WRECKER, and I feel better for having done so. Absolutely wild. Keep it up!
Mara,Eric, If that wrecker could talk the stories and the people that it has saved on trails would be a movie. God Bless
This is actually wrecker #2; the first one broke in half! Here's video of that! ruclips.net/video/Lp9m_al3jtE/видео.html
It's good to see you have someone who works beside you and don't mind getting dirty
Thanks to Yankum for keepin you guys stocked up to help get people out. They seem like a great company to deal with, someday I’m gonna get me one of their ropes.
Mermorial day will be here before we know it, thumbs up, thanks for bringing us along
Should definitely get involved with trail mater and cleetus with the tow truck drag racing!!!
that was interesting , im still watching your older videos you have been in some bad spots but come out smiling keep the videos coming
I voted for you guys as my favorite on Matt's app. Todd's personally really came through on camera and you could tell both of you were really enjoying the event.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Getting the old square body wrecker in tip top shape !!
Y’all stay safe and be blessed ✝️🙌🙏
Don't forget to go through and grease up the steering components drive shaft! Check your knuckles and brakes! Be safe & have fun!
TY for reminding me that I have to change my winch rope, and what a beautiful part of our great country! I was admiring to landscape and that cute doggie driving 😅 But seriously, you guys live in "God's Country" Really making me hate Long Island NY more and more! I would love to live in the Mid-West , that would be a dream! I hope to get out there one day 🙏 And awesome video, you guys have become my favorite thing to watch on RUclips, Keep up the good work 👍
Good to get the ol wrecker up to snuff. Take the second rope removed and have it for extension roP for blonde. 😊😊😊😊
It always pays to check your recovery gear,it's your life line, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Right on Eric glad to see you guy's givin the Wrecker some love. Are you going to do more to it ??? Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one.
That's the plan!
32 years hoisting and rigging, never once looked at minimum breaking strength always working load limit, I don’t know why companies who make winches rope always emphasize breaking strength.
@@jcar1417they always rate it at a little lower than what was tested at. That guarantee’s that if it breaks it’s either beyond its life span or the operator is putting too heavy of a load on it.
That’s why in industry, wire rope, slings, shackles etc have a working load rating so you don’t use it on a heavier load than it’s rated for, also a factor of safety is built in. You tell a guy it’s breaking strength is 20000 lbs he’ll try 19999 you say it’s has a working load of 8000 then anything above that is on him, i guess the off road recovery business is unregulated.
The wrecker still needs a little bit more love, for sure; but it surely needed new winch lines!
I like the way you two work together.
keep the clips coming, I still enjoy watching
Glad you had time to fix the wrecker. I'm impressed with how long you have gotten from the older yankum rope. Hopefully the new ones last as long if not longer. BTW what caused the truck to run so poorly, do you think it's the lousy fuel today. A big block is usually a beast when you need low in torque. Good luck on the next tow job.
That's a smallblock 383 stroker !
It always feels good to get new parts put on a machine. Those nice new Yankum ropes sure look nice!!
Yes it does!
So Wise , Thank You . A fine example of , So that's how that works and how to do that
i was going to ask then you said it at the end .. the front cable being used less would be a super nice extension just need a loop in the end of it 😀
Interesting & very informative. Off with the old, and on with the new (Yankum). Good luck with your new gear, operation and recovery season.
Great job U 2 nice new rope on the old wreaker and the winch.
Nice work Eric and seat cover
you guys are a good team.
I don't miss steel cable on winches. They would chew you up, swapping them out. Those broken wires man they were horrible!!
great work guys
Great Video.🙏🙏
Good job 👍
such riveting content
I would not have gone back inside the shop to remove the other wench line. Because I would have removed it when I removed the rear one.
Why didn't you roll it up as you took the old cable off the wrecker?
Eric; I have been busy at work; what's the scoop on the Topkick; did the Duramax give up the ghost?
Just a tip. YMMV if you crochet' the now rope extension (and extension cords, any other kind of cord) they dont tangle.. easier to manage fast when you need to put them to use. below is example with an extension cord. Obviously with rope when using it you have to undo the whole rope unlike shown near end of vid clip below.
