- Hi, I'm Jace Diehl. Ever since the first Toy Story 4 trailer debuted online, people have been wondering where Bo Peep is. After some investigating, I've found the first official image of Bo and even have some ideas of how she may fit into the plot!
ABOUT “TOY STORY 4”:

My main concern right now is Mr Potato Head. For Toy Story 3, Blake Clark did a great job replacing Jim Varney as Slinky Dog, but whoever replaces Don Rickles needs to be VERY good.
Maybe Jerry Stiller would be a good choice, he kind of sounds like Don Rickles.
@@moviemaniac2159 He would be PERFECT but they're going to cast someone much younger like Alan Tudyk. Jerry is 91 and in not good health, close age to Don before he passed. They would have to replace him again very quickly, and I don't think they want to keep swapping actors out. This is a franchise that will last for infinity and beyond, so they need someone that can provide the voice for years.
Maybe they'll have him lose his mouth piece.

@NorthStars the Steagle I don't know! She was more of a background character with fewer lines and this kind of led to the reason she wasn't in 3. The Voice Actress wasn't happy with the pay deal and the team didn't see her character as important enough to negotiate especially as Jesse would dominate the role. If anything I think an evolution in her personality will bring her more up to being relatable with this generations young audience and could make her more story worthy for the millennials. I think her old personality was OK but is probably a bit outdated as she was the damsel in distress character.

Six Hand Spice in toy story 3 they were talking about the multiple toys that they’ve lost from multiple yard sales. They named toys like Wheezy and Bo peep. I wonder how she is gonna come back. Maybe her new owner made her have a fierce personality and woody and bo ran into each other some how? A scene of the convo is at 1:51 lol

I actually agree with your theory on the main plot. Here's my theory on the ending... After their main adventure, they return home to that girl Bonnie that was their new owner at the end of Toy Story 3. Since almost 10 years have passed, she is probably too old now to play with the toys. The end scene has Andy (about 28 years old now) drive up to his mom's house to visit with a wife and son that's maybe around 3 years old. Bonnie sees the little boy and returns all of Andy's toys, so they can start over again with Andy's son!!! Bo, who probably didn't go back initially with the group will ultimately come back after seeing this happen from afar. The last scene will then have Andy giving Woody to his son, and telling him how it was his favorite toy when he was his age. The little boy will fall in love with Woody, and as Andy walks away, his son will say..."Daddy, can you play with me?" Andy will pick up Woody and start playing with his son just like he did in the opening scene of the first Toy Story. (A flashback will likely occur) The story will come full circle, the sad music will start to play and everyone will bawl their eyes out!! BOOM!!! Toy Story 4!!! End of a great series!

Oakley Brighton Animation and character design are different. Perhaps a movie with the original porcelain Bo Peep model would have been difficult to work around with for action scenes, but was there really any need to update her face as well?
I come from the future! (I’m suprised nobody commented on this video from actually seeing the movie in 4 years), but if you seen this movie by now, nope, this isn’t the same Bo at all, she acts like a completely different character, a strong female character. 😔😣 She has 0 of her original personality. It isn’t “Bo”.

Great video! Just a thought, but Lotso's primary story (along with Big Baby and Chuckles the Clown) is that he was a lost/left behind toy, much like Buzz and Woody were in the first film. Its unlikely they'd turn Bo Peep into an antagonist like Lotso, so I'm curious to see how her story unfolds! She was one of my favorite characters in the franchise, so I'm excited that she's back! My guess is that she was thrown out when she broke her arms (since she's technically a part of a porcelain lamp) and escaped from there.
In my opinion, Chuckles looks a little bit like a Mr Mime from Pokemon

Pixar has definitely improved on newer animations at practically Every toy story movie and we haven't realized that until Bo Peep's new look. They are giving her the Wreck It Ralph 2, Princessy look, I call it. Didn't even all the princesses get a new look as well currently ever since the Rapunzel movie? They all look alike, but different skin tones and apparel. They just want to have her look current to how they design the females to look. We don't see it in Woody, or Buzz, etc because we are used to their look so easily since they and other familiar characters are more shown in the movies. Bo Peep was only in the 1st and 2nd movie. I feel that if she were in every one of them, we seriously wouldn't mind the new look. I don't mind it, but nothing beats the original I am glad she is returning.
Her original look will be in TS4 when they show what actually happened to her. BUT her new outfit is still the original outfit if you look closely, that blue suit is her under garments. All she did was ditch the dress.
She looks way better and her new oufit is just the clothes she was wearing under the dress in toy story 1 - 2
Her original look is just a lamp not a toy and I think her new look so they can sell her toys
neo zeon She was a porcelain doll whose display stand was a night light/lamp. She belonged to Molly as a baby. Andy always used her as a toy and in the fourth movie they explain that anything that’s played with as a toy can come to life. That’s why Sporky is there to explain that to us. Bonnie creates him at school & she plays with him at home which is how he comes into the picture. That theory also explains how Bo Peep (a lamp) came to life even tho she wasn’t a real toy to begin with.

Australian here, Sanity is pretty much dead. About two stores still exist in this great land, so props to you for actually figuring out its existence.
The extra details tell us that Woody was made in 1953, Buzz Lightyear was made in 1987, and Bo Peep was made in 1966.
The Buzz Lightyear in the first film must be the special 1995 glow-in-the-dark edition and the version with the bonus utility belt is the special 1999 edition released just in time for the new millennium.

Porcelain dolls have been made for ages, so I would assume she was made with cloth or lace clothes.

But procalin figurines, that are part of lamps, usually have clothes that are painted on (on the top half, at least) to make it easier on the maker.

I like her new design, but I don't know, I mean, her polka-dotted dress along with her bonet looked much better on her and fits her better honestly. :( The new outfit they gave her just doesn't look right on her and just doesn't fit her character to me... :(
UPDATE: I saw the movie, VERY disappointed at what they did to her… They made her into a strong female character with 0 of her original personality and thanks to that Hollywood built on to this, Next Dot Warner from the Animaniacs reboot, and now Princess Peach is gonna be next for the Mario Movie turning out like this “Bo”, while Mario is bumbling. When will they stop?

And how did he get it off? The image I saw of Bo Peep and her sheep on that lamp, they were slightly tilted. Which means, like with most lamps, those decorations would've been superglued or something on.
I think that idea of bo peep not being a toy has something to do with the story.

I Think That This Bo Peep Will Not Be The Same One In 1 & 2. In Those, From What I Remember, She Was A Solid Lamp. I Believe This One Is A More Modern “rebooted” Bo Peep. And Not The Same One Woody Knows. He Will Have To Rebuild His Relationship With Her. But I Don’t Know.

When I saw Bo Peep's new design I got the impression that her original dress had gotten ruined along the way, or maybe she lives a life where wearing a big fluffy dress just isn't practical, so now she's in her "underwear", so to speak. Considering her arms and staff has also gotten damaged it kinda makes sense.

My theory is yes she’s a lost toy but she goes from yard sale to yard sale to get played with so she doesn’t die. Like before she needs a child to survive, so when she goes to a yard sale a little kid might play with her and give here energy to live. I don’t know just a theory. I agree with you on the plot of Toy Story 4. I believe that the toys are going to get lost. Maybe at a fair because in the second teaser it took place at a fair. The toys are going to end up in lost and found. They might find Peep there.

I really, genuinely think that the Bo Peep on the posters is not OUR Bo Peep. For example, on the Toy Story short, "Toy Story Of Terror" there is a bunch of toys that seem rouge, and I think this Bo Peep is like that, due to her more Warrior themed look. Also, when you literally type on Google "What is Toy Story 4 about?" The results have always been, up until now because it's changed, but it used to say "woody on the search for Bo Peep" or something along those lines.
So I believe, or predict, that Woody and the Gang has decided to team up with this Warrior Bo Peep in order to help find OUR Bo Peep.
This may also help with the fact that they could possibly find Warrior Bo Peep at the Carnival, which is seen in the teaser trailers, possibly became a lost toy there and Forky could be someone that they find there too.
See, this guy knows how its done. He did his research, he backed it up, he brought it out clear and concise. This is how you do it. Good job man. The only downside I could see is I'm not sure about the outfit. The others could change outfits cause they're made out of fabric but wasn't Bo made out of porcelain? or some other breakable material? which we learn about in the first movie. How does she get a new look if she was made of Porcelain? Good job on the video, I loved it.

Bo Peep was wearing a purple cape in the merchandise, similar to the purple cape Bonnie was wearing in the clip you briefly showed of her, which would suggest that she eventually becomes Bonnie's toy.

Bo fell into the hands of one of those doll customizers on youtube.
I feel like while Woody and the gang try to make "Sporky" (or whatever his name is), Bonnie and some of her toys go to the carnival, after that they find BoPeep and discover she was sold and then later abandoned, after that she made her way to the carnival. Bonnie leaves and the toys have to go, after that idk. That's just my theory of the story line
Also notice how in one of the clips that Bo is talking to Woody, you can see frilly ends of pant legs underneath her dress, just like her new design. I think she got lost, or abandoned, as you theorized, and ripped off her dress, realizing how much it wasn't a help in her reality, where she must fend for herself.
In toy story 3, Andy did not give up his toys. They accidentally got donated and found their way back. And for Little Boe, I think she is a new toy version of the original. So Woody might try to flirt with her thinking she's the same Boe but she would have no idea who he is.

I'm literally sobbing the reason they left her out of 3 was that she was too delicate and easily breakable for that journey.

Haven't seen any comments (haven't had time to read through them all, though) that Bo herself is technically also "not a toy." In the first film it was established that Bo was a plastic figurine that had broken off the base of a lamp in Molly's nursery. Bo and her sheep are "borrowed" by Andy, who ostensibly would not otherwise play with dolls.
As a figurine, Bo would be molded in one piece and prone to breakage. Perhaps she and the other "missing" toys were donated, never made their way to new owners, and have been fending for themselves with Bo as their leader. And, would Bo also not still follow her play pattern/super objective, seeking her lost sheep?
when Toy Story 3 came out, I knew I had to make my own animated cult classic.
I have a theory...Bo was purchased by a little girl (garage sale), bo witnessed the child receiving some sort of abuse. In an attempt to save her, Bo came "alive" to help her child. She got broken in the process of getting the child to safety...she is now a rogue doll. Her demeanor is now tough (aka wonder woman)

Woah! Bo looks bad ass now! I am curious to find out what happened to her to cause this change in character though. I also like the updates they made to her face, it looks like they made her look prettier somehow. I am sorry about the damage to her arms and shepherd's crook/Bo-Peep staff though (Huh? Bo-Peep staff? See what I did there?), but at least she has found a way to mend them, even though she is porcelain and that tape, or whatever it is, shouldn't be strong enough to hold her together through whatever she has been forced to endure. I also look forward to Annie Potts returning to voice Bo again. Thanks for this video, it is awesome!

Pixar is crap. Dreamworks had a greater story coming out next month and I saw it. The Dragon movie does have some traits of the first two movies, but had fun ending, great conflict, nice animal romance, and very touching storyline.

Andy didn't willingly give his toys to Sunnyside. He was going to put them in the attic, but then he went to help Molly carry a box while dropping the bag. Andy's mom thought that Andy was throwing them out and put them on the curb. Later, the toys escaped before the garbage truck came, and it was Jessie's idea to go to Sunnyside. Otherwise, nice video!
