All the boulders, soil, plants, topdressings and tools came with me today in Greg’s truck! Watch as Kevin, Mel and I demo a small area and create something beautiful!
Love Tapestry in a truck. So lovely to see something we can all do. As much as I love love your big designs, most of us can’t afford or be able to bring in huge rocks and plants. Thank you Laura.
I absolutely love this beautiful tapestry. It’s so eye-catching and intricate. I love how it tells a story. I recently moved from your neighborhood to Ohio. I tapestried next to my garage in the fall with some succulents in the fall, including sempervivums and sedums as well as some classic alpine rock garden plants. The succulents made it through the snow, looking good all the way. As the alpine plants are regrowing themselves now that it’s spring…the tapestries look better than any other yard in town. Thank you for all your inspiration. I can now say that it is possible to grow some of these plants outside in the Midwest all year round.
Hi thanks for answering. I know this is weird. I was wanting a bird bath and a couple of those gazing balls. So pretty. Love your channel and your yard. Sandy
Hi, Laura. Was hoping to see how you got the barrel cactus out of that pot. Do you have a video that covers something similar, how to remove plants from over-full pots? Thanks for your videos - love seeing your work. Been a fan for many years. 😊
Very much appreciate this lovely transformation in a small space. 😍🤩 How often do you go out to maintain it? Really really like the kinds of pebbles you used in the installation - they add to the tapestry feel. Not a fan of the cypress (or cypresses in general) but it’s fine tucked away in the corner. Looking forward to the next phase!!
Burgandy lava (any lava) sucks. It's like an out-of-date seventies kitchen. Time to let the lava go! Blue balls suck too. Plants and rocks are perfect; human-rendered objects take away from the natural beauty. That dog is beyond adorable. Asparagus ferns, though pretty and hearty, are tenacious plants. wow. Boulders are lovely.
The asparagus fern is absolutely beautiful! I can't imagine why u would say it's ugly or not suitable but I hope u re-home it maybe?? I'm feeling like since it's not a succulent or cactus then u prob toss it? So disappointing tho 😞😟😣
Kevin and Mel are heart throbs. We need to go back to their gardens soon!

For the curved blank wall? Blue Pilocereus mixed with Golden and Silver torch cactus for eye color candy.
Kevin’s laugh is so infectious!
Hope she decides to get rid of that huge cypress.Makes no sense there. That fern is nice ,but just not there.Let’s hope you can convince😁😁
Yum ❤😊

Sticks on fire would look good against the narrow wall.
All those rocks and shells could use some sticks on fire, imho.

Is it bad I like the ferns? lol they remind be of big fluffy fox tails.

It’s an invasive weed, here in SoCal
Ok 👍
Like, but I would have removed the Italian Cypress 😊
👍💪🤗
What are the best gloves to use with succulents and cactus?
Do you use lining between soil and rock?
