I think josh was trying to channel lanegan a bit on this one. On the Era version he brought more of his own vibe. The Era version was actually recorded during the Lullibies sessions to be put on that album, (would have fit better) but for whatever reason was left out only to be put on Era. But, it gave that album a little soothingness along with River in the Road and Into the Hollow to separate all the mechanical fury the rest of the album was putting out.

Think it just a regular A7 barre chord for the first half of the bar then for the 2nd half add the flat7 (G) up an octave, so 575655 to 575685
