This time, Glencadam 10yr old. A Highland single malt which seems to have been growing in popularity recently.

So few strictly bourbon matured whiskies out there. I always have this one around because it's pure whisky. What I want whisky to be.

I"ve picked it up, but not opened it yet. I appreciate you commenting on the virtue of a bit of water in some drams like this one. Often it makes a big difference and it is why we like higher ABV to begin with so we can find our own sweet spot.
I think you'll enjoy it Bud. In fairness...I've had better, more exciting whiskys, but I think it's the high quality that this is presented at, that makes it worthwhile. There are, as well we know, other whiskies out there presented at 46%, NCF and no colour added...but they don't all come in this good and at this value.

Great review Jim! Tried this as part of a Glencadam tasting and this was the surprise of the evening. It’s just a great, easy to drink honest whisky for around £30! Bought it right away and finished it in no time. Definitely my favourite bottle from 2020.
Cheers Mark. Yeah, for something that's been around for quite a while, I think it took a lot of us by surprise in 2020. Good to know that some of the old standards can still do that.
'They need to bottle like their reputation depends on it ...' - now there's a line! True dat! Jim, Amazon are now doing funky things with whiskey shipping to N.I. What's going on? Will that change? If not where will you get your stuff for the future? Where do you pick up good bottles in N.I?
Yeah I only noticed that when Graeme Horner pointed it out. I'll not be very pleased if they put a complete stop on shipping to NI but, if they do...there's hee-haw I can do about it. I'd dare say Fairleys in Coleraine will start to get a lot more business 😄.

I wish you had put this out and I had seen it two weeks again. I had this bottle in my hands and it was on offer, but I have heard so little, I did not purchase. Now .. well now I regret it. It sounded fresh and excellent. Thank you for sharing. Happy New Year!

Yes, the glencadam 10. A good malt still at a good price. First had this around four years ago got another bottle this year ,in my opinion for price/quality its one of the best 10 year olds (not peaty) out there. Good review Jim enjoyed it, cheers.
P.S. Hope glencadam don’t get too much attention cos you know what could happen dont you!!! Quality goes down prices go up.
