All Saints es un grupo musical femenino que publicó su primer disco en el año 1997 formado por Melanie Blatt y Shaznay Lewis (fundadoras de la banda), y Nicole Appleton y Natalie Appleton, integradas más tarde en el grupo. Han vendido 11.000.000 de copias hasta la fecha.
Melanie y Shaznay comenzaron su carrera musical cantando como coros en el ZTT Recording Studios en All Saints Road, Londres. En 1993, Melanie, Shaznay, y la tercera miembro original llamada Simone Rainford decidieron formar un grupo musical y grabar un disco juntas. Según Simone, pensaron en llamarle al grupo Spice, pero decidieron que eso no era buena idea, y decidieron llamarse All Saints 1.9.7.5., nombre de la calle donde se conocieron y el año de sus nacimientos. Fueron contratadas por ZTT Records UK.
En 1994, All Saints 1.9.7.5. actuaron por primera vez en el Touch Magazine en el Notting Hill Carnival. Las tres grabaron tres canciones, pero fracasaron. Además, Melanie y Simone tuvieron conflictos en cuanto a la dirección del grupo que causó serias tensiones en la banda.
En el verano de 1995, Simone Rainford dejó el grupo y ZTT Records despidió al grupo. A pesar de todo, Melanie y Shaznay decidieron continuar y buscar reemplazamiento para Simone. Después de muchas audiciones, el padre de Melanie conoció a Nicole Appleton, quién conoció a Melanie días después en el Sylvia Young Theatre School. Shaznay apoyó a Appleton para que se uniese al grupo. Su hermana Natalie Appleton fue la última en intergrarse al grupo, después de que diese a luz a su hija Rachel dos años antes, y no quería dejar su maternidad al margen. Pero, los padres de Nicole y Natalie le ofrecieron ayuda para criar a su bebé, para que pudiese seguir con su carrera musical.
Después de formarse como nuevo grupo musical en mayo de 1996, las cuatro conocieron a Karl Gordon, miembro de la banda Outlaw Posse, con quién grabaron un demo "I Know Where It's At". El siguiente paso fue buscar un nuevo contrato musical, pero muchas de las discográficas inglesas querían llevarlas a convertirse en un duplicado de las Spice Girls. Afortunadamente, el demo consiguió entrar en London Records, donde John Benson cerró el contrato de las chicas en noviembre de 1996.
En 1997, "I Know Where It's At", su single-debut, debutó en el #4 de las Listas de Ventas Inglesas. El siguiente single, "Never Ever", fue el comienzo de la consagración como grupo en el mundo de la música, vendiendo más de 1,000,000 de singles sólo en el Reino Unido, y más de 1,000,000 en el resto del mundo. El single ganó 2 Premios Brit en 1998, por el Mejor Single y el Mejor VideoClip. Otros premios son: "Artista Revelación en los MTV Europe Music Awards", Poco después, "All Saints" sería su álbum-debut, del que vendieron más de 5,000,000 de discos en todo el mundo. Su tercer single, "Pure Shores", fue un éxito en las listas de ventas de todo el mundo, debido a que fue usado para la película de Leonardo DiCaprio "La Playa" The Beach, convirtiéndose en el segundo Best-Selling Single de 2000.
