I forgot how much she loved this particular song until recently when it was randomly suggested by my youtube app. Its like how did it know she liked this song so much to suggest it to me? I heard this in 1996 and it was the only song I would repeat on my walkman. I would go out to the woods alone listening to this and I was in my own world of dreams. Listening to this now as an adult, and a very cynical goth, I am weeping. I am braught back to those moments, where my spirit took flight on winds of Heaven, and it still does when I hear this. Its a part of my own secret haven, and it is my own.

The song is from 1995. I've known it since the Dream Version in 1996. A great masterpiece that reminds me of a wonderful time in my youth. All of us here who hear the song today still have that spirit inside us - let's live it, every day. They don't want that, but we can. Even today. It's not a hobby to do it, no, the world needs it!

Rest in peace, Robert Miles. The first time I ever heard this track was on a late night BBC Radio 1's essential mix at around 3 am sometime during 1996 and I was mesmerised.
Did Robert Miles die? I did not know this. Children (Dream Version) was the first song I heard; it was playing at Hastings in Lawton OK, on the speakers throughout the store; I bought the cd before I left....the whole cd is awesome.
For me, this song has both a sad and a happy side to it. Taking the song title into account, it reminds me a lot of how simple and fun the days where when I was young, yet it also makes me think how the naive, overly positive, outlook on life I had back then turned out to be wrong. Contrary to what one believes as a child, life isn't just always going to be great, it will go downhill many more times than one thinks. Still, both sides hold some truth; life isn't awesome all the time but it tends to present a lot of good opportunities to you nonetheless.
Eduardo F Exactly! The harder you struggle to achieve something, the better it will feel when you do. If everything went smoothly without you doing anything, what would be the point? It's only through contrast that we learn to really appreciate things, imo.

My mom passed away back in 2015, I remember she had a very diverse, extended taste in music. I forgot how much she loved this particular song until recently when it was randomly suggested by my youtube app. Its like how did it know she liked this song so much to suggest it to me? Crazy, I know. But I never really listened to this song until now. It hits me deep because my mom loved this song. I get it. I listen to it now knowing that some way through time space and exsistance we are both listening to this song. Knowing she probably did alot of deep thinking to this song, probably smoked and unwinded after a long day or event. This song was one of her get away songs I feel. I miss her. Alot. Thanks for the song.

This music is magical, I still remember its release, it was madness in a world of young people who only partied and they did it well, no story but love through dances in joy and pure happiness to be in the present moment, to worry about nothing, only instant happiness. And I learn in the comments that you died in 2017 in Ibiza. You have freed yourself from this organic portal which is the body, I am sad to learn this and happy that you are finally at home in your creation... Thank you for your masterpieces.

Even today. It's not a hobby to do it, no, the world needs it!

this tune i swear every time i listen to it, it makes me tear up in the first 15 seconds XD absolute perfection
Beautiful. :)
