OMG...Thank you so much for doing this video. I have been searching & searching for clearer instructions on how to do the l-t cast on. You made it so easy to do. I have loaded it and think I have it so I can knit hats besides the reversible ones. I laughed and laughed at not being the only one who couldn't make sense of the fancy fingers. Thank you again...so much for being you.
I don’t think I understand what the advantage of this cast-on method is, given the extra trouble it takes. When would you use it? For what projects? Thank you.
i think i've figured out . how to do the l-t cast on, but when I go to knit the stitiches almost all ump off the needle, so I get nowhere. Am I tightening too much ?
I'm sorry - this didn't help me at all. I think it may be the camera angle; when I'm using my machine I'm not looking down on it from above, I'm sitting pretty much where you are, right in front of where the yarn feeds in. Because of that, what you're doing with the yarn doesn't make sense to me (I can't even tell the tail from the working yarn). I know how to do a long tail cast on with needles; I just need to find a way to adapt that to a machine. I've seen Yay for Yarn's video; it is a bit fast but the way the yarn is being held is much closer to what I do with needles. Maybe if I turn the speed down it will be clearer... The long tail and the e wrap cast ons will be good for people who want to start with a finished edge, so hopefully what you're showing here will help some people who would like that. It just doesn't work for me.
