I thought "man, not only can this guy fly, but he KNOWS about the magic behind how planes actually fly". It's like he was giving an informal clinic on aviation theory and principles...very cool! Any info on the voltage remaining on those 5000? Great to see it maneuver with wings swept and to learn that the internal controller is compensating for the changes in center of lift!!!
@@JustwingitRC I believe I have a plausible answer about them using a very specific pack; their flight testing and feedback that will be responsible for the final programming of the controller (for elevator trim on sweeping the wings) depends on a constant WRT weight and CG. The battery they used in your video shows 800g on its spec sheet. Any deviation from this will need to be compensated for by the end user. This ought to be thoroughly spelled out in the manual that comes with the B1!

Short grass….possibly. Now because thats kinda a load question. I say this…..because everyones definition of grass or even short grass differs. Short grass to me is fairway grass. Most think they have this grass but is actually the rough Type, so my honest opinion is i have no idea if the your type of grass will work.

It seems that for the last few years Freewing has been on the cutting edge of EDF Jet development, but in these past couple of years you could see Banana Hobby releasing some very nice models. Then, out of nowhere, BAM, they release this! I've seen this plane up close; it's a winner for sure!!

It might just be you. If you say you've seen two videos on this bird, I say I have four videos on my channel. You should watch all of my videos before you come to a conclusion. It has average wing loading and tracks very well. And BTW, this is a swing wing jet. Why wouldn't it have a slightly higher wing loading? Really?

I agree Lee, the average flyer probably can't afford one, but I highly doubt they are going for the average flyer. I would not be surprised to see the pre-orders sell out on this one.
I believe I'd sacrifice the 50 bucks and wait to see if there are teething problems with the first mass production batch, as there sometimes are. Prototypes are put together very meticulously in very small numbers and flown by factory pilots. The first production batch will be mass produced and flown in large numbers in all kinds of conditions by the general public. If you're a gamer, think of it this way. The prototypes are Alpha testing, the first batch is Beta testing and is typically where previously unseen issues show up when large numbers of people start doing things the manufacturer hasn't considered. I don't fancy the idea of being a $700 Beta tester. It's worth my extra $50 to wait and see if modifications are needed and implemented. Just my two cents worth. The plane looks fantastic and seems very well engineered though. Love to see something besides an F16, Mustang, or Corsair, which most manufacturers just keep pumping out year after year after year.
My man don’t take this the wrong way but people want to hear the jet when it’s flying to really see what’s up with it. I’m trying to listen to the sound and all I hear is you just laughing and talking about random bs when it’s in the air. The point of a review is for people to see and hear it fly, not hear someone laughing in the background making noises.

The one thing I hate about electrics is the wheels that come with the kit are the cheapest Chinese junk they can put in the box. It’s sounds like the old steel wheel skateboards of the 60’s when landing.
Fantastic looking model ..... shame that it only flies for 2 mins 30sec (if the uncut video is anything to go by)??? Had intended to buy one but flight time is unsurprisingly appalling as would be expected on a single 6s packin a model of this size/weight ..... so will most likely give this a miss 😞
