Hello Rob & Chris, I so enjoyed the fast forwards film with the voice over - made it so interesting! Just to mention, i worked on Vulcan aircraft (engine mechanic) and they was washed ( ontop and below on the outside!!) before being worked upon in the hanger - soapy water, applied by a brush, then "rinsed off" by a fire tender!! Engine sounds great!! Best wishes from Lincolnshire.
The Voiceover with the timelapse is a great improvement. I’m sure it’s more work for you Rob but it’s well worth it for the layman. Best of luck with all the projects.
Hi guy's another superb and informative video. Can't wait to see the third and final one on this vehicle and Rob to crunch the numbers. Credit to phoenix who perform great repairs on these engines too.Well done to all.
What a result lads sounds sweet as a nut, well done Phoenix another quality job, loving the voice over just adds a better insight to what's happening on timelapse 👏👏
Cracking job guys, what a great rebuild by Phoenix Engineering. Good valet inside and someone will be very happy! Enjoy the rest of your long weekend guys...
Great video as always… been watching since 2019. When my missus hit a deer last week I wore one of your hoodies as I replaced the headlight and “readjusted” some of the bodywork, I’m a complete amateur but it inspired me to fix it 😂 Ignore the crappy comments, your videos were one of main highlights throughout the lockdowns and I continue to look forward to what you’ve been up to every Wednesday and Saturday
I like it when a plan comes together. It doesn't matter how many engines people do, you include of course, it is so satisfying when it fires up and first time even better! Once the smoke has burnt off she will be as good as new and of course it has a new clutch. Great video Rob and Chris even though you said it was a bit shorter. 👍👍
Really like the new added voice over on the videos during the time-lapse much better then just music Cudos to the engine builder he knows his stuff on those motors and once again you and Chris smashed it as usual
thankyou gentlemen this really has been an entertaining and very interesting project,, brilliant voice over Rob ive found it to be very suitable for the time lapse segments,, keep safe and have a great weekend.looking forward to the next one,,👍👍
I love these quick snappy vids. When channels compress a lot of content into say 10mins or so, it makes for serious entertainment. If you're not hooked in the first few minutes the rest is a waste of time. But once hooked, the channel has to deliver which you guys did in spades. Loved the drive after to show the work.
Loving the voice over in the video . Rob & chris you have hit the jackpot . The voiceover is so brilliant explaining what your both doing i have to say one of my favourite videos . Keep them coming guys
Cracking job, would make a great camper conversion. Good to see fantastic supplier of brand new second hand engines, sounded sweet as a nut and should last for years
Hello Rob and Chris, back from India, watching your latest video. Impressive work again and another vehicle saved. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
This one went just the way that you like them to go, good diagnosis, sound fix by the specialist and almost ready for the road again. Now it sounds great, a great clean-up, and it will be ready for the road in someone else's hands again. That is the way the business like them.
Great to see it up and running again! They always said that the Rover K series petrol engines were unreliable, but it looks like those type of Ford Diesel engines as just as bad if not worse! Never mind; it gives Phoenix plenty of work!
To be fair the engines are solid. What happened here was an injector failed and the owner chose to ignore it. There would have been warning signs something was amiss long before the piston broke.
Nice to hear you've greased your shaft Rob , rude boy , tch tch tch , yet again the boys have smashed it , great start to my Saturday late shift have a fab weekend ladz
Both of us love watching what you do, Amazed at some of your jobs you've done...like how can you possibly repair that...Great work regards from Paul and Christine in South Lincs
Well done guys as ever great work by you both and by phoenix on the engine and that transit will live on it sounded fabulous I have driven quite a few of those and they are great vans and that one being properly sorted will be a great buy Daniel
I imagine this van will clean up well and readily find a new home. Well done, experience, contacts and teamwork make the ideal recipe for success. Have a great weekend.
Hello Rob and Chris, awesome work on the transit van,yes the size of it is huge lol,it does sound nice ticking over.a bit finicky to put in but sorted now.😀.
Brilliant looks great remember the smoke mine was doing when had the engine rebuilt was horrendous but think mine was to do with dpf rather than the engine itself well done guys glad to see it running under its own steam 👊🏻👊🏻
Rob, i used to install/ remove print machines so know what you mean by grease rtc. I used to soak my work clothes in a bucket of washing soda for a day, gets most of crap out and not in the wifes washing machine. Give it a try👍
Hi boys , I’m no Ford mechanic but seen a few Vauxhall s And on the vx’s you need to program injectors. As these fords are prone to injectors. Code on new injector
That transit sounds like a new electric one it’s running that well a1 ,credit to the engine builder and you 2 obviously I love me mechanically strong and well maintained transit , transits av the hardest life out of make vans fact
It's a BIG van. I know this because Rob told us so!!!! Lovely video guys. This should go well in the man and a van category or light removals. I do like this format of video, it's much more relaxing to watch. However I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms due to the total lack of Robwaffle. Cheers, Bob
You guys are the dream team for engine swaps 👍🏻 loved the banter from chris saying watch the first video backwards for the engine rebuild, had me chuckling 😂😂 another one done and hopefully sold quickly 🙂
Love the video as always, I know it was short but a lot of content. That van is going to be a great money maker with a super strong motor ready to go. Hope to see the numbers next video, think it will clean up nice. Where can we get the SRUK mugs guys?
I owe you a massive thank you. I would have never have known about the sacrificial rockers and camshaft on the Peugeot/Citroen/Ford 1.5/1.6 Diesel engines. I had a timing belt let go on a 2018 Transit Connect. After replacing the camshaft, rockers and lifters (and belt) it runs sweet as a nut. Didn't have to split the engine! Never trust handwritten timing belt replacement notes in service history 😠. Keep up the great work guys!!
Great result there guys sounds great whenever anyone changes an engine in a vehicle do they or should they amend the engine number on the logbook or do they tend not to worry about it
Morning guys, Sounds spot on, we’ll done 👍🏼 Just in process of doing the same with my Transit, only difference fwd eco blue, injectors 3&4 did my engine in… Got a brand new ford zero miles engine, turbo and clutch to go in… Just haven’t the old one totally out yet 🤦🏻♂️
The voiceovers on the time lapse is fantastic, makes a proper job, professional and not amaturish.
" If you want to see the engine put back together, watch the first video in reverse ". Genius. 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
If Haynes Manuals were a video then they'd say this
Brilliant video as always lads! What's the Volvo in the background?? Or have I missed a video 🤔
@Kevin Holt You've missed a video, the black Volvo has been featured a while back
I was laughing out loud with that one
That’s a Chris Classic ‘watch the video backwards’ and its up there with the ‘brand new second hand battery’
One of a few channels I watch fully to the end. Main reason being Chris is a wizard and Rob is the hustler
I’ve said it many times before this is the best salvage rebuild channel on RUclips. Well done rob and Chris two seriously decent blokes 👌🏻
Absolutely world class presentation by Rob, can't say enough to endorse his attention to detail 👏 👍 😀 👌
Rob's narration during the timelapse is good - more of that please. 📢👍
After all the years of fresh start ups, you still sound overjoyed that it runs. Love it.

Never gets old firing one up after a major engine repair, Superb Channel Guys.
Hi guy's another superb and informative video. Can't wait to see the third and final one on this vehicle and Rob to crunch the numbers. Credit to phoenix who perform great repairs on these engines too.Well done to all.
Only one word worth saying EXCELLENT
What a result lads sounds sweet as a nut, well done Phoenix another quality job, loving the voice over just adds a better insight to what's happening on timelapse 👏👏
Cracking job guys, what a great rebuild by Phoenix Engineering. Good valet inside and someone will be very happy! Enjoy the rest of your long weekend guys...
Between the mics and the voice-over you've taken yourselves to another level. Keep up the graft guys, loving the work your doing.

A little grease round the shaft? You dirty buggers😂. Keep up the good work👍
Then it gets BLOWN off 🎉🎉
Aye but what a lovely feeling when you hear that stubborn old engine start up looking and sounding sweet as a nut - oh yes 👏
Really like the new added voice over on the videos during the time-lapse much better then just music
Cudos to the engine builder he knows his stuff on those motors and once again you and Chris smashed it as usual
Lovely jubilee, quick and no messing about!👍👍👍

Excellent work, that engine builder is a treasure
Great content and shows how easy it can be to recon an engine with the right specialist, and give the van another lease of life👍🇬🇧😎
What a great video! Who would have figured you would have gotten this far so soon!!
Cracking . Liking the new voice-over addition. Well done guys. Another one saved 👍
Great little fix this one. Really enjoying the voice overs recently, especially on the time lapse sections 😀👍

Top of the drivers door does not look like it fits properly. Great video as always guys.
Nice one guys ,great to see a van go back on the road.u doing good on the voice over rob.
Great to see it up and running again! They always said that the Rover K series petrol engines were unreliable, but it looks like those type of Ford Diesel engines as just as bad if not worse!

Hello Rob and Chris, awesome work on the transit van,yes the size of it is huge lol,it does sound nice ticking over.a bit finicky to put in but sorted now.😀.
Brilliant video, you two. You make putting in a brand new second hand engine easy, which it isn’t. Rob, the voice over is a touch 👍

Great work, as always guys! Here’s to a finished van and a nice profit.
Absolutely fantastic effort guys. Looks a rear van
Thorough and proper work as we have come to expect. Thanks Chris and Rob. The voice over work is excellent BTW.
Lovely job Rob and Chris!
What I love is their near restoration-level attention to detail - even on a flipppin' work van. Diamonds.
Top work as always gents, did you have to code in the new diesel injector?
Nice one guys. Phoenix has supplied a great replacement unit. Now you need to find an engine for the Volvo.
We don’t bud lol 👍
It's a BIG van. I know this because Rob told us so!!!! Lovely video guys. This should go well in the man and a van category or light removals. I do like this format of video, it's much more relaxing to watch. However I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms due to the total lack of Robwaffle.

Superb once again lads ,love the time lapse/voice over bit's as well this is looking like a chicken dinner winner
Hi I have seen a few of your videos now can you tell me what diagnostic scanner you guys use
You guys are the dream team for engine swaps 👍🏻 loved the banter from chris saying watch the first video backwards for the engine rebuild, had me chuckling 😂😂 another one done and hopefully sold quickly 🙂

Good to hear bud 👌drop the sump and clean it out 👍
I like the way you’ve started talking over the time lapse. 👍🏻
Thanks for cleaning the Transit engine bay, congrats to Phoenix, Rob do you normally plug the exhaust with a rag before water blasting ?
No bud I just stay away from it 👍
Great result there guys sounds great whenever anyone changes an engine in a vehicle do they or should they amend the engine number on the logbook or do they tend not to worry about it
No one worries anymore 👍
Amazing quick job guys, hopefully you won't be to cheap as normal on this one🙂👍
Morning guys,
Sounds spot on, we’ll done 👍🏼
Just in process of doing the same with my Transit, only difference fwd eco blue, injectors 3&4 did my engine in… Got a brand new ford zero miles engine, turbo and clutch to go in… Just haven’t the old one totally out yet 🤦🏻♂️
