    Thanks for posting - I dig the Tc Helicon over the Boss VE-20 and Antares Auto-Tune

    Be great to see comparison between the TC helicon to the Boss VE-500, not just auto tune, but effects in general, specially the harmonies. Anyone have any experience?

    great review ,buskers need battery operated .can use a battery pack sometimes

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I agree. With technology nowadays, easiest way is keep a portable 200-400watt lithium mobile battery in your repertoire of sintruments and gear.
      Many buskers fail because they do not use technology to their advantage or are not loud enough. Best of luck!

    I am not sure which is better sort of a toss up, I think the boss pedal looks more resilient to wear and tear

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  4 года назад

      Perhaps. As far as the AutoTune/Pitch Correction effect.. they are very similar for some presets like Electric and PoP are almost identical.. maybe the TC Helicon is a little smoother

    • @andycarrillo48
      @andycarrillo48 4 года назад

      Which sounds better for expression though ??? Like if I wanted to go nuts and hit some crazy ass notes would you want the electric pitch or the pop hardtune?

    • @andycarrillo48
      @andycarrillo48 4 года назад

      I actually like the electric pitch more it sounds better and the pop hard tune sounds like it flattens you’re expression is reminds me of auto tune pro or Antares the autotune isn’t for me even though I use it rn.

  • @andycarrillo48
    @andycarrillo48 4 года назад +2

    Do you know any new models of either tc or boss products that have electric auto-pitch ?

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  4 года назад

      What do u mean by "electric" auto pitch ? Like robotic sound effect?

    • @andycarrillo48
      @andycarrillo48 4 года назад +1

      @@newcastlemusicstudios on the ve 20 it said electric for a autotune type

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  4 года назад +1

      Oh yah3.. I get the two mixed up. Yes the electric sounds robotic. The TC Helicon Voicelive Play has a few versions of that. It has Robot and Drone.... Both sound very electronic.

    • @andycarrillo48
      @andycarrillo48 4 года назад +2

      Literally ordered boss ve 500 a day ago for the electronic autopitch feature. I own autotunepro but I don’t sing like that so hopefully it enhances my voice even more.

    VE-20 has latency in the pitch correct. Does TC Helicon VoiceLive have too?

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  4 года назад

      Latency? No. Neither of mine have any latency. If you are having latency issues, or hear an Echo, check your setting for Delay, Reverb, echo etc. You can also use the headphone jack to check n see if it is your Boss VE20 Unit or whatever you are sending it through like an interface

    • @qcgarcia
      @qcgarcia Год назад

      latency of , typically, 5 ms is inherent for pitch correction. you need a certain number of samples to compute pitch, otherwise you'll be defying the laws of physics/math.

    Hello. Do you know if can i adjust the volume presets one by one?

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  3 года назад

      Yes, you can adjust Presets on both units. I have a video called Make your Own preset for the Boss VE20. But you can turn down the Mic Sense on the boss VE20 and save it to lower just volume. Tc helicon is more complicated but similar.

      @@newcastlemusicstudios the mine is a Voicelive Play

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  3 года назад

      Yes u can adjust the volume and or any aspect of the Preset. On the left hand side 3rd button down.. "EFFECTS" press that button down. Use the Arrow button to choose which effect you want change, reverb, delay etc. Then pushing BACK button when finished. You can also change setting by pushing on the SETUP BUTTON. THERE YOU CAN CHANGE GLOBAL SETTINGS, LIKE microphone volume etc. If you need more help. I can throw up a video tonight or tomorrow explaining itm otherwise check out the my Review * TC Helicon Voicelive Play.. somewhere in there I demo some of that stuff . Not sure of the TIME STAMP
