- Here is the finale of my marathon of "The Price is Right". I have plenty more episodes, though, so fans shouldn't worry. This episode comes from February 4, 1980. Bob Barker hosts.

The young woman who won the car is me!! That was a few years ago... Also it has the classic Mean Joe Green commercial for Coke.
Did you end up keeping the car and if so how long did it last?
Did your husband fly jets?
How was the reliability of the car you won
That must be really awesome to see yourself in something like this.
I was 15yrs old when this aired. Love the price is right but I love the commercials even more. Brings back good memories of living home with my family and no bills.
You’re 6 years old, you feel a little bit off, you’ve got the sniffles, your mom tells you to lay down on the couch and she brings you some hot and tasty chicken soup, you turn on the TV and this show is on. Good times.
These late-70s episodes are such a treat to watch! The production values and contestant attitudes are vastly improved over the more awkward early-70s episodes, while still providing a fun glimpse at pricing-game past.
This was the first day TPIR moved to 11am/10am CT where it remains to this day. CBS had previously aired it at 10:30-11:30am ET with Love of Life at 11:30am. Johnny Olsen now mentions Search For Tomorrow one half hour from now because the Noon/11am timeslot was now designated for local news with Y&R airing from 1-2pm at this time. Later in 1981, Y&R would begin two feeds at Noon/11am CT and 12:30/11:30am CT to accommodate both time zones for Noon newscasts.
The look on Carl's face when they bring the moped out @26:16...LOL
I was born on the day this episode aired 😸
I watched way too much TV as a kid. I remember all these ads. A Sandwich is a Sandwich, but a Manwich is a Meal!!!
And I can't believe they stretched this show into a full hour.
I love the commercials here. Including the legendary Mean Joe Greene coke commercial. Yeah this was about 2 years before I was born, but it is a huge time capsule. So thanks for uploading this, I really do enjoy these.
love the commercials :D
I was just a little over eight months old when this first aired.
19:37. I love Bob Barker!
I was 12 years old when this aired
stereo love seat! Terry saying its beautiful! lmao
Bob knows how to rock a three piece suit back then and a serious one too.
I was 21 yrs old when.this aired.
28:42 - the infamous product from Procter and Gamble. The product worked too well, unintentionally, which caused severe health problems for some women who used it. The FDA released a report on it in the summer of 1980 and it was immediately pulled off the shelves, along with the "two ingredients" mentioned in the commercial never being used in any product in that area again.
They gave away a computer in 1980???
I was getting ready to Graduate,Class of 1980😊
The woman doing the sunlite oil commercial is the lovely beautiful Jo Ann Pflug. Didn't recognize her at first.
This appeared a week or so before Valentine's Day.2/4/1980,to be exact.
I love it. Thanks.
great job by that young lady winning that car
The black dude in the Coke commercial looks like Mean Joe Greene.
That real fur coat at the end is surprising. This must be before Bob Barker went all-out when it comes to animal rights.
At least you get to see Dian Parkinson is something very skimpy BEFORE the fur coat and after the oversized dress.
I love Bob with dark hair :-)
man classic commercials and a great episode
I am watching this in realtime - the current Price is Right is on the same segment of the show as I'm watching!
I feel some type of way with that KFC commercial with me being a black guy.
57:46 - Accident prone Holly does it again. She's not safe even walking, lol
Hope I can find any Jean Nate After Bath Splash commercials.
So many of these products like sugar twin and other food additives advertised have caused cancer
I guess since CBS stations could air Young and the Restless at that time at Noon or 1pm ET, that is why Johnny Olsen says "Stay tuned for Search for Tomorrow one half hour from now on most of these CBS stations." There's no mention of Y&R being next at Noon ET.
+Johnothy Sweat This is a rerun, I believe. Y&R didn't expand to 1-hour until February 4, 1980, and it looks like it had JUST expanded at that point, so this episode re-aired around that time.
+Johnothy Sweat Search for tomorrow had just moved from NBC to CBS.
Nope. Search was on CBS from 1951 until March 1982. They were only on NBC from March 1982-December 1986.

That's right I got my networks messed up thanks.
20:47 I was concerned for the daughter's safety after her bad checkup. Luckily dad walks around with AquaFresh in the box at all times.
57:47 Did Holly have a couple of drinks? 😁
Poor Holly at the end credits...
drew_ng89 And she nearly took Dian down with her the second time....
drew_ng89 I think Bob accidentally stepped on her dress the first time.
14:53 FAMILY FEUD!!!!
Does anyone know how I can get a copy of a show that was taped on October 31, 1978 (second taping)? It aired in Feb or March of 1979. My name was Cinde Robinson at that time when I was called down by none other than Johnny Olson. :)
+Cinde D Was there a fur coat given away in the episode?
I believe there was in my showcase...
Uh-oh. That might make it hard to find because Bob is so ashamed of all the episodes featuring fur coats. I just wish GSN or Buzzr and Bob could come to an agreement where Bob tapes a disclaimer of how he regrets the giving away of fur coats. But Bob is either too proud or arrogant to do that.
Thank you Andrew. I played the Shell Game, 3 chips in front of 4 shells but lost. :( Do you know who to order a copy of this episode from?
To get up on stage I bid $1,200 on a Yashika movie sound camera and projector. The prize package I lost in the Shell Game was kitchen appliances: stove, dishwasher, fridge and I think microwave or trash compacter. I was also the top contestant for that taping because everyone lost their games too.
14:53-----FAMILY FEUD!
+Frank Logan : theme of family feud.
I like Drew Carey, but NOBODY can hold a candle to Bob Barker as a game show host.
+steveb802011 But thanks to bob you will never see episodes like this because he is too proud to admit his mistake when giving away fur coats.
+steveb802011 Bob Barker AMEN!!
No, I don't like Drew Carey's version; I prefer Bob Barker's original when he was younger.
Laurie Maitland Fan Page
That's too bad
, I enjoy the new games they have, like pay the rent, love the rat race
I Agree.
I knew this episode would include animal fur!
I never heard a car company called triumph...nice car I wish they make those cars right now
There goes Holly @ 57:45 mark.
43:20 Look, it's the guy who would voice Mr. Potatohead in a film 39 years later. Life is crazy.
55:29 The phone company actually ran ads encouraging people to make phone calls!
when they called the 3rd contestant I notice she slipped near the stage
And a FUR COAT!!!!!!!!!!!
8:33. Was he saying the stereo love seat was beautiful or Janice?!
I don't know about anyone else, but from going back watching older episodes of T.P.I.R. with a "singnificantly younger" Bob Barker, it seems to me that the suits he wore on the show looked a lot better then that they did in his latter years. I guess when he got old (80 years plus), he didn't care how he looked then.😂😂😂
38:18 "It's the exciting new Citation"! Excuse me? Exciting?
WOW, {54:08} indeed Johnny Oleson! Definitely my fave moment of this episode ;-) Also, how about Bob being so hard on himself on his putting and then making a real ruckus on that shaggy surface. Yeah, it seems uneven, Bob, but in the pros, ya gotta factor in uneven angles and speeds if you wanna score the bird!
And in retrospect, I loved how the winner slightly adjusted her score @52:32 and it proved all the difference. She clearly meant the first figure but thought better for it and won it on that last second correction
What sport is that, broomball? And how long was $1,000 pink?
Amazing episode.
Wonder what was wrong with the putting green set.
anyone knows where the music from the story showcase is coming from?
With commercials
I wasn't even a month old
How much was that last product in hole-in-one?
Triumph TR7 and Chevrolet Citation. Two terrible cars, and I want them both!
My second oldest aunt's 49th birthday!!! :) :) :)
+Ryan Arrowood what is the original tape date for this episode
December 26, 1979 based on my records.
CBS had just said goodbye to Monty Hall and Beat the Clock that Friday, it might've lasted longer if they did't add the ELEBRITY format.
Space age technology
Paul McCartney @ 20:00
Description and title of this video do not match. FYI.
+Travis Doucette (Retrobox) Yes it does.......read the full description.
Holly take a fall.
lmao purina
lol...God awful Pepsi commercials
+Dennis Taylor Then check out 35:27
+James Bonnen classic!!
Around 42:17-42:22 - If you say something like that on the show nowadays, you're likely to get forcibly hauled off by security.
lol floride propaganda
