If I watch one of these vintage episodes, three hours later, I'm still watching.
Bob was so patient with Zoraida, and got so many moments of comedy. Such a fantastic host.
90s is my favourite years.. wish i could go back to that era
Thanks for keeping the commercials in the show. They give an authentic feel to the era in which they were recorded. But most of all, it makes it more fun.
This is from my earliest memories of the show. My grandmother used to watch Family Feud and TPIR on CBS daytime.
I love contestants like Zorinda. People like that make it more fun.
I think I bought Mario Paint for the SNES the week this was aired. I remember I had a cold that week.
The commercials then were so homey and sweet
24:14... I remember watching that episode of Rescue 911!
lol Feldman! my uncle had those old Roggin's Heroes on tape. Feldman cracks me up.
Damn , I was 23 then ,I miss these days
a great episode overall And I love that Family Feud ad at the end. WFRV is the same CBS station I watched TPIR on growing up and still do to this day.
Thank god, I finally found this episode again. Saw this on one of those mass upload TPIR channels about 2 years ago which must have been from your channel. It had what I believe is an extremely rare instance of the IUFB cue at 41:35 played through to the moog and synth section. By the time I went to record it it was private... This cue is exclusively used for IUFB and they never go that long except later on in the 90s. I also love how Rod cuts in briefly (as if he was about to wrap up the IUFB) where it would normally fade out to plug the detergent. Thanks for the reup!
I wanted to see Zoraida win her showcase. She played Bullseye like a champ
I wonder how many won prizes and could not pay the taxes on them.
Awesome upload of TPIR; God Bless You and welcome back, Raarrow!
Here's something interesting: the trip to Switzerland was $8,774 here and then the same on 11/30/92 but on 5/7/93, it was $4,432. One would think it would remain the same or go up in price but it dropped in value by nearly half. Everything aspect of the trips are nearly the same. How did the trip get cheaper by more than 4,000 dollars?
According to The Price is Right Wiki Page, This episode contains one of the last plays of "Lucky Seven" with a 4 digit number, the game would go to 5 digits on April 23, 1993. All of the other pricing games have no changes and are still in the current (2016-2017 season) rotation.
7:29 I heard the thinking music!
here's what aired in primetime:
ABC: Full House (repeat), Home Improvement (repeat), Roseanne (Terms of Estrangement Part 1), Delta (Climb That Mountain), Going to Extremes (Trials and Tribulations)
CBS: Rescue 911 (repeat), Angel Street (Parts 1 and 2)
NBC: Quantam Leap (repeat), Reasonable Doubts (Change of Plans), Dateline NBC
The first year with the current race game timer music: Early Happy Days
Bob switched microphones
the duncan Hines ad had Ashley Johnson (chrissy Seaver from growing pains fame )is in it
Wow I don’t know her name that elderly lady is amazing she is so cute and plays so great like a pro!
7:29-7:31 same music sound effect used in Make your move, Check game, and Cover up
The second episode of Season 21.
Ah, a great classic episode of "The Price is Right" - and with commercials to boot!!! Many thanks for posting this!!! Wasn't 1992 the year in whch both WFRV (Channel 5) and WBAY (Channel 2) swapped affiliate stations? I believe prior to 1992, WFRV was an ABC station and WBAY was a CBS station, if my memory serves me correctly.
R.I.P., Mark Goodson & Rod Roddy. :'(
Those affiliate changes happened in 1995. It was about the same time that WLUK became the Fox station and WGBA became NBC.
Thanks for these!! I hope you can keep uploading. Your updates are GREAT!!
Poor Scott.
Thanks! We need more of 1991-1992 eps! :)
36:09 is the type of products, “Merrie Melodies” style.
Poor Zorida seemed nervous during the Showcase Showdown
Future GSNLive host Fred Roggin, wow.
And, at the time of this episode and to this day, the sportscaster for KNBC's Channel 4 (now NBC 4) News, currently alongside news veterans Chuck Henry, Colleen Williams, and Fritz Coleman.
+Christopher Howell an NBC employee at a CBS show. I guess that's what price is right can do to ya, no matter which network you work for, you just had to attend a show with Bob in there just once!
The Money List host Fred Rogen?
Sports Anchor on CBS?
Tough MYM, only $3000 for the piano?
I would have done what she did too.
Tilex say goodbye 1991 back 1993
Here are the Games:
Make Your Move
Pick-A-Number
Spelling Bee
Race Game
Bullseye
Lucky Seven
To bid one dollar on that showcase was a bit foolish. $16,000 on SC#1 is too close to even think of bidding $1.00. Not sure of her strategy here.
