BEST EPISODE EVER!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
1:50 I have never heard Bob say that in all the years. He always said "the contestant nearest to the actual retail price without going over will win it."
We miss you Bob
At 22:25, Bob receives a ball cap from a contestant.
I remember once, a woman who made it on stage had a ball cap that she made herself for Bob. It was a green ball cap with the TPIR logo on it. She also had one that she made for Rob. It was glittering gold ball cap as Rob always wore those glittery or shiny jackets. Later on in the show, Rob was even seen wearing it.
The current show is nice, but nothing beats the old "version" with Bob Barker. I remember watching this as a kid with my mother. Now it's just the same stuff on repeat. :(
The current version is actually the best!
@@supergamer7473 really, come on
@@supergamer7473 Maybe second best, but this version/era was definitely the best 👌🏻.
I had morning preschool back in the day and I was able to see the showcases when Mom brought me home.
37:25 - Imagine being the stagehand they put in the trailer. They're just sitting in there for minutes, surrounded by inflated beach balls, hearing all sorts of muffled and echoy commotion outside, just watching the door and waiting for Gina to open it... and then BOOM! It's showtime! "Time to start chucking out those beach-balls, Stagehand! Keep it up until the trailer is totally devoid of vinyl spheres! "
It took less than five years to retire four-digit cars during the Dice Game during the 1980s ever since the first five-digit car was offered as the "Deluxe Dice Game", however as of 2021, sub-$20K cars are still offered even though its been a much longer timespan. I suspect that with the latest round of inflation, the days of sub-$20K cars on Dice Game may be over by the next model year. Speaking of which, that reveal almost reminds me a bit of the "broken" Dice Game playing in 1983 where each number would be revealed after it was rolled.
We'll likely see some that start with a 3 more often especially in the Dice Game since they can't go in the 26,667 to 31,111 range.
I love perfect shows!
I don't care who the announcer is, no one can replace the great Johnny Olson.
Right. Johnny Olson was the first announcer, before he died. Rod Roddy was the second announcer.
Then Roddy died second.
Next up was Rich Fields.
And Rich was fired
Now we have George Gray
RIP ⚰🙏🏻 Johnny Olson and Rod Roddy
Rod was the man. He had excitement and energy in that voice. Johnny's voice sounded slurred half the time.
41:19 Holly finally gets her revenge on Bob Barker.
Buy or Sell was One of my Favorite Pricing Games.
Notice 33:50 the wheel did not start on 1.00 before the first spin...
I saw that. Was that from the first SCS?
22:29 THE LAUGH😂
September 15 is my birthday aired a long time ago in 1994
i love bob to this day
I was in boot camp when this aired….
Perfect show all winners on my birthday September 15
A good majority of them yes. I'd say most of my 1993, 1994 and 1997 episodes are. A few are from WRAL-TV and my most recent ones are from CHCH/SUN-TV/OMNI2/CITY-TV in Canada
@Turner Tony Definitely, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself :D
22nd September 1994
Yep! This was in the middle of the OJ Simpson trial.
1994 i was 20 years old 🙂 ✌
The reason I'm asking is because at the time there was a contestant that won $85,403 for the day. (S)he was the second biggest daytime winner at the time.
When Rod Roddy was the announcer; the opening message says 1986-1998: Here it comes! Television most exciting hour of fantastic prizes! 1998-2003: Here it comes! On the Bob Barker studio at CBS in Hollywood! Television most exciting hour of fantastic prizes! But later when Burton Richardson is occasionally PIR's announcer (2001-2003) after Roddy's death all other guest announcers, until Rich Fields arrived, they corrected the opening message: Here it comes! From the Bob Barker studio at CBS in Hollywood! Television's most exciting hour of fantastic prizes! Later since season 38 started the opening message says: Here it comes! From the Bob Barker studio at CBS in Hollywood: It's the Price is Right!
Now CBS has sold their iconic Television City studios. Now the intro is "Here it comes! From the famous Bob Barker Studio in Hollywood, it's The Price Is Right!"
@@rhyancoleman6462 It Should Have Been Here It Comes From The Famous Bob Barker Studio At Television City In Hollywood It's The Price Is Right.
Now The Price Is Right has left its longtime home after 51 years.
36:35 hey wait a minute that's not Dragon's Lair 2
Well in the Buy or Sell Game, there was a lady that won with $1500 on the + side
also, Gena Lee Nolan was on TPIR during the 94/95 Season when Richard Dawson returned to the Feud and Doug Davidson of The Young and the Restless hosted TNPIR and she went on to do Baywatch which was produced by All American Television and later Pearson Television before Fremantlemedia or should I say Dismantlemedia took over
Plus, Janice, Kathleen and Holly along with Rod Roddy will FOREVER be known as the REAL STARS of TPIR
you've never know!
Don't worry, it never hurts to ask. I don't think I have any episodes from 1976. Most of the episodes in my collection are from 1993, 1994 and 1997
+trailblazer91 If this the 3rd show of Season 23, how come there aren't any balloons or decoration celebrating their 23rd Season?
They don't always keep decorations up for the whole week. S20 is the only one I can recall that actually did that
trailblazer91 And they also did it for Seasons 10, 12, 32 and 37, I think.
trailblazer91 I think season 25 was also when they kept the decorations up for the premiere week although I could be wrong you know.
That's Correct. Every episode I have from September 1994 (except for one I think) was from a rerun.
I could do one from CHCH in the near future perhaps. I haven't even gotten around to transfering those episodes onto DVD yet so it may be a while down the road.
cfto also aired tpir in the GTA around in the late afternoon in the late 80s..i.remember seeing the following updates to the series on canadian tv before cbs aired them.....
1.bob's first white haired episode
2.the updated "superball" pattern big wheel panels (first recall seeing them in may or june of 1988 where cbs didn't show them until the new season start in september)
3.the change of the ticket plug from the beginning to the end of the first showcase showdown....
domirules28 Hey, Domi. When did CFTO stop airing TPIR and when did CHCH pick it up? I knew that CFTO use to air Classic Concentration back in the late 80's but did TPIR air right after during that time?
Alexander James-Palmer: i would say it was around 1990 or so when CHCH picked up TPIR and aired it at 11am like CBS affiliates (WROC which had just switched from NBC to CBS affiliation then) and WIVB stateside....the disadvantage of switching TPIR over to CHCH was that if i recall right CHCH wasn't available in huntsville, wiarton, owen sound, and other cottage country locales in the northern reaches of greater toronto....
How long was Gina a model on TPIR, only 1 year?
+Dan Barker Somewhat yes. She made her debut during the model search in Season 22 and was a full time model for Season 23. I believe she left after that season and another model search had begun for Season 24.
Gena Lee Nolin was perhaps best known for her role in the TV series Baywatch for four years from 1995-1999. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gena_Lee_Nolin
oh yes that's right! I've been searching for that episode myself but there doesn't seem to be anyone in the trading circuit who has a copy. I wonder actually how they got the stats and such for her winnings.
Do you have the original airdate of TPIR from October 14, 1993?
Sarah Gutknecht hugged me, in that same year.
Seriously, is this a perfect show?
yes and It's is the 43th time.
None as of right now. I have a few from 1987 and 1989 though.
Something tells me that Roger had a good talk with Bob after that Dice Game playing, as he basically handed the player the win by changing the rules (the numbers are supposed to be revealed AFTER all the dice have been rolled) as there's no way a repeating 1 would be at the end of a car price.
But if the contestant rolls the correct number, then it’s revealed that it’s the number in that position. She could’ve rolled a 1 instead of that 6 for the 4th number and would’ve immediately been told it was correct, then rolling 2 for the last number would’ve still been obviously higher.
She had to ask her husband in the dice game? Cmon nervous or not🤪🤔
33:51 Hey the wheel is not set properly.
Only time the #'s were revealed before the end of Dice Game.
I don't I'm sorry. I have the one from the day before if that's any good to you. Did someone you know appear on the show?
Is this the last perfect show with 4 models in the show?
do you have any episodes from like 1988?
Rod Roddy I wish you could be my teacher
Hey trailblazer91, are all of your episodes of TPIR recorded from WMAZ-TV CBS 13 in Macon, Georgia?
Can u upload the episode of september 19 1994?

I really hate to ask but can you upload 1 season 5 1976 episode of the price is right
I thought her little 'speechless' routine was cute. Wonder what she would've done had she won her way up on stage
trailblazer91 probably would've fainted!
Spelling bee contestant was from uw stout menomonie Wisconsin
So evidently this was re-run on December 19, 1994 according to 17:40-17:49.

So of all the people in line who were waiting in the line, presumably for hours, likely wrapped around the block, they chose May Lou...

Buy Or Sell (win)
Check Game (win)
Dice Game (win)
Pick-A-Pair (win)
That "Kamra" chick looks like a model or aspiring model. Bob Barker is supposedly 6' 1" and she's nearly as tall as him, plus she has a pretty face and nice figure. I'm guessing she's about 5' 11", making her taller than Janice and Dian, and the same height as Holly.
Pretty snooty too
Janice looked very hot in that showcase.
Elizabeth looks kinda cute.
