I have been making indie features and music videos for years - going back to a time when 4k cameras were really only available for major studios or maybe your rich friend with a hundred thousand dollars or so to spend on a camera that everyone wanted to get a picture with on set so they "looked professional" 😂... I shot my first movie on a canon 5d mkii when that was the best an indie filmmaker could get...since then Ive shot on a lot of cameras and been hired to edit a lot...try matching an original Red One camera footage to a canon 7d in post lol...Ive done it...honestly seeing this footage, I am inspired to shoot a feature film using the Canon C70... Having matched so much footage in post over the years between "dslr indie cameras" and "major production cameras" I honestly think once you get to 4k raw with 10 bit etc, I dont think 99.9% of people can tell the difference in your equipment...it comes down to shot composition, lighting, using multi cameras for seamless cuts between angles etc etc to make your footage/films look "big budget professional" vs "indie low budget" ...in fact, I rhink the softness and roll off on this camera looks way more "film-like" than the extra sharp Red Komodo - true cinema film cameras where never that overly sharp...I think I will pick this up for my next feature and/or TV pilot I am shooting and let you know how it goes! Hey man, thank you for such a comment, really appreciate the feedback! For me it's a great camera, love the dynamic range, nd filters and the look it has. The only cheaply made thing on it is a display, but canon just adjusted mine for free.
