I am so glad I found your channel! I am a 20 year old hispanic girl with curly hair. My family all has straight hair so I really did not know how to take care of my hair. For the past 20 years I have had frizzy unkempt hair. Your videos have, I exaggerate not, saved my hair and your tips have helped me get my curls to look healthy! Your voice is so soothing! I love watching your channel to relax at night. :)
WOW! I cannot believe I'm so late in seeing this comment but this really made my day! Thank you SO much for watching me and I'm sooo glad you've found my videos helpful!!!
Another tip to prevent bleeding, use a protein filler prior to applying any type of semi permanent or rinse to the hair that way the color molecules have something to adhere to and when you rinse the hair use cool water and acv to close the cuticle.
In order to get this bright red on black hair...you have to use something to lighten first...or else u get like a rinse effect....I tried numerous times I never got that result until I lighten my hair first....a lot of RUclips's keep saying no bleach ...which I believed but no....u do have to lighten dark hair first
Gorgeous! I have been looking for a long time to find the right colors to dye my natural hair. I tried dying my hair 6 months ago and it was an epic fail...lol. Thank you so much for this video Kenzie
thank you so much for doing this video! my hair right now is a faded version of this and I as looking for the right colors to blend to get my red back popn!
You talked me into trying this product! I purchased the paprika! Your hair is beautiful! Heck, YOU are beautiful! I had never heard of this product...so thank you!
This is perfect. Love this color result. I colored my hair violet and needed tips for coloring my hair a deep red. Love love love this result. Will try adding the red on top of my current bright purple hair hoping to get something similar to your results. We shall see.
Hey! I'm glad you found it helpful, but if you're trying to get the deep red I still suggest applying a color mixture onto your purple hair. If you just apply a red on top as is, it might not work! Let me know how it works!
Its time for my touch up and yes it does wash out...but it took a while. Summer made it wash out faster because the chlorine otherwise I would have had more longevity.
Should I use the same amount as dye for each color you put in the bottle? I know you ran out of purple so I am taking it you didn't add anymore? Just want to make sure I use the right measurements as you did. Thanks a bunch.... Also your hair and hair color is just sooooooo beautuful.....
I’ve never dyed my hair before and was thinking of dying my hair with adore Royal Navy dye (178). I did a lot of research but many people used different methods on natural dark hair using the adore hair dye. Should I use developer with the hair dye or could I just place the dye onto my hair?
hi! I would definitely recommend bleaching or lightening your hair first, if it's a very dark color. This is a semi-permanent dye so basically it will only stain your hair if it's already been lightened, but it will not chemically alter the color of your hair. I also suggest going to a professional if you plan on bleaching your hair because it can be extremely damaging! Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Your channel is great. I love it. I was wondering what shampoos and conditioners do you use when you wash out your dyes and do you sit under the dryer during any of this process? I'm naturally black with a ton of gray and I want to go burgundy or red, but I think you said it's best to lighten the hair first before going red or burgundy. Can you please advise before I go crazy on my hair. Thanks.
thanks so much for the support! I love the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Moisture Shampoo--that's my go-to. But I also like the TGIN sulfate-free shampoo. I stick to sulfate free. As for conditioner, I usually use Aussie Moist but I switch those up way more often than my shampoos. And I don't sit under a dryer when I use my semi-permanent dyes because I don't find it's necessary! Hope this helps!
I don't know if you'll see this. Hopefully you will before tonight. Will be your thoughts on the adorn indigo and adorn eggplant as a mix? These are the two colors I have at home.
Thanks for the video! I saw you didn’t use heat. The back of the bottle said to process with heat For 15mins. Do you think it would make the color last longer?
Hello !! I want to color my hair this exact red color blend it's sooo beautiful. How much of each color did you use to achieve this color blend on your tutorial ? Thank U in Advance hun !!
Hello! I’m a french viewer, and I have some questions. It is possible to use this product, but without discolored hair? (I have blond hair) and how many time this color stay on the hair? thank you for this video and sorry if I made mistakes
Couple questions. 1) did you bleach your hair before you did this or is that how vibrant it actually made your hair? 2) Does the semi permanent get on your skin when you wash or twist your hair?
Hi! All the details on my hair color are in my hair color story video! But I used a series of blonde box dyes to lift my hair to a golden blonde color, and used the semi permanent red on top of that. The red would not have colored my hair if it wasn't already lifted. And no, the color doesn't transfer to my skin. Only during the dye process to maybe about the first week after color re-touch do I experience any staining.
Hey! Check out my color story video. I actually was blonde before so that's why my red is so vibrant. I never would have been able to get it this red if I hadn't lightened it before.
Hello. Just found you're channel. What a great idea. Today I used raging red by Adore. I am hoping it looks nice. I appreciate you're video. Iam going to try mixing colors next time. Ty ty ty. Beautiful curls btw.
I have waited patiently for this vid! Beautiful results & very detailed. I just have 1 question: does your hair feel hard & stripped after co wash & deep condish? Whenever I use color it feels horrible! Dry & very tangled. It takes at least a few days & much moisturizing to make it feel "right". Yours seemed very soft after.
Thank you so much for this question! I forgot to address this in the video but the adore dyes leave my hair feeling GREAT! Very soft and moisturizing and Idk if you can tell but the product is pretty slippery so I can get through my hair easily. My hair feels completely normal after I rinse out the color and deep condition, I think because it's semi-permanent and not harsh like regular dye! Hope this helps and thanks so much for watching!
I noticed that you didn't use Heat I seen on the directions that you were we're supposed to use heat to activate the color. I did it with my hair dryer for 20 minutes and I did magenta I did it twice to get it more drastic so you don't have to use Heat?
Would this work on bleached hair? cause I've bleached it and I was like damn it I should've leave it and dye it with the with crimson mixed with rich eggplant . But now i know next time for sure🤦🏾♀️
question how does that color feel on your natural hair... like did your hair feel brittle or did it feel like the rest of your unexplored hair... I never colored my own hair I always went to the shop. But I wanted to start coloring my own hair and just deciding on what brand is best. and does it rinse out often when u wash your hair because the color that they use at the shop doesn't wash out
I love this I did mine Crimson obsession buy Splat but it fadeing out so I'm going to redo it over in or adore crimson and the purple that you got okay luv 🌺🌼🌷⭐ Shelia grate job 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜👍👍👍👍👍
Hey did u end up dying your roots cuz my roots is black and I have color damage don’t wanna damage it again is it ok if I put it over my permanent hair dye
Great tutorial! I've done red kool aid for the tips of my hair, although it seems no matter how many videos I watch I'm still afraid to use real dye; I have Merida type hair. Any advice? Ik this video is kind of old...
Question first yr hair is awesome , second My hair is red. I have bought the adore Iike a year in a half ago ,never used it because I have been trying others. Is the bottle still good or I throw it away and buy new bottles
i don't think the color would show up vibrant without lightening first. However I was already lightened from blonde box dye. I don't have experience using developer so I would say consult a professional!
Kenzie Kenz ok. same cus my hair is lightened too from dying it honey blonde back in January. i just wanted to see others who have previously did it and see how it turned out when they did dye over the blonde. ty.
Hey I love your channel and looking for.some tips....I dyed my hair purple using Adore Rich Eggplant and i had to bleach it to get desired color and now I want to transition to red hair. Do I need to bleach it again to strip the color???
I think re-bleaching would be too damaging and not worth the risk, personally. If I were you I would let the purple fade out as much as possible. Sulfate shampoos might help strip some extra color and there's a product called Color Oops that I BELIEVE helps remove unwanted color from hair. You could try that and then when the purple is faded enough, just put the red on top! Hope it works! Good luck!
It's fine to blow dry after you rinse the excess color out and style your hair! If your hair isn't bleached or lightened, you won't get a super vibrant color, more like a tint. So if you want the actual color on the bottle, you'll have to lighten your hair first!
Hi. The only way to get a colored dye to really show up on black hair would be to lift the color out of your natural hair in that area with bleach or box dye. I would consult a professional or watch a video of someone lightening their natural hair, or wait until it is safe to go and see a hair stylist (after the quarantine)
Can someone please tell me if Adore is thick enough to stick to short hair on the side of your head? Or is it too watery and will drip off? My sides are shaved pretty close and I can't find a hair dye with natural colors thick enough to stick to them. Any recommendations are appreciated..thanks! 😉
I use the same brand but I sleep in it and raise it out the next day. The color last me a lot longer but I’m covering my grey hair. Plus I put a little conditioner on as well. Just so it’s not drying my hair out. I love the color I use intense red
Tonia Day ? Im natural but I want to put a temporary color in it to my ends only some different for my natural haie. I want something that not going cost me more damage then good. So is this better then the temporary spray kind? that one ( the videos I seen of others) make the hair look dry and not beliveable. Or should I just put color weave in my hair to save myself from future problem.
TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791 I have never used a spray color. So I’m not really sure. I use adore and it’s temporary and only $4.99 at my beauty supply store. I put conditioner in it after I color and deep conditioner as well you know after washing the color out. It last a lot longer after I sleep in it. I wash my hair in warm water and at the end I use cold to lock in the moisture. I do my hair once a week and oil it every few days. I use conditioner more than shampoo. Because color is drying anyway. I’m not sure if this helps. Let me know what you try. Peace love and coconut oil
Tonia Day yesss!!!! Peace Love and coconut oil I love it😅 may I ask what do you use to moisturize your hair with?🤔 I put water, leave in condition and coconut oil in a spray bottle and spray it under my protective style(mostly crochet) is that good enough? What I need to add to seal it in?
TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791 I use grape seed oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil and castor oil. I sit it in hot water and after it has warmed up. I use it not warm as well. I only use a leave in conditioner when I braid my hair to the back.
TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791 When I first when natural I use to wash my hair almost everyday..😂😂🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ but now I can get away with once every two weeks. Or I will put Olive oil in my shampoo. So glad I found adore color cause I was using Shea moisture and that’s$15.00 a box. I needed two boxes cause my head is big.😩😂😂🤣🤣 so for $10 two bottles of adore is the best thing for my greys.🤫🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
thanks for watching! just so you know, unless your hair is a light brown naturally or you've lightened it with bleach or dyes, the color won't show up as vibrant! Good luck!
Yes, semi permanent hair color does fade, and red is notorious for fading and bleeding. You can reduce fading or bleeding by avoiding washing your hair with water that's too hot. Hot water opens the hair cuticle and makes it easier for color to wash out. I only experience actual color bleeding for about a week or so after touching up my color, and then it's fine. It doesn't seem to transfer to my clothing or pillow cases
Hey queen nice video very detailed I wish I watched your video before I waste my money I just dye my hair and it's didn't take the battle say 15 I did 30 minutes ☹️

Another tip to prevent bleeding, use a protein filler prior to applying any type of semi permanent or rinse to the hair that way the color molecules have something to adhere to and when you rinse the hair use cool water and acv to close the cuticle.
Jadè Dunnell what protein filler do you suggest?
Thank you just ordered hair protein and Adore... I already have Apple Cider Vinegar
Is there a specific protein filler I should use?
Why ACV rinse ?

Brittney Jackson mine too and my pillow is now red and anything else my head touches smh
TheBright Zonee LMAOOOO
They already have "lightened" hair but they dont mention that all of the time so it can be a little misleading for beginners.
Yeah i just tried to use adore rinse on my hair, did not work
The hair is on point and that lipstick is everything 😉 I love your look.
Crimson and pink blush are my favorite which give me the red with pink highlights! Your hair is everything
Adore semi permanent hair colour is so amazing and affordable. What a beautiful hair colour!

I want a deeper burgundy so do I use more eggplant than crimson??? What product do you use to deep condition your hair?
Thanks 💓
I don't know if you'll see this. Hopefully you will before tonight. Will be your thoughts on the adorn indigo and adorn eggplant as a mix?

Do you bleach you hair when you dye it? I've wanted to dye my hair red for so long but when ever I try it doesn't end up vivid the way I want it.
Hey! Check out my color story video. I actually was blonde before so that's why my red is so vibrant. I never would have been able to get it this red if I hadn't lightened it before.

Hair looks great. Maybe I missed it but where can I purchase this brand of hair color??
I got mine from Ricky's in NYC! You can probably find it at a beauty supply store like Sally's or online!
Great tutorial! I've done red kool aid for the tips of my hair, although it seems no matter how many videos I watch I'm still afraid to use real dye; I have Merida type hair. Any advice? Ik this video is kind of old...
Is it possible to dye your hair ends whilst it's I plat and curls without loosing it out...cause that's what I want to do
Beautiful 😍 hair and great video hun!!! Thanks for sharing 😘
thank you so much for watching!
This is really cute , I didn't know you could mix different colors like that I was told your hair would turn green 😂
oh wow! I'fe never heard that! lol
Your hair will only turn green if you dye your hair with a blue tinted black on blonde and you use red to take the green out
Is the developer needed with these colors??
Question first yr hair is awesome , second My hair is red. I have bought the adore Iike a year in a half ago ,never used it because I have been trying others. Is the bottle still good or I throw it away and buy new bottles
hey! I believe the bottle should still be fine to use, but double check the bottle or maybe on the adore website! :) Thanks for watching!
The color is really pretty! New Subscriber!
would you recommend using developer on your hair before you dye it red if you have dark hair or can you just dye and the color show up?
i don't think the color would show up vibrant without lightening first. However I was already lightened from blonde box dye. I don't have experience using developer so I would say consult a professional!

I think re-bleaching would be too damaging and not worth the risk, personally. If I were you I would let the purple fade out as much as possible. Sulfate shampoos might help strip some extra color and there's a product called Color Oops that I BELIEVE helps remove unwanted color from hair. What are the color ratios & variations for each color to get that perfect tone that you have.
is it OK to blow dry ? should I follow the directions provided,if I haven't bleached my hair ?
It's fine to blow dry after you rinse the excess color out and style your hair! If your hair isn't bleached or lightened, you won't get a super vibrant color, more like a tint. So if you want the actual color on the bottle, you'll have to lighten your hair first!

Thanks for watching! I say go for it if you really want to!
Omg thank you for making these video I will be dying my natural hair red 😍😍
The box i have says 25 mins total time. Should i leave it in for 1hour to achieve a brighter red?
I'm not a professional, but i would always advise to do what the box says
Hi! My version hair is black and 3c. I had some purple dye and I want to dye the front strips of my hair. How could I make it show up?
Hi. The only way to get a colored dye to really show up on black hair would be to lift the color out of your natural hair in that area with bleach or box dye. I would consult a professional or watch a video of someone lightening their natural hair, or wait until it is safe to go and see a hair stylist (after the quarantine)
Beautiful colour! I’m inspired :)
Didn't catch What product did she use to remove the dye on her face and arms. What was the name of it

I will be trying this today beautiful color
let me know how you like it!
Hey, do you recommend washing your hair before bleaching?
Hey! I don't have experience using straight up bleach on my hair, so I'm afraid I can't answer you!
U didn’t have to use developer?
Can someone please tell me if Adore is thick enough to stick to short hair on the side of your head? Or is it too watery and will drip off? My sides are shaved pretty close and I can't find a hair dye with natural colors thick enough to stick to them. Any recommendations are appreciated..thanks! 😉
It's thick enough

how did you first lift your natural black/brown hair color when you started going red?
Hi! All details are in my hair color story video! Check it out! :)
Does shampooing and rinsing after the dye is put in not make the color wash out even more?
most of the time I don't shampoo right after rinsing out! I'll just use a conditioner

Awesome,I was wondering how to dye my brown natural hair pink
thanks for watching! just so you know, unless your hair is a light brown naturally or you've lightened it with bleach or dyes, the color won't show up as vibrant! Good luck!
How your hair gets so long? Very pretty color
Is it ok to leave the rinse in ur hair and not wash it out?
I wouldn't recommend that! It'll get on everything and stain skin, clothes, etc. It's definitely meant to be washed out!
Was ur hair bleached previously before u added the colour
My hair was previously dyed blonde
i love your hair colour and your skin
thank you! :*
Is semi permanent hair color suppose to bleed when you wet or wash your hair? I have had my hair dyed wirh adore and it fades fast
That's a beautiful red!
Hey queen nice video very detailed I wish I watched your video before I waste my money I just dye my hair and it's didn't take the battle say 15 I did 30 minutes ☹️
What are the shampoo and conditioner you uses
