I don't check out farm machinery, as I have lived in the city for 78 years; but I do check out the new car at dealerships every year. Also, Dougo, there are "Truck Washes" (just like a car wash) at major truck stops on the interstates. 🚜 🚜 🚜 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🚜 🚜 🚜

I bought a used johndeere db90 54 row 20inch spacing planter 3 weeks ago at a dealer inventory reduction auction. We plan on running it with our 9560r . We like it because we can plant corn and soybeans with the same planter . We needed to go bigger because we are farming 5800 acres next year plus custom farming as well . I farm with my father and 2 uncles. It has furrow force electric row clutches pneumatic row cleaners . Its set up for high speed as well . I dont drive through dealerships and window shop but I do go to auctions often and although I don't plan on buying I cannot pass up a nice machine at a decent price. Keep up the good work !

Try a product called SALT-AWAY. It removes salt residue from surfaces. I use it on my 2008 model v-box salt spreader. I’m still on the original drag chain. Clean the equipment up and then just spray it on with a garden sprayer or a pressure washer and leave it. DO NOT RINSE! I swear by this stuff. It’s about $45 a gallon but a gallon goes along way.

I still remember during planting last spring. You were riding on the seed tank on planter and yelling yeeehaw about how much fun it was and how you loved what you were doing.

We use a 9620RX with DB60 on 30” spacing. Center of tracks have gap that lines up on center of rows.
Brought me back to my high school days washing trucks for BioClean Mobile Truckwash in New Brighton Minnesota!

You guys crack me up. Duggo only wanting to spend $150 on a custom spray pipe to wash trucks. 🤣🤣 I love it!
Real nice for a no touch wash. What is that stuff Semi soap? The salt is negatively attracted to the steel. so some is left on. The only way to get completly clean is to brush. Have a wash bucket with a grit guard, to clean the brush while scrubbing, dump it several times. Never let the brush touch the floor. "We do it by hand that's the feature of this car wash!" Workin at the car wash!
Thanks for the video. You have a really nice wash bay. And even heated water. Outstanding. The foam seems like it did a good job and classify good the way you want to. I have used foam before in a car wash to get salt and mud off. Does not match a hand wash job but when time matters the foam is right next too a hand job. The foam I think get under the salt and good old road dirt. Your truck look pretty good I think. And your time and effect was cut down some I bet. We have been using foam now for 15 years on all agri machinery and fleet of trucks, we found out making best job is totally wet job in hand, then foam, leave for 10 minutes, light foam once again and brush all over, wash off with cold pressure washer followed by hot out of pressure washer, doing it this way it rids the surface of all the soap, if you dont rid it off windscreens, when first used, the windscreen would foam up with movement of the wiper blades!! last thing you need, we use about 50 UK gallons every 2 weeks.

Chet try chemx Stars and Stripes foam it’s a 2 step , I use it on my dump truck and it does a great job, also I collect rain water as my supply, when it’s summer it’s 70 plus degrees and most important , spot free .
I also setup a Rainwater collection system for my shop. If you have a 1,000 sq ft roof, a 1/4 inch of Rainwater gives you 660 gallons of water. I have hard well water and low volume. With Rainwater being soft soaps perform much better. Pumps, water heater, and fittings last longer to.
Used to drive thru dealerships all the time with my Dad... miss it...

We cruised the car lots in high school and some things never change. Now we look at the Deere or CaseIH dealers like we did the sports cars and trucks back then. The CAT dealers are fun too.

Hay Dougo and Chet you guys need to put a 45 degree fitting on the end of your washer wand it makes it easier to get under things and around stuff!!! try it you will like it!

Foam cannons are great. Like you said, not a substitute for hand work but a very efficient way to apply soap. After foaming you can either start scrubbing or spray it off.
The truck looked pretty good after the suds cleaning not bad for a quick wash

I use it here in Ireland to foam it the trucks before the main wash covers body and undercarriage

If you wash from the bottom up, it reduces streaking.
I'd use the big doors Dougo, floor scrubber parts aren't cheap.

I was told to never wash road salt off with hot water. The salt dissolves into the water and gets into the nooks and cracks it wouldn't normally reach. Rots it all from the inside.

I pulled a chemical tanker for 10 years, we always used foam to clean our trailers. I personally thought it did a good job & also saved a lot of time.

With your high pressure washer, you'd like a 40° wide nozzle vs the narrow one you're using now. You've got plenty pressure for the wider pattern. Save your time....
You should try some ALUMABRITE.
Spray it on, let it set for a few minutes and rinse it of, the aluminum will look like new. Just follow the manufacturers directions.
FYI, don't get it on the glass on the cab it can etch it. You should wet the windows with water before you start and rinse them quickly if you think you got some on them. It's used quite a bit on tractor trailers and pontoon boats.

Best I’ve seen Chet is.. they have a hard line pressure system but against the wall they have a cable up ahead. Every 20 feet or so there’s a metal ring that rides on the cable so the hose never touches the ground and you can pull it back and forth the length of your washbay kind of like a car wash with the overhead circular metal holder that keeps it from hitting your vehicle but it’s on the wall.
Where I worked we have drive through wash for tractor trailer and garbage trucks
i got a system like that for my car garage, but it washes only under the car.
figured i had to do something because of all the road salt..
big old pipe and old sprayer nozzles, works a charm
If you take those fittings off their is an o-ring inside that quick disconnect that you can change out. I have to do it about once a year at the shop i work at.

A bird bath like the military uses would be nice and handy for drive through truck wash
We used a foaming system to wash our trucks years ago and really loved it. But, here's what the manufacturer told us: (1) before using the form, wash the vehicle by hand, (2) optionally wax it for best results, then (3) wash it again with foam. Then, when you're ready to wash it again, just do the foam wash like you demonstrated in the video. The manufacturer said the foam is designed to electrically charge the dirt particles so that rinsing will separate the dirt from the vehicle. Now, this was many years ago, and I'm sure things have improved, but we used foam exclusively thereafter.
