Definitely looking forward to the reviews! Very excited to finally see these third-party lenses becoming available to Canon RF-S users!

Certain folks that are claiming this is too little too late are the ones not getting the Camera Industry. This is a Genius Move by Canon and I believe Time will prove that. Ever since the Release of the R7/R10, some cropped users has complained that by far the biggest thing lacking was enough lens built for cropped mirrorless. This basically ends that as any kind of real issue. Plus it frees up Canon to do even more cropped bodies that should appeal to most folks.

Reviews: yes please. I'd be particularly interested in comparative reviews of the new Sigma/Tamron lenses against the existing Canon RF-S mount equivalent, e.g. Sigma 18-50 f2.8 vs. Canon RF-S 18-45 f3.5-6.3.

Will Sigma be offering lens mount conversions (eg from EF-M to RF-S)?
How much do they charge for this service?

Sigma can only convert a lens mount if the lens is already produced in that mount. So for example, if you own the Sony mount 10-18mm Contemporary then you’d possibly (it wasn’t mentioned in the press release) be able to switch it to an RF mount. That lens isn’t currently on the list though as it’s quite new.
Lens mount conversion info is on the Sigma UK website here:

the penny has dropped Canon has woken up at last ... too late we all switched to Sony more than 5 years ago & certainly wouldn't be going back

Obviously not the case, as Canon's share of the ILC market has *increased* year-on-year over that period of time; they hold around 50% of the market and aim to increase it.
