You mentioned getting the platinum. How hard was survivor difficulty w/o using vita chambers. The save system makes it a lot easier to be able to load a save if you accidentally die. I'm jw if it was painful or not getting through it. I'm doing it on Medium diff right now to just get all the easier trophies and collection trophies and its not too difficult. I just wonder about survivor.
@quadratusminerva The platinum isn't too difficult to get, especially with saves, but it can be frustrating. Especially if you get overwhelmed. My tips would be to: - Save your game often with backup saves. - Have Telekinesis on hand. It's easily the most versatile and powerful of the Plasmids. Very helpful if you're out of ammo. - Use your environment and traps to your advantage. A Proximity Mine and a stack of explosive barrels will pretty much insta-kill a Big Daddy. - Manage your money and auto-hack tools wisely, but don't horde them either. You can only carry so much (max $500 & 5 Auto-Hacks), so try to keep your about $250-300 & 2-3 Auto-Hacks on hand. If you have more than that, use them. - Keep an eye out for hidden areas. BioShock can be surprisingly vertical in its level design, with hidden makeshift ramps and platforms. If you see a fallen wooden beam, box or pipe that looks like you can jump on, chances are there's a few hidden supplies at the end. Feel free to ask if you need any more help. If it still proves to be too bothersome a challenge, you can also spoof the achievement/trophy by changing difficulty near the end of the game. Keep in mind this only works on certain versions of the game, like the Remastered Version or the Original 360.

Thanks Casey! One thing I strive for in my Master Guides is making it easier to follow and navigate as a player. I think the map is doesn't help all too much and is a bit tedious when the next log can be found simply by walking to it. Especially since that's what the player has to do anyways.

THANK YOU, Just got the trophy. Here's what i learnt, i thought i had all tapes but i missed one in fort frolic called Sullivan - Bump Cullpepper. I was getting worried by reading comments this trophy was glitched but i believe it is not, we just have to be very thorough. @JohnnyBaz85 Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. I had a small list almost ready to help, but it looks like you figured it out. Congrats on getting the Trophy! Only a few Diaries are Buggy: "First Encounter" by Andrew Ryan (found in Farmers Market) and "It's All Grift" by Hector Rodriguez (found in Fort Frolic). But they aren't bugged in the way that makes them not count so much as they don't function how you'd expect.

This is a REALLY helpful video man! Thank you so much! Great to show at the start of every section how many tapes you should have for each section, that was a REAL lifesaver... have had to restart a section a few times before because of some glitches of a tape being gone at a place as something moved it or a corpse that disappeared had a tape. So again, REAL lifesaver to be able to see how many I was supposed to have! 😊😊 Also real nice teleport plasmid edit... has made me gone to 4 different ADAM points thinking it was a specific place to get that one xD

@@lesleybaas1885 Oh man! That sucks. I had a similar thing happen to the body holding an audio diary in Neptune's Bounty. I triggered an explosion and it launched off the upper wharf down to the lower level.
The Diary is all Grift appears after you leave the room with jasmine's dead body. You can still pick it up before (and as the video explains, it's invisible) but you can see it visually after leaving the room.
Bro I'm also missing 1 audio (Welcome to rapture). Is it possible to get all the other audios and load a save in Rapture and get the achievement? If not I'll have to finish the game again for 1 audio :(
@@lucasgodoy2362 Unfortunately that is one of the few miss-able ones that completely robs you of the Achievement. The 2 in "Welcome to Rapture" and 3 in "Rapture Central Control" (So 5 total). If you miss any of these you will have to either reload an earlier save or...restart the game. I don't want to give you false hope, but the Achievements in this game can be buggy. So there could be a chance your idea of reloading a save could work (essentially collecting all Diaries between 2 saves) and glitch the Achievement. I never tried to see if it's possible. However, I know this can work for something like the Power To The People machines and Photography achievements. If it does work, let me know. If not, I suggest completing your first playthrough then starting a New Game on Easy and collect them all the 2nd time around....while also taking your anger on any Splicer and Big Daddy that gets in your way. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Oh gotcha. I appreciate you trying to set things straight. I have a note on the bottom of my faux loading screens/lists at 5:28 and 12:56. Which are the lists for Neptune's Bounty and Smugglers Den. Doesn't hurt to have someone covering my bases just in case though. So thank you. I do plan to address both this issue and another glitch involving the audio diaries in a future video.
Oh man! I hate to disappoint you. Unfortunately you're correct, you can't get the Teleportation Plasmid in the game. What you're seeing is a stylized transition using video editing. A way of both challenging myself as an editor and matching the vibe/aesthetic of whatever game I'm editing. Forewarning: There's another in my Tonic Guide that's even more mind breaking. So heads up.

I just mopped all diaries and even though the in game system shows i have them all, the trophy is not popping. Anyone else have the issue and a solution to it? Cannot state how amazing the video and editing are
Yes, that diary has always been a problem. It's found in the market, however the game doesn't categorize it in right section. Instead of being listed in the Farmer's Market, it will be under the Neptune's Bounty/Smuggler's Hideout section. With that in mind, if you're using the game's menu to keep count of the number of Audio Diaries you've collected there's a good chance you might still be missing one from Neptune's Bounty or Smuggler's Hideout. That's just a guess though. I hope that helps. If not, let me know and I'll see if I can help more. Depending on the version of the game and system you're playing on will cause different situations.
So that diary is miscategorized in the game. Even though the diary itself is found in the Farmer's Market, for some reason the game will list it under the Neptune's Bounty/Smugglers Hideout section in your menu. If you're using your menu as a checklist for the diaries, check that section (Neptune's Bounty) to see if it appears there.
Great video. I really like how you added audio messages for door codes. This game doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Some of the things the Splicers say had me in stitches.
Thanks Emma! Yeah, some of the things the Splicers say is pretty funny. If you haven't looked into it, the Little Sisters say some pretty weird things too.
Unfortunately there's no Chapter Select. There is a level select where you can revisit past levels via the bathysphere but you can't revisit the levels Welcome to Rapture and Rapture Central Control. To get the Audio Logs from those, you will have to start a new game. If you're playing the Original Version (Xbox 360 and PS3) you will have to recollect ALL the Audio Logs again. However if you're playing the Remastered Version, you only need to collect the ones you missed.
@@slyhigh3762 I wish there were, but luckily since you're playing the Remastered Version and it's one of the first Audio Logs, it should only take 15 minutes or so to acquire on New Game Plus. I can't confirm but there's a chance it doesn't even need to be the same save file. The Remastered Version is weird like that. But take that with a grain of salt.

It should be accessible right after completing the main story quest in Arcadia. Once that is done, the door will unlock, allowing you to get the diary.
Two questions for you. How are you going about checking/confirming which diaries you've collected? And what system/version are you playing on? I ask because there's a few diaries that can elude you depending on the scenario.
Depends on the version of the game. If it's the Original version (PS3/Xbox 360) then you will have to collect them all. If it's the Remastered Version then you only need to collect the ones you missed, provided you know which ones you missed.
Press the menu button that brings up the Map and cycle to the "Messages" Tab. There you'll find a list of each level (some of them are combined due to the story). Select the level to review all the audio logs you've acquired. If you don't see it on the list, then you haven't picked it up. Note: Even though listed there, the Audio Diary "First Encounter by Andrew Ryan" DOES NOT appear in the Smuggler's Hideout/Neptune's Bounty level. It's actually found in The Farmer's Market.
If all that is too tedious, you can also follow my movements in the video. It might take a couple minutes but I go to each and every audio diary for each level in real time, so by the end you'll have every audio diary guaranteed. I'd definitely recommend this if you're missing several.
Assuming it's the same playthrough, if you collected any of them and are revisiting the area, you will only have to collect the ones you missed. However, if you missed any from the levels "Welcome to Raptures" and "Rapture Central Control", then you WILL have recollect them in another playthrough or reload a previous save. Let me know if that answered your question.

@@BrassNuggetz There's a chance you might not have to if you're playing the Remastered Version. That version is capable of keeping track of what you collected between saves. But if it crashed and didn't save, you're more than likely going to have to recollect them again. Because it is Fort Frolic, you can always skip it and come back later though. None of the Audio Diaries are missable in that level.

Great to show at the start of every section how many tapes you should have for each section, that was a REAL lifesaver... have had to restart a section a few times before because of some glitches of a tape being gone at a place as something moved it or a corpse that disappeared had a tape. So again, REAL lifesaver to be able to see how many I was supposed to have! 😊😊
Also real nice teleport plasmid edit... has made me gone to 4 different ADAM points thinking it was a specific place to get that one xD

@@Zer0Infinities like for example I had to redo medical bay like 3 times because of not saving before going to Dr.Steinman... and knowing I had to search that body for a tape... shooting through the glass he shot the corpse FIRST and launched it "idk somewhere" xD

@@lesleybaas1885 Oh man! That sucks. I had a similar thing happen to the body holding an audio diary in Neptune's Bounty. I triggered an explosion and it launched off the upper wharf down to the lower level.

The Diary is all Grift appears after you leave the room with jasmine's dead body. You can still pick it up before (and as the video explains, it's invisible) but you can see it visually after leaving the room.

Bro I'm also missing 1 audio (Welcome to rapture). Is it possible to get all the other audios and load a save in Rapture and get the achievement? If not I'll have to finish the game again for 1 audio :(
@@lucasgodoy2362 Unfortunately that is one of the few miss-able ones that completely robs you of the Achievement. The 2 in "Welcome to Rapture" and 3 in "Rapture Central Control" (So 5 total).
If you miss any of these you will have to either reload an earlier save or...restart the game.
I don't want to give you false hope, but the Achievements in this game can be buggy. So there could be a chance your idea of reloading a save could work (essentially collecting all Diaries between 2 saves) and glitch the Achievement. I never tried to see if it's possible. However, I know this can work for something like the Power To The People machines and Photography achievements.
If it does work, let me know. If not, I suggest completing your first playthrough then starting a New Game on Easy and collect them all the 2nd time around....while also taking your anger on any Splicer and Big Daddy that gets in your way.

Oh gotcha. I appreciate you trying to set things straight. I have a note on the bottom of my faux loading screens/lists at 5:28 and 12:56. Which are the lists for Neptune's Bounty and Smugglers Den.

Oh man! I hate to disappoint you. Unfortunately you're correct, you can't get the Teleportation Plasmid in the game.
What you're seeing is a stylized transition using video editing. A way of both challenging myself as an editor and matching the vibe/aesthetic of whatever game I'm editing.

Yes, that diary has always been a problem. It's found in the market, however the game doesn't categorize it in right section. Instead of being listed in the Farmer's Market, it will be under the Neptune's Bounty/Smuggler's Hideout section. With that in mind, if you're using the game's menu to keep count of the number of Audio Diaries you've collected there's a good chance you might still be missing one from Neptune's Bounty or Smuggler's Hideout.
That's just a guess though. I hope that helps. If not, let me know and I'll see if I can help more. Depending on the version of the game and system you're playing on will cause different situations.

So that diary is miscategorized in the game. Even though the diary itself is found in the Farmer's Market, for some reason the game will list it under the Neptune's Bounty/Smugglers Hideout section in your menu. If you're using your menu as a checklist for the diaries, check that section (Neptune's Bounty) to see if it appears there.

I got all the logs but one in the very beginning of the game so I wonder is there like chapter select or do u have to start a new game ???!!
Unfortunately there's no Chapter Select. There is a level select where you can revisit past levels via the bathysphere but you can't revisit the levels Welcome to Rapture and Rapture Central Control. To get the Audio Logs from those, you will have to start a new game.
If you're playing the Original Version (Xbox 360 and PS3) you will have to recollect ALL the Audio Logs again.
However if you're playing the Remastered Version, you only need to collect the ones you missed.

I can't confirm but there's a chance it doesn't even need to be the same save file. The Remastered Version is weird like that. But take that with a grain of salt.

It should be accessible right after completing the main story quest in Arcadia. Once that is done, the door will unlock, allowing you to get the diary.

Depends on the version of the game. If it's the Original version (PS3/Xbox 360) then you will have to collect them all.
If it's the Remastered Version then you only need to collect the ones you missed, provided you know which ones you missed.

Yes. Both the Original and Remaster have the same locations for the Audio Diaries.
Is there a way to see a list of the ones you have? I need 2 but I have no ideas which one I missed.
Press the menu button that brings up the Map and cycle to the "Messages" Tab. There you'll find a list of each level (some of them are combined due to the story). Select the level to review all the audio logs you've acquired. If you don't see it on the list, then you haven't picked it up.
Note: Even though listed there, the Audio Diary "First Encounter by Andrew Ryan" DOES NOT appear in the Smuggler's Hideout/Neptune's Bounty level. It's actually found in The Farmer's Market.
If all that is too tedious, you can also follow my movements in the video. It might take a couple minutes but I go to each and every audio diary for each level in real time, so by the end you'll have every audio diary guaranteed.
I'd definitely recommend this if you're missing several.

Assuming it's the same playthrough, if you collected any of them and are revisiting the area, you will only have to collect the ones you missed. However, if you missed any from the levels "Welcome to Raptures" and "Rapture Central Control", then you WILL have recollect them in another playthrough or reload a previous save. Let me know if that answered your question.
@@Zer0Infinities New game plus, started from beginning and am in Fort Frolic and my game didn't save as I went to Hyhfestus and crashed and I had to start Fort Frolic all over again twice
@@BrassNuggetz There's a chance you might not have to if you're playing the Remastered Version. That version is capable of keeping track of what you collected between saves. But if it crashed and didn't save, you're more than likely going to have to recollect them again. Because it is Fort Frolic, you can always skip it and come back later though. None of the Audio Diaries are missable in that level.
