- The recent update has brought a lot of balance changes to the game. Most of the top tiers have been nerfed whilst some of the lowtiers have been buffed. One if those being Leroy Smith who is set to receive a ton of changes that will definitely make the character stronger! The question remains, is Leroy now broken

He is Far from broken mate people just need time to adjust to his play style and doing a perfect parry is hard and needs perfect timing yes I want to be rewarded for taking the risk to try and perfect parry its only fair

I was too excited, but what is still missing is his mids. Instead of perfect parry damage and the oki, they should have brought back 3 frame parry. And all the high chains before heat engage and b3 which is also a high is getting ducked and punished. I don't know, feels better but not there quite yet.

I've always said that the nerf to his ff1+2 from T7 hit him hard. He doesn't have a good strong mid check.

They over buff him that anti sidestep is +9 WTF, plus those gatling punches are jail frames you can't duck. So you need to catch it, if you fight back you lose
@@erjohn5404 as a Leroy main who’s been suffering for months. I don’t see no problems lol. He’s still slow and has lots of negative frames tho so he’s balanced.

@@Cthuesday that's a skill issue I'm a kazuya main and who has only classic mishima playstyle and has absolutely nothing but that but I made it to tekken emperor without screaming on bandais ears please buff. They made leeroy like that on release cause they know if they made him really strong chip damage will be broken.
Technically he’s not FULLY back. And by “fully” back, I mean that back in T7, Leroy was able to parry Rage Arts. Here in T8, they nerfed that.

Other characters have weapons, guns, teleporte, electric, and other arsenals. Leroy needs his parry and rapid fist. Everyone just want their character to have the advantage over Leroy. A brother can never have nothing without someone one complaining. ✊🏾🙌🏾🧘🏾♂️🔥🦸🏾♂️💜

Maybe it is because I main leroy, but they buffed what already was decent (except for his old heat), but they do nothing with his main weakness. Everything you need to know, is just duck and sidestep him, and this didn't change with patchnotes, yeah he now can be god of high attacks and god of cheap damage, but does this really matter when hits miss the target. Yeah on low ranks when people don't know how to counter him, it is disgusting, but from bushin (in my opinion), these buffs don't give him so much as a lot of people saying

People will say leroy is op. But i feel there is clear weakness to leroys game. One is mids, he has barely any good mids anymore and the other is poking. I feel hell get a few nerfs the back 2 parry might get a scaled follow up or the follow up is removed, ss 1+2 will be different hermit back 3 might not be just counter hit.

No way his broken his b3 is still a 22 frame move even with improved plus frames. If they aren't spamming strings good luck getting parries consistently. His side step 1+2 is pretty good thou. Facing characters like Devil jin is still a nightmare

He isn't broken. Parries have great and insane damage yes. But u have to take note that the parries WON'T always hit. U have to have great timing to parry attacks in this game esp the perfect parry so w the risk/reward ratio the damage is kinda justified. The chip damage pressure is definitely stronger though. So I think the more critical buff is the chip damage/pressure.

He's not op. The only thing id change is HRM 1+2 from -2 to -6. But everything else seems fair. He finally has a reason to use his main tools chain punch and parry and has an identity again
