- Raven is one of if not the coolest character on the Tekken 8 roster. However, his usage & popularity numbers are really bad which really does not make sense. He is a relatively strong character that has one of the scariest mixups in the game however, he is also a very difficult character to play and master as well. It's safe to say that Raven needs some love for sure.

Having trouble opening people up unless I grab and even then I gotta hide it really well his lows are just too risky for me at times
He is hellaa risky
Especially in a game where one launch can take away like 70% of your health

Sonic x soul has some nice toutorials on Raven. He is difficult to use but if they buff him they need to nerf other stuff. He is more of a. Mental frame data character than a literal pressure character like Howrang.

what makes raven heat ok is that he has a pretty good mixup in his crouch dash/ while rising. you can down forward 3+4 or rise with 3, 2. both replenish heat if they hit and 3,2 at very least give some good chip with mind games. in my opinion raven has been bottom 10. if you lose to raven it's because you need to calm down and look at what he is doing. if he is parrying to escape you can bait it or at the very least throw in some grabs. if he is throwing out shadow alot. there is a good chance you're not punishing them correctly. they are all -14. uf 3+4 4 can be low parried after he sees that he might start mixing it up with 3+4 but he will lose the combo on it hit punishable on block. if a he start crouch dashing alot. throw out some safe pokes to make him earn it. he doesn't have electric so it way easier to challenge his crouch dash. the only thing this character excels in is shutting down sidesteps.
wow.. i just check it. so the shadow clone was buff when in heat. normal -14 heat -3. i never use the clone couse i think it was risky.
i went with poke heavy move at range 0 to -6 on block, learn it from a good jack 8 player. the plus frame on block is a bonus for me.
what i really want the developer need to find a way to balance between character that "have a lot a move that is jailing" vs "less move and its not jailing"
8:47 fc df3 is -9, d d 3 is -15, and I don't understand why d d 3 is -15 the only thing that move has good is the range, so I just want to understand why is that move -15
