I remember seeing this commercial on TV many years ago, and enjoying it and the other ones in the series, although I never really knew what "ACTION" was.
God I miss the early Seventies. What the hell I wouldn't do to go back in a time machine and just film or animate spots for the Ad Council day in day out! What a gig that must have been!
A, we're the action core C, we contribute more T is for the teamwork of our crew I, our ideals are high O, oughtn't you apply N means it's now that we need you A! C! T! I! We can go on all day! O! N! Here's why! Volunteers are needed right away!
I just learned that the lady shown in this PSA will now be called Jane while the other lady will be called Grace. I actually found their original names to be a little weird anyways.
My aunt used to sing this to me voices and all when I was growing up, and it NEVER failed to get a laugh out of me.

Me Too!
Absolutely hilarious. Close to 5 decades have passed since I've last seen it, but I've never forgotten it.
This PSA won a Golden Spike award in 1974!

@@Cydonia2020 Bob Flannigan, who sang the high part with the Four Freshmen.
I remember another one of these commercials where the BC turtle crawled under a rock and was struck by lightning.

I remember one in the series where everyone was yelling, "GROG!"
I wonder if Jimmy Weldon was one of the animated voices.
I haven’t seen that in over 45 years. Still hilarious!
Produced 1973, but a later reissue-the end depicts the 1974 "Ad Council" logo. (In 1973, the "Circle a" logo was still in use.)
This jingle going through my head today. Had to RUclips it....... whaat?
ACTION known as The Peace Corps
Is the woman's voice Mrs. Miller?
Abe Levitow.
And is that Donald Sutherland?
This is a rather nice produced PSA with a nice jingle. Like it a lot.
BTW is it just me or does that caveman at 0:06 sound like Lorenzo Music
A, You're Adorable.
B, you're so beautiful.
I've never been able to figure out what "I" is -- sounds like she's saying "I, our indoos are high"
"I, our ideals are high.."
Where in the world is the cute chick ???
