Literally would have taken another flight or two to fail. I've seen major structural damage that wasn't repaired correctly and a whole bunch of other things that made my jaw drop.

I had friends who had Chiselers' with that motor; the thing would always turn over, start & run but the rest of the vehicle would completely fall apart long before that engine died. Let's not forget the fine electrical system with the ultra reliable fusible links & the ceramic capacitor mounted on the firewall that would fail at the worst possible time. All Chrysler products should have come from the factory equipped with a case of them and a 9/16 nut driver.

The zip ties holding the brake caliper to the control arm is the best one! What a genius! The vehicle with the lower rear suspension held together with a bungee cord is next!
The part from the Dodge's oil pan that the tech couldn't ID was the remains of the hydraulic actuator that adjusts detonation knock, or the timing tensioner (some damned how). I've been blessed with both in oil pan at different times. 😅

When I was a mechanic, and we noticed vehicle frames like the ones in these videos, we would call the DOT (Government Dept. of Transport) and have an inspector come out for a look. A lot of times, they'd rip the plates off of the vehicle while still on the hoist.
We didn't care if the customer said it was ok. It was all the other drivers, and family members on the road that could get killed because of stupidity that concerned us!
Nope never seen this also don’t live in the rust belt so idk lol
Depends on what state and their laws. I've tried to do that on a car with no brakes but my state allowed it to leave. I was so mad that it drove out like it did. Put his child's life and everyone else's life's in danger.
@@hotpackjay bear in mind, just because you don't live in the rust belt, doesn't mean your car or the cars around you haven't, always good to inspect a used car regardless of how ideal your local conditions might seem
That poor squirrel. All that work - its going to be a tough winter.
That alarm sounds like a bad video game.
Have you ever considered telling the customers to take the bus!
28:26 This is why I just keep fixing my old Jetta.
Some of this is pretty scary. But I saw some even scarier things when I worked major overhaul on cargo planes that operated in third world countries. I fixed hinges on an access door that was about to blow out because someone thought it would be OK to put a metric automotive bolt in a hole meant for an SAE aircraft bolt. Literally would have taken another flight or two to fail. I've seen major structural damage that wasn't repaired correctly and a whole bunch of other things that made my jaw drop.
Some of these mechanics should be doing stand-up at a club, they are funny as hell.
people really gotta start undersealing their vehicles around the rust belt, it just destroys everything, several coats too
@15:29 I aint gonna lie : whole bunch of exhaust putty , chain , cut CO2 sensor, there is no wiiires , Toyoootaaa, a 90 degree angle here, goes into a 45 , they are on to the chimney shit… I don’t even understand this I mean how is it not leaking out ? up and over the crossmember then we come over here to the Chryslerrr. 😂😂😂😂
Holy batman, I NEVER imagined someone could literally break a crank shaft.😬
If you think that's bad, wait till you see an engine throw a Main Cap
It's more common than you'd expect.
I did with my second vehicle. A 6 cylinder Chevy truck. Broke the crank going up the bridge in Surfside Texas back in highschool in '66.
Every time I see these videos, I am happy that here in Europe, we have annual or bi-annual inspections of all cars, no matter how old. 😅
Some states still have inspections, but for the most part no. Smog checks in most, and money. Money solves all mechanical problems haha
Nope; not in all of Europe. In Belgium, without tow ball, you only need inspection from the 5th year onwards…
@@fendalynn6604 Yeah, from 4 years also many places, but problem is not 0-5 year old cars, but old junk that is never maintained or inspected. ;)
After owning only 1 Chrysler product in my 50 years of driving I can safely say with impunity that ANY Mopar, Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Imperial or other branded product with the Pentastar(including the Mitsubishi's they sold as their own cars) is a piece of junk with the exception of the Slant 6 engine.
Mechanics should have the right to impound dangerous cars like some of these, I seriously never thought some of these were possible, Loolz!
These compilations often serve as a mix of entertainment and educational content, showcasing the diversity of problems faced in the automotive repair industry.
amazing how many times I can say OH NO! out loud on this channel!
"client says, its making a lot of noise, it goes PTAKATAKATAKATAKATAKATAKATAKATAKA"
28:51 I found out that my 2019 Silverado will not do remote start with the hood open. Smart feature.
7:45 I REMEMBER THAT ONE !! we just got that car back from the dealership after a engine light and had gotten its oil change there and i drove it back, engine got very hot as i pulled into enterprise, i parked it and everyone saw a line of oil from where i drove so we had to get it towed to a different service provider to get the problem fixed
It’s amazing some these folks made it through the birth canal even.
@ 18:13 " something is very wrong", with a dodge, imagine that.
The zip ties holding the brake caliper to the control arm is the best one! What a genius! The vehicle with the lower rear suspension held together with a bungee cord is next!
As a person who isn't a mechanic and sees all these clips, I'm seriously worried about the moron drivers nowadays
I like a mechanic with a sense of humor😂😂😂
The part from the Dodge's oil pan that the tech couldn't ID was the remains of the hydraulic actuator that adjusts detonation knock, or the timing tensioner (some damned how). I've been blessed with both in oil pan at different times. 😅
I used to think the cars that appeared on 'Pimp my ride' were brought in from junk yards just for the show. After watching this and several other videos I am not so sure. Why would you ride in these death traps and think it's ok?
Basic rule of thumb, change the oil every 5 thousand miles, every oil change, change your filters ( air filter also) , rotate your tires. A good mechanic will do a thorough inspection of your vehicle while doing the job. My mechanic ( Christian Brothers Automotive) they take a picture of everything while they are doing it and show it to you during their work).
Its honestly SAD at how many people know SO LITTLE about how cars work. I mean by the time i was 17 i had taken my 1986 Trans-am COMPLETELY APART and put it back together. I took out the engine, transmission, fly wheel, steering column, EVERYTHING and put it back. I knew that car like the back of my hand.
3 people you should never lie to: the cops, your doctor, or your mechanic.
always lie to your doctor, they like it 😆
Make it 4: the IT guy
It's your accountant, your doctor, and your mechanic.
@@maxpulido nah the accountant doesn't need to know anything you don't want them to /s
I feel most people don't lie... they just honestly don't know and don't keep track...
Anytime a customer asks for an alignment you KNOW you’re in for a can of worms.
16:10 thats what you call a "Dodge-podge" of vehicle parts and accessories.
i love watching these videos
34:09 I would’ve told that customer to go home, remove all of the trash from the vehicle, then bring it back.
That car alarm gonna make the best race hits of all time
I love this channel content!
The lube tech forgot to put the drain plug back on why did he restart the car to move it back in the bay? Maybe push it in neutral?
That poor truck , same thing !! Push it that motor start and go was just horrific on every part !
I watch these videos to make me feel better about my work on my vehicles 😂
Lol😂....the old engine start button on the key fob....all seems very flash till something like this happens....very dangerous, should have a safety feature where it can't be pressed in the pocket!...only really usefull for making a quick get-away after a crime🤷🤣🙄
I ****ing love this channel
7:07 Dudes car has intercepted alien communication 👽
1st contact!
Non-mechanic here... what are the metal bits at 3:25? im pretty sure they dont belong there... but where did they come from?
pause at 101:55. That is what all of those pieces are supposed to look like
As a mechanic I couldn't replicate any of these if I wanted to.
"Customer states "This is a car" -I disagree."
Drove in in a jeep
From the perspective of a lifelong Californian, it's crazy the way cars are just absolutely ravaged by shitty weather and everything that comes with it. Some of the cars in this video are rusted out piles of garbage and they're not even ten years old.
7:21 ALMOST sounded like "SOS" at first. "HELP ME... PLEASE SOMEBODY!" lol
man, that exhaust ripping apart ( 5:57 ) , and the car alarm ( 6:58 ), i laughed hard ... thanks
How many people actually die through no fault of their own because of such junk cars? I don't care about the drivers of such junk cars, they get the Darwin Award.
Love that people still listen to Scotty doesn’t know
I do light construction. I'd like to get a call to some of these mechanics' houses when the "homeowner states..." but while I'm thinking "why are you surprised that there's $90,000 damage after you ignored a roof leak for three years, wtf did you expect? It kills me that the main focus of these videos is them laughing at their customers' behind their backs.
1:37 changed out a steering gear on a VW T5 today, the "oil" that came out when loosening the lines looked identically...like water, no oily characteristics at all xD
He hit a curb because he was driving a Rustang. They're notorious for hitting curbs and crowds of people. 😆
Have you ever had a customer scream at you "YOU JUST DID THAT TO MY CAR!!!!"
That Tacoma sounds like it's auditioning for a drum line
I love the soothing music in the background ; )
Second lt badger that ticking sound on a Lexus is a direct injection making that clicking sound.
Nothing is wrong with it.
