acetone, does damage the finish tbh, I much prefer using very fine grit sandpaper or a classic white rubber actually works great with some elbow grease
My local toy store has these figures I see when I'm looking for the sonic figures and I hope that they make hans moleman so I can put him with my sonic figures and only refer to him as "Hans the Moleman"
List of wild takes in this video: *"Hit and run was bad" *"Lisa is the best simpson" "*why does a GROUNDSkeeper have a shovel?" *"Mr. Burns and Moe are my good boys"
People are saying that acetone will melt the plastic, but actually it may not. It depends on the plastic. If they’re made of ABS, then yes absolutely it will. If, more likely, they’re made of Polypropylene aka PP like most toys these days, they’ll be absolutely fine as acetone doesn’t interact with it. If you can find out the material, you can google how it interacts with acetone and see if it will melt or not.
Fun fact, acetone was the original silver bullet to kill Cybermen courtesy of companion Polly in the 2nd Doctor episodes The Moonbase. Stupid delivery system though. They put a concoction of plastic destroying chemicals into a plastic spray bottle.
Im about ready to become a Jakks Pacific superfan with this line and the Sonic movie 3 figures. I think theyve done a brilliant job making figures both affordable and good. My only criticism is that the expressions are a little neutral, but I suppose thatll be fixed in time with rereleases with different head sculpts inevitably but the other is a bit more specific: Jakks have this weird problem with scale. I think its a limitation of budget but essentially when you buy a Jakks figure they come in either one of two “standard” lines: 2.5 inch figures with a little bit of articulation or the more articulated figure which are usually 4 or 5 inches. What this means tho is theyre never 1:12 or 1:10 scale they always have to be 2.5, 4”, 5” or 6” in the case of the odd collector’s edition. This makes it difficult to scale the figs For example Bart and Homer when put together look a bit “off”, Bart’s head is bigger than Homer’s head when in the show theyre around the same size because Simpsons has wacky proportions but that plus Bart’s height is made bigger to accomodate for the scale. Youll see in the video games too, Bart, Maggie and Lisa’s character models are bigger to make them more visible and give them similar hitboxes to the adults. The same is here I guess So if you want to get in-scale figures you kinda have to mix and match the ranges. Same with Sonic, where 2.5 inch Classic figures scale great with 4” moderns. However you have to essentially do your homework. So for example get a 4” inch Classic Robotnik, 2.5 inch classic figures, a 4” Mecha Sonic and all that stuff. Then the 4” Modern Eggman is still too small. It’s all a bit weird That being said their figures are excellent, you just have to if you want a display of their height get multiple figures for each. So a 2.5 inch Bart and Lisa might be more accurate to display with Homer and when they make a 5” Marge Also i would recommend checking out the Super7 line of Simpsons figures for some really brilliant accessories. Tall figures tho!
Hot Take: Silver Age Simpsons (Seasons 11-19) is still as good as Golden Age Simpsons. Arguably it only starts a downward trajectory around the time they swapped from 4:3 to Widescreen.
Y'know, I've never seen the Simpsons, and the only figures I like are transformers (they're like little puzzles/fidgets but also robots but also cars) this video was not designed for mine eyes. I'm still gonna watch it all the way through tho
13:08 There’s a really old Simpsons arcade game where if Marge gets electrocuted and turns into a skeleton you see her rabbit ears
acetone, does damage the finish tbh, I much prefer using very fine grit sandpaper or a classic white rubber actually works great with some elbow grease
lots of people use rubbers to remove prints pon lego minifigures for customs!
Thanks for the tip! I'll try with a rubber!
@@NerdCubedOoh Eck. 😅
@@NerdCubedI Think I've seen that x-ray

Hahaha
Don't let Stuart know you have Funko pops 😅
he'd cut them up with the world's sharpest knife
Tbf, bitty pops are more acceptable. Unlike standard sized funkos, they actually have detail to them because they're so small.
@Stargazeer idk I've seen some pretty shi bittys , and to say normal pops don't have a lot of detail is mental XD bro they have tons

oh my god JAKKS does a Simpsons advent calender
We gotta call Ashens ASAP
"My name is Otto! I like to get blotto!"
I love Jakks Pacific but they are so bad about printing big blocks of print on their toys...
That Lisa wastes so much space in her box, they could've added in another accessory or an alternate head
They could've totally added in a Snowball figure
@@Mysenhoffle Exactly, she didn't even need to be posable aside from maybe the head
Or Maggie. Though she might be a Marge Accessory.
@@scottishdrunkard1845 Yeah Maggie would totally come with Marge like she did in The Simpsons Game
YOU'RE STILL AROUND!? WHAT!?! ALSO A TOY REVIEWER? THAT'S COOL!
Patty and Selma have to be a twin pack like Lenny and Carl
Acetone would melt the plastic, I'd highly recommend not using that.
Maybe just using some white paint or tipp-ex would cover the writing. 👍
Pasco marker might work.
I really hope they do a Sideshow Bob with a rake accessory!
Oh god, The Void has claimed another glasses wearing British man.
I had no desire for a Simpson's figure until I just looked them up and there's Homer in his baseball uniform. That I want.
Dan: “Have you considered that I’m an idiot?” Yes, Dan. Yes we have. 👍
that printing is a crime wtf
Fifteen quid for that!
Opens video: "that Homer looks pretty cool, I might look up the price". Sees the printing on the back: "Well they ruined that!"

Those tiny funko pops reminds me of the ones in that advent calendar you opened with Stuart a few years ago.
With the excellent articulation you could almost make a stop action Simpsons video.
wille has been seen working in the grave yard loads of times
...I did actually say Groundskeeper Willie (after seeing the one before)
Honestly, same. Willy is great!
Just realised the implications of what I said
The part where mo killed lisa, reminded me soo much of the bobble head saints row role play 😂😂
ngl when guessing those season 1 characters I did actually guess Willie would have been one of them, never would have guessed Otto
Dan: Lisa is my favourite character! But Moe is really my favourite character! Him and Mr. Burns

Whoever picked these clearly loves bart, every single side character so far has a clear relation to him.

Oh No, Funko! You finally found a way to get out of doing advent as we can’t possibly imagine Ashens coming to visit with all those Funko about.
RLM's Science Man can help you with all your acetone needs.
Correct about Otto being my favourite
You should get the JAKKS Simpsons advent calendar for this year!
But their cold dead black eyes though!
Have a couple of these on my nostalgia shelf, I got Radioactive Man and Bart Man
the fact i cheered when you said you were collecting bitty pops
I've got Bart and Homer I can't really go all in on the line but I plan to finish the family at the very least
I was concerned when you said you were collecting funko but those bitty ones are very cute
Man, Otto should have come with a book, something from the vampires point of view.
I'm glad they stopped making this show in 1998. It ended at its peak, and paved the way for Futurama the following year.
Am I imagining it or did there use to be a dedicated Nerd3 toys channel? Not that I mind, just wondering.
that text on the back is worse then on sonic screwdrivers
36 Yr old owning a house, what madness! So unrealistic lol.
I always wondered who actually buys those tiny Funko Pops xD
There’s also a Bartman figure.
I miss the Jakks wrestling figures.
Damn, Crazy Bones.
Hugh Jass!
They're beautiful
love it and the simpsons
you neec to review the talking siposons moe phone
You have been seduced by Funko pops, you have betrayed your Funko hating audience. This is a sad day.
