I guess the good thing with duplicates of this, is that when you go online and shop for the single one you want and you can replace the duplicate in bracket with the new single one you just got. I also agree with you Dan that Mini ones are better, I think the reason is because the level of details matches the size of it.
I love how they made it so you can take them out and put them back in the box, and give you shelves, since with the regular ones, people just keep them in the box so you don't see the back, and stack the boxes up
The only good Funko Pop was the Ripto one from Spyro 2, because you could take a neon yellow permanent marker and draw slit pupils on the eyes to make it look more like Ripto
They just announced these mini play sets for this line. It's the size of a normal Funko Pop box, but then the front half folds out in 2 halves like a doll house, and it's a bunch of little rooms for the bitty ones to sit in. The Lilo and Stitch house looks amazing, and the Harry Potter castle is neat too.
How are these better? They're painted worse, are still funko pops, and are still cheap tat Ashens would laugh at for being included in a loot crate with a line something like "Just when you thought regular Funko pops weren't cheap enough, they gave you one 1% the size!. God, look at how shit the paint is, his glasses are melting into his eye sockets"
They are painted the same, they're just smaller. The painting really isn't that bad for the size of them, not perfect but good enough for me personally. The reason they are more likeable is solely because the lack of detail in the bigger ones makes sense at a smaller scale. Of course, this excludes the chibi + cubic style of these things which I dislike most of the time except for some of them like nemo for example which I find sort of charming (but only at this small scale).
Made them smaller, but somehow, made the actual paint, and model... more shit, But its small enough you cant see it from the distance that people will be staying away from them. So thats a plus i guess.
