Great to see the garden kitchen is finally finished. A little sad that it's laid to rest my theory that you had recreated your original kitchen in its entirety and had actually been filming in the garden for months 😂
Next time try putting the garlic, anchovies, and oil into a mortar and pestle and make a paste to coat the veggies! I feel like that would help a lot! Also, I love the microplane thing! You could probably get those tiny ice cube trays, the silicone ones, and grate a whole lotta garlic and freeze it in individual portions!

Congrats on finally getting into the garden kitchen =) The lighting is a bit gloomy (especially in back of shot) so definitely something worth playing around with - but it's all about finding what works for you over time. Nice one =)
The new set looks great! Might need a little work on the acoustics but otherwise I think you've got it! Be sure to get some fun magnets for that fridge, you still need some Homer Simpson in there!

Hey Barry just a tip to help with the pasta boat if you ever use it again, microwave the pasta boat without the lid on in short blasts of 2-3 minutes stirring after each blast until the pasta is cooked. You probably only should use the lid either as a strainer or if you want to steam something in the pasta boat in my experience with similar devices.
One thing I hate about cooking pasta in the microwave is it always boils over and I have had to remember to put a towel underneath the cooking vessel so I don't have a mess to clean up.
Chicory is my bunny's favourite veggie, so the fact you described it as a hay texture in the pasta made me laugh XD (She has also been watching along, I think she knows)

This is not a criticism, it’s just an observation, but there is a bit of an echo in the new kitchen. Maybe consider some acoustic foam panels on the walls and ceiling outside the view of the camera.
Welcome back Barry! Have you ever seen the hack where you use a soup ladle to help with poaching eggs instead of using those pod things? Never, tried it myself (honestly, don't even remember where I saw the video on TikTok) but i would love to see you try it!
@@mrbarrylewis I forgot to add that I use similar cups to those for poached eggs. Mine are round and not as floppy but they do great eggs after 6 mins on medium heat. I also use a fingered oven glove to lift the cups out but your cut glove would do the job.
soak the Chicory in warm/hot water. Cold water doesnt help to mellow out the bitter stuff as well. Or use it as is but make a sweet dressing (for example with strawberry jam or other jam).
Like clearing ice from a wind screen? How many icy windscreens have you cleaned Barry?! I've never had one come off that easy unless it was just snow...

The silicone egg poach pods - they are brilliant for putting over bottle and jar caps that are difficult to unscrew, give a really firm grip. -
