Thank you so much for the upload and the nglish subtitles. Laudrup, let's never stop mentioning him, the owner of the world midfield between the late 80s and the mid-1990s. Legend, idol, myth! Fan from Brazil.
Michael Laudrup played 7 years in Spain.... One of the best passers of the ball I’ve ever seen it’s strange that he’s never mentioned as one of the Barcelona greats probably because he moved directly to Madrid.
It's a bit silly honestly because Barcelona stopped used him for some dumb ass reason. Did they expect him to just sit on the bench forever? Of course he's going to leave if they're not using him. I will never understand Cruyff's decision to bench him, and I think it's probably the greatest mistake of his career as a manager. When Barcelona lost 4-0 til AC Milan, Capello also commented on the fact that the player he had feared was Laudrup, and that leaving him out of the team (he wasn't even on the bench iirc) was a mistake on Cruyff's part.
@@FearsomeVoid Or Laudrup _and_ Laudrup. Brian was a Rossonero at that time. He was also left out of his squad. I agree, it was one of Cruyff's big mistakes, he feared Milan more than he trusted his own players, so he retained his trusted back four, which included Koeman, over the most feared attacking trio in Laudrup, Stoitchkov and Romario. Brian was only a rotation player at Milan, so was obviously never going to be picked for a Champions League match at that time, when the 3-foreign player limit was still a thing, but it would have been magnificent to see them against each other in the biggest club match of the year.

They never expected he was that good. In Italy, especially in the 80's, the big reputation and consideration was for defenders.
