I see a lot of comments about comparing Laudrup with Zidane and others - who is better etc. Why ? just enjoy Laudrup and leave the other players out. Michael can not be compared with other players - he is unique.

The player from whom I've learned to fully apreciate the art of playmaking. Brilliant, intelligent, skilled (though underrated as he was just objective, no move was wasted) and, overall, unselfish. Because of him, later another player who resembled much of him became my idol, Rui Costa. Thanks for the upload.

Laudrup had timeless skill and ability. Put him in ANY era and he would comfortably be a top 3 world player. Total legend. Can't believe some 'football fans' haven't heard of him!!

Being understated is part of the appeal imo. That's what a gentleman is. Who cares what the majority thinks? Watching these videos is totally mesmerising. And the subtleness is a big reason for it, i think. He does things that are seemingly impossible and makes no fuss about it. Like it's nothing. And you sit back thinking what just happened there. He is more of a magician trying to hide his tricks than he's a flashy entertainer trying to make everything bigger. That's why he's underrated imo.

Before him they're usual spot was 2. or 3. after Real Madrid. None of the greates that exist today has ever done that, even Messi as great as he is, was made from something there already were.

He's Spain's current top 3 footballers all rolled into one. Silva, Iniesta, Xavi = Laudrup. Incredible talent.
