Thanks for childhood memories. The Laudrups still are the most underrated footballers in history. Michael has 5:0, 5:0. Brian should have deserved the same. But i am grateful for the Ranger years.

The Laudrups were probably the best two brothers in modern football. The De Boers were great but between Michael and Brian, you had one of the best tactical stalwarts of all-time and an incredible, creative dribbler. Hahaaah, and then there's the Nevilles.
Michael was the better player but he was probaly the worlds best in his day Brian was absolutely amazing for rangers and gave me lots of happy memories watching him play for rangers . Many players produce great skill, it takes a special player to follow up great skill with quality end product, and Laudrup had that. Skill that moves the play forward, that ends up with an assist, goal or a really dangerous ball into the box.

He was a great inspiration, he was a great dribbler and knew when to turn up the pace in a game. His dribbling technique was basic but in perfection, great touch, balance, speed and awareness.
When you have speed like that with body control, dribbling is best done basically. Players like Ronaldinho and Neymar have to rely on trickery to move the ball past a defender on their off-side, because they only have a fast and powerul step to the other. The Messis, CR7s, Peles, Maradonas and only a few others like the Laudrups don't have to bother slowing down and wasting time and possession.

And of course his pace with the ball. He was just as fast WITH the ball as without it, and I think that's what made him such a good player. Well originally Brian didn't even wanna play football. He dreamt of being a badminton player, no kidding. He was also unsettled with the big pressure on him, sas Michael was. He always loved Scotland and felt at home, and that and his familys wellbeing meant more to him than his professional career. A great man. But yeah Michael was of another world.

I think Laudrup played his best football in Germany 1989-1992 and again for Florentina in 1992-93 but these teams had poor management at the time

well you could argue gazza only played in england, as his career in italy was not so good. english league then compared to say germany, spain or italy was weaker - so comparing gazza with a player like brian laudraup who was - the number1 superstar in the bundesliga - prior leaving bayern, you could say laudraup played at higher level for longer, at a younger age as well. however paul gasgoine was magnificent as well. again, arguabley the second best player to have played in scotland, exception only i can think of would be kenny dalgliesh with celtic (although we didnt know just how good kenny would become).

Not even close. Kaka could never maintain body control when he ran with the ball. All he could do was touch it ahead and lunge. Kaka was MASSIVELY over-rated.
i re watched that game. I disagree, brian laudrup was superb in that game set up the 1st goal and scored the second while dribbling and causing brazil problems down the wing and also passing the ball and spreading the play nicely. Michael on the other hand we all know is a world class player was actually poor in that game, didnt do anything and did some sloppy passing.
