I was born in 1953 so I missed Louis Prima, Sam Butera and the Witnesses. But it's such a joy to watch these old videos. That was real talent and cannot not be duplicated. Sam's smile and Louis' exuberance were a winning combination, along with a fantastic back up band.
Sam had a way of singing that matched the music that was being played so well that it's indescribable. Amazing.
This song, when it's done right, is absolutely fiery. This = 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Sam had it all!

Nobody could take a single note or a simple riff and drive it the way Sam Butera could. And IMHO, he is a much better singer than Louis Prima.
