  • The infamous nod-out during addiction. The nod out's or the nod offs happen to most opioid users at some point in time and can happen from many different substances, mostly downers.
The nod-offs can lead to disaster and this is a story of how a 2-second nod-out led to a total disaster for me.

I used to drive.... middle of winter, snow coming into the car, and I would just keep yelling or making a long sound come out like, lalalalala.... all just to get home or get to work. So thankful for suboxone. Keep up the fight everyone.

Just watched your interview with Chad, amazing story/testimony. You know the people that don't do the drugs we pick to do don't understand so when they say just get clean! It's easier said than done. They don't get there's detox to go thru. Some are restlessness, puking your guts up, sleepless nights(being up all night) then somewhat thru the middle of the detox you just finally fall asleep and your out for couple days to a few days. Keep up with the videos new subscriber. Love them so far.

Sum things I realized about nodding, I slowly stop breathing, when I wake up it’s cuz my body needs oxygen and it’s also when the euphoria hits the most. Another thing is I would never even know if I died, I don’t know when I fall into the state, I just remember waking up.

Very informative, especially for those of us that haven't gone through this but have young family members that have. I thought you were great on Chad's channel; I'll be checking you out now.

As a teen on back of my dads motorcycle it was normal for me to have to wake up my nodding off dad when light turned green. Heroine

Just lost my job because I nodded out for 2 seconds, 2 days after I took a half a cab after being sober for some time. Crashed the car, couldn’t stay awake for the life of me. Sucks man. Don’t do drugs

Woah I had it once years ago, after a very long drive, put my head out the window mid winter to stay awake. I was so afraid it would happen again.

Nodding is really the cousin of death. Nothing like being tired, it’s a whole different beast

My friends young grandson nodded off. Head on collision. Left hospital. Now in jail. Here in California you practically have to 5150 yourself to get medical detox. Been calling places for him all day

My brain is fubar'd. Opioids don't make me nod out. It speeds me up, like meth does normal people.
Edit; I'm extremely ADHD so amphetamines slow me down.
I'm almost 2 years clean now.

Is a complete blackout for sometimes up to two hours sometimes three, is that a non-House? I used to not out and fall over but recently I’ve been nodding out and really getting injured and falling on top of a stove…..
I’ve convinced myself that I would never knock out while driving but that is naïve because I don’t feel it sometimes it just happens. I wake up on the floor or I wake up two hours later. Also is blacking out like that is that like an OD? Is a person OD when they do that? And Thank you in advance if you see this

How many feet your car moves in even just 2 seconds of not paying attention depending on your speed - it's simple maths and so crazy... I'm glad you were okay and nobody got hurt:)
