LAY HO!! I just stumbled upon your channel. I can always tell within a few videos the people that are truly passionate about what they do. I really want to thank you for putting out Vegan content and having very clean straight to the point videos. I will be getting all books and doing the sushi course as my way of supporting the channel and getting a little piece of you in every meal I will prepare out of them. Once more Thank you kindly, buddy. May GOD JESUS BLESS you with peace, and long life.
Your channel is amazing to me, until I started watching a little over a year ago I’d never tried tofu, now I love it, I’m not a vegan but your meals prove that you don’t only have to be vegan to enjoy vegan food, the imagination you put into your recipes never disappoints, my son who is vegan cooks a lot of your recipes also, thank you brother
I changed to a vegan diet day after Xmas and have so enjoyed watching you cook. Today I made your crispy tofu with the lemon sauce... My 85 y.o.mum who says, " I need meat at every meal" tasted it and couldn't stop eating eat! Thank you!!
I made this fried tofu recipe yesterday for a dinner party and it was absolutely delicious. I added lemon zest and I doubled the glaze amount. Just wonderful - everybody loved it, even the meat-eaters. 😊
Thanks so much for this recipe. It was a hit for dinner tonight. I modified it slightly by using a fresh squeezed orange instead of lemon and paired it with rice and hot/sweet spicy oven baked Brussels sprouts. :)
Hello, greetings from oklahoma, USA. Watching now! Love not only your radio voice, but your vegetarian recipes. I am a vegetarian; I cant wait for your next video.
If you want it even more lemony - use an organic lemon and zest it before juicing. Then add it to the pan after the garlic when making the sauce. Will make the end result that little more fragrant 💛🍋
Hey, Wil: Went fully plant-based Jan 7 and learning how to cook some new dishes. I've been a subscriber for a while now but will be reviewing your recipes for inspiration and recipes 😋
I mostly eat a plant based diet and altho I love tofu I was not great at using it in my meals until I found your channel. This is so delicious and easy to make. Thank you so much! Also your videos are pleasant to watch and hear. Just enough material to watch, listen, follow along and enjoy 💖
You are absolutely amaZZZZZing! I thoroughly enjoy your culinary presentations. Your tone of voice frames the sacredness of each meal as medicine to the mind bosy and Soul! Priceless! 🍽️
Thank you so much for providing us with an angelic visualization for a potential plan. ❤️🙏The descriptive expression at the end of the video is especially important to appreciate! Merci beaucoup ✨
I am always looking for lemon recipes as I have a high-producing lemon tree here in Los Angeles, and it's an Italian Eureka lemon variety, which produces giant lemons. They are just about ready to harvest, and I can't wait to try this!! Thank you for yet another GREAT recipe! This will look so nice in your bowls. I HIGHLY recommend them, and so glad that I purchased them.
Make preserved lemons with kosher salt and sugar - super easy and your Eureka lemons are most suitable. In a couple of weeks you will be using them in almost every dish (chicken, fish, lamb are best) and they keep for months in the fridge.
Have ever made tofu, like general tsao s chicken, or orange chicken, or sesame orange chicken just substituting in tofu? Thanks fir your excellent photography and cooking
THANK YOU!!! I made this crispy tofu lemon dish and it was great ! And I served it with rice. It was delicious and my husband loved it. All your recipes are real keepers and I thank you so much for teaching me so much!!! Abundant Blessings!
We almost finished the whole block of tofu because of your irresistible recipe! The leftover flour and marinate can be used to make fritters (in taste similar to chinese fried bread); combine marinate with contents of dry and wet station, add a 1/4 cup sesame seeds and mix, plus extra seasoning if desired (e.g. hot chili oil (hint), soy sauce...) and deep fry by the spoonful 🙂
I love that I have almost all the ingrediants at my home. The only ingrediant I am missing is the Tofu which I will be buying this week when I go shopping. The recipe seems pretty simple yet flavorful and yummy. I love that there is not much prep work, you can make it easily with most of the ingrediants you have in your cup board or at least for me this is true. A good easy recipe for a single person to make.
Lay Ho! This recipe reminds me to ask about consumption of Tofu. How much of it can you eat or is there a limit? I love the looks of this as an appetizer. I have one of of your books and I just love it. 😊
What a great idea you gave me! A friend of mine has just came back from China (work trip) and we are having a dinner together this weekend. I'll cook this faboulous recipe! Thank you!!
Thank you for the new video; your recipes are great, and the videos clear and direct. What is it that limits the number of times you can or should re-use your oils?
Happy new year to you! And to everyone! Hope the year is great for you all. Thank you Yeung man for your awesome recipe. Looks divine! A must try for me! Have an amazing week ahead. Lots of love from South Africa 💜💜
Lay Ho There! We made this for dinner the other night and are so grateful for your recipes! I baked them instead of frying, which was a mistake as I didn't have sprayable oil and these just came out hard with dried flour in the cracks. Frying would have been preferable. However the overall flavor was amazing and we couldn't stop eating it! My lemon was a little dry so I added the zest as per another reviewer's suggestion and it punched up the flavor. They smelled so good in the sauce that I couldn't wait and ended up neglecting to add additional water to loosen it up so they were dryer than in the video. But again, THANK YOU for your wonderful videos and amazing recipes!
I adore lemon anything! Thank you! It is hard to resist eating all your tofu before adding the sauce! I add malabar pepper to finish , though but before adding lemon sauce. Make a double batch!
I love your channel. I will be getting your cookbooks and bowls, but what I really want are the big shallow bowls you use for plating. They are gorgeous.
For many recipes, it isn't the ingredients that make the dish special, it's the techniques used. I'm definitely trying this one! Meantime, sometime I'd love to see a plant-based version of Ken Hom's Lemon Chicken recipe. I made that dish before I was vegan and it was exquisite, not cloyingly sweet like at many restaurants. Easy to find the recipe on the web. Perhaps could work with pressed tofu or seitan. But the velveting technique--aquafaba instead of egg white? The key for Ken's lemon chicken is that the protein isn't browned. He suggests serving it with cold sesame broccoli on the side (the broccoli being blanched), I guess because the broccoli has some crunch to contrast with the soft lemon glazed protein.
Hi my dear friend thanks so much for another great cooking video. You come up with the best recipes and even though I don’t like tofu, I’m sure I could use what you have come up with with anything else and maybe still even make a vegetarian meal thanks for always giving me so much great information and tips. You’re one of my favorite chefs on RUclips. You make everything look and sound so wonderful wonderful
Wow, this looks so delicious; I'm going to try it tonight! By the way, I've been using the clockwise-order of frying food for years now; you're the only other person I've heard mention it.
First Chinese dish I've made that is restaurant quality. I made much smaller chunks of tofu and substituted honey for the maple syrup. Method was easy and ingredients were not hard to find. Thank you Mr. Yeung, will check out your cookbook.
To the Old Saying about the Lemons and Lemonade, dont forget to use the other Citrus fruit Grapefruit from Chef Wi's video other option. Great 💡 Idea. 😊
Ny what big lemons you hav there! LOL! Mine are quite small comparatively! That Tofu looks so inviting. I never deep fry anything at home. I just wanted to reach into my screen, and grab some! ~Tracy
I don't have maple syrup, so i will be using buckwheat honey! I know this one will turn out amazing since your recipes never disappoint! I got my friends and family hooked on them, too!
Hi Yeung I love your channel and know it’s about cooking however I have a little request… from time to time you open your cupboards! Insanely well organized and I look at mine and they are the total opposite of that! Would you maybe do a quick video of how you organize your kitchen please! I’m sure others would love to see what you do to keep it so organized. Thanks in advance and if you don’t want to do a video maybe a few notes in your description. But please do a video 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇦🇺💝👋🏻😎

Made this last night… 🤤 it was so good. I thought it was funny how you said be careful not to snack too much on the tofu… but it wasn’t funny after I ate 1, 2, 3, 4…I had to hurry and make the sauce or I wouldn’t have any tofu left. So delicious! Thanks for sharing!! I’ll be buying your cookbook soon.
(1) Why not use all or part starch with the flour? (2) How about taking strips of lemon zest and frying in the oil or drying in the oven for a crispy topping? (3) How about using some dried shiitake powder in the flour coating? Since I'm not a vegan, I think this recipe would be fantastic with Ottolenghi's Baked Mint Rice with Olive Pomegranate Salsa, a vegetarian dish. Although I'm not a vegan, I have always loved tofu.

love your channel ... was wondering why you use specifically avocado oil in some cases? is it for the flavor or some smokeless quality? Been cooking expertly for decades and never tried avocado oil. Same, I've been watching this channel for years. Recipes never fail to disappoint and nothing is complicated.

Woooo! 🙌🏻🥳
Instead of flour try instant potato flakes instead. If you want crisp this will do it for sure. You can even crush the flakes a bit for more coverage.
Also a great way to make it gluten free if you need to. Which I do,so now I'm going to have to make it 🤭
Sounds tasty 🙌🏻
So glad to see this suggestion. I have a friend who is very gluten intolerant and I know she would love this!
Thanks for sharing! As someone gluten free this is so helpful to tweak recipe to my dietary needs.
I haven’t tried this yet but I can tell with confidence this is delicious! I’ve tried many of your recipes and they never disappoint!

I’m totally going to make this! My neighbor just gave me some beautiful Meyer lemons from her tree! Thanks for the great recipes!
If you want it even more lemony - use an organic lemon and zest it before juicing.
Then add it to the pan after the garlic when making the sauce. Will make the end result that little more fragrant 💛🍋

I was thinking the same about the zesr. 👍

what would be a good substitute for maple syrup?
I don't have maple syrup, so i will be using buckwheat honey! I know this one will turn out amazing since your recipes never disappoint! I got my friends and family hooked on them, too!
Love this! Thank you! I've been keeping lots of tofu in the freezer. When I get snowed in, I need a back up on food!
That sounds like a good plan 👨🏻🍳👌🏻
Thank you, Wil. ❤
Cheers! 🙌🏻
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING ❤️ (I hope that you are both well.)
Can't wait to make this recipe. I do have one question.....If I want to make the tofu in the oven, how long do I cook it in the oven at 400 degrees?
Super recipe.....super easy.....and seriously super delicious! This stuff can become addictive!
🥳🥳🥳
If we do not eat flour, what do you recommend using?!? Thanks! Love love love your show!
Wonderful do-able recipe. Thank you.
My pleasure 😊 Enjoy!

Sounds like a tasty experiment 😁
Your videos make me happy. 😊
🤗
Absolutely delicious! I doubled the sauce & it was perfect! This recipe was a hit with everyone and will be a regular favourite 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great to hear! 🙌🏻🥳
Definitely trying this! Yum! Thank you!
My pleasure 🙌🏻 and enjoy!
I made this last night and it was extremely delicious! Highly recommend!
So relaxing 2 watch
Beautiful!! Thank you!!!! (Oh, I wonder, would some of the lemon zest add or subtract from this dish..I’ll try and let you know what I think. Yum!!)
I love your voice . It’s so soothing . Oh and also your cooking 😂

It’s easy to do so 😆 Glad to hear you enjoyed!

Since I'm not a vegan, I think this recipe would be fantastic with Ottolenghi's Baked Mint Rice with Olive Pomegranate Salsa, a vegetarian dish.
Although I'm not a vegan, I have always loved tofu.
I'm going to try this with cauliflower ❤
I bet that will be great.
This is an excellent variation on the General Tso's tofu you did recently!! Thank you for sharing this yummy dish!
Yes! So many fun flavour and options 🙌🏻
Oh my goodness! I have just made this and it was absolutely delicious! I can see why you said you could eat the whole lot yourself. Thank you for this fab recipe
Glad you liked it! 🙌🏻
Oh I bought Tofu I'm so glad you brought this now I have no idea how to cook it. I need a quick snack type. 😮
I'd really appreciate metric units in the description so I don't always have to try and translate the amounts to the units we use here in Europe. Also makes it way easier to go grocery shopping when I can just look at a recipe and go to the store rather than having to eyeball how much 2 1/2 cups might be in mL. Love the recipes but that part is sometimes holding me back from cooking them
Looks scrumptious. Definitely trying this minus the sugar for sauce (I;m sugar-free). Thanks, Will
It’s such a lovely way you cook and present, I even feel like crying as I find you such a relief
I swear god is in your kitchen
Oh wow! What a compliment and glad to hear how much you are enjoying ☺️
Back to the delicious Tofu meal sweet and crispy finishing with a delicious sauce. Yummy. 😊
This look so good, you think i could cook it in the airfryer, thank you for sharing.
WOW, can’t wait to try. Thanks so much for this new addition to your FAB recipes.
Happy cooking 😎
Made this today... wow I couldn"t stop eating it. thank you for this wonderful recipe.
Glad you liked it!! 🙌🏻
Looks yummy! If gluten free, can one use rice flour instead? Also, can you cook in an air fryer? Thanks!
Thanks for talking about baking it in the oven. Trying not to eat fried foods.
I’m going to try this in my air fryer!
Another amazing recipe ! Thanks Will !
My pleasure! 🙌🏻🥳
love your channel ... was wondering why you use specifically avocado oil in some cases? is it for the flavor or some smokeless quality? Been cooking expertly for decades and never tried avocado oil. Also do you have a fave blend of Zatar link or do you have a video how to make it? Thank you for your aesthetics and expertise!
I have to admit that in the past I've had mixed results trying to bread tofu using just flour. This has definitely inspired me to try again.
Looks mouth watering!! Can we use an airfryer instead of frying in the avocado oil?
It’s possible 🙌🏻
Yes another fried tofu winner 🎉 Thanks for the share. Can’t wait to give this a whirl 💃🏾
🥳🥳🥳
