Instead of flour try instant potato flakes instead. If you want crisp this will do it for sure. You can even crush the flakes a bit for more coverage.

If you want it even more lemony - use an organic lemon and zest it before juicing.
Then add it to the pan after the garlic when making the sauce. Will make the end result that little more fragrant 💛🍋

I am always looking for lemon recipes as I have a high-producing lemon tree here in Los Angeles, and it's an Italian Eureka lemon variety, which produces giant lemons. They are just about ready to harvest, and I can't wait to try this!! Thank you for yet another GREAT recipe! This will look so nice in your bowls. I HIGHLY recommend them, and so glad that I purchased them.

Make preserved lemons with kosher salt and sugar - super easy and your Eureka lemons are most suitable. In a couple of weeks you will be using them in almost every dish (chicken, fish, lamb are best) and they keep for months in the fridge.

We almost finished the whole block of tofu because of your irresistible recipe! The leftover flour and marinate can be used to make fritters (in taste similar to chinese fried bread); combine marinate with contents of dry and wet station, add a 1/4 cup sesame seeds and mix, plus extra seasoning if desired (e.g. hot chili oil (hint), soy sauce...) and deep fry by the spoonful 🙂

I love that I have almost all the ingrediants at my home. The only ingrediant I am missing is the Tofu which I will be buying this week when I go shopping. The recipe seems pretty simple yet flavorful and yummy. I love that there is not much prep work, you can make it easily with most of the ingrediants you have in your cup board or at least for me this is true. A good easy recipe for a single person to make.

Lay Ho There! We made this for dinner the other night and are so grateful for your recipes! I baked them instead of frying, which was a mistake as I didn't have sprayable oil and these just came out hard with dried flour in the cracks. Frying would have been preferable. However the overall flavor was amazing and we couldn't stop eating it! My lemon was a little dry so I added the zest as per another reviewer's suggestion and it punched up the flavor. They smelled so good in the sauce that I couldn't wait and ended up neglecting to add additional water to loosen it up so they were dryer than in the video. But again, THANK YOU for your wonderful videos and amazing recipes!

For many recipes, it isn't the ingredients that make the dish special, it's the techniques used. I'm definitely trying this one! Meantime, sometime I'd love to see a plant-based version of Ken Hom's Lemon Chicken recipe. I made that dish before I was vegan and it was exquisite, not cloyingly sweet like at many restaurants. Easy to find the recipe on the web. Perhaps could work with pressed tofu or seitan. But the velveting technique--aquafaba instead of egg white? The key for Ken's lemon chicken is that the protein isn't browned. He suggests serving it with cold sesame broccoli on the side (the broccoli being blanched), I guess because the broccoli has some crunch to contrast with the soft lemon glazed protein.

Also makes it way easier to go grocery shopping when I can just look at a recipe and go to the store rather than having to eyeball how much 2 1/2 cups might be in mL. love your channel ... was wondering why you use specifically avocado oil in some cases? is it for the flavor or some smokeless quality? Been cooking expertly for decades and never tried avocado oil. Also do you have a fave blend of Zatar link or do you have a video how to make it? Thank you for your aesthetics and expertise!

I have to admit that in the past I've had mixed results trying to bread tofu using just flour. This has definitely inspired me to try again.

Looks mouth watering!! Can we use an airfryer instead of frying in the avocado oil?
