Great Video! My 2010 Corolla LE with 126k, has an AC issue. Turn on the AC on a hot summer afternoon day in South Florida even all the way on high setting and it blows warm air for five minutes. After five minutes I can feel the cool air starting to blow. My mechanic replaced the AC refregeriant but it does not solve the issue.. Will replacing the A/C control valve solve my issue?
Thanks for the video. I have a 2013 Corolla facing a similar issue. Sometimes, air conditioner turns on, sometimes it does not, sometimes cooling is low, other times, it works perfectly. The AC technician says compressor is bad and entire system needs to be replaced including compressor, condenser, evaporator all air conditioning lines and then AC will work perfectly. I asked him if AC works perfectly some times then how can the compressor be bad. But he does not have a convincing answer to that. Could my problem also be a bad solenoid valve? How much would it cost to get a new valve? Thanks
@@techtronics591 My problem is less frequent now. Now it happens only after several days, most of the time AC works fine. But I have purchased the solenoid valve. If the problem gets worse then I will replace the valve and see how it goes.
@@uniqueaircoolers1997 thanks for your video and response. I was able to fix the issue by replacing the solenoid, replacing the dryer, vacuuming out the system and refilling with refrigerant and a small bit of oil. It works pretty well but doesn't seem to cool until the car is warmed up.
Thank you so much for your vid. Are you perhaps familiar with the issue where the aircon switches on and works for a minute or so and then just switches off ? If you switch it off and on again it will start up and cool nicely but then switch off again after a minute or 2. I have been searching online for hours and hours on end with no joy. Greetings from South Africa.
Hey bro greetings. I have a 05 Toyota Noah, 1az engine. A mechanic did some work on engine and a/c not working afterwards. 3 seperate a/c technicians told me the a/c solenoid valve is at fault. My concern is, every technician told me to change the compressor also because replacing the solenoid is more than likely to not work or work for a short period then going back to square one. Why is that? Are they doing something wrong in Montego bay, where I'm from. I saw ur video and several others but none addressing the alleged high failure rate . What is ur view or experience with replacing an a/c solenoid as opposed to compressor w/solenoid. Great video by the way. Keep up the good work
In my experience there is not a very high failure rate because of the technique I use. The system, including the compressor, has to be properly flushed and cleaned before replacing the solenoid. After regassing the system, I do a full evaluation just to make sure that everything is done correctly and there are no additional issues before returning the vehicle to my customer.
Hi brother i m having the same car Issue is ac works fine when idle when i drive on long routes it trips stops working ac gas eveything is normal rpm is also normal What should i do sensor replacement or compressor replacement ???
I have a Toyota Yaris 2009 My a/c blows cold when at idle but when start accelerating it goes warm… the low side pressure start rising when accelerating. The high side pressure stays put at about 200psi
I have an issue wd my ac system i changed its bearing bcot it was making a noise now bearing is changed but when I start running my car ac goes off when i stop my car or run it in a low gears like first and second ac starts working can u plz tell me what will be the issue??
What is part number of this Solenoid Valve ? I have same car and same issue.. local technician given solution to replace everything like compressor + condenser + new pipes + valve etc. which cost huge.
I have a 2013 toyota corolla the ac does not come on at all the compresser has been checked as well as the fuses and the ac motor all working it sending I shut down code or a do not turn on code or something the mechanic said because when it's turned on by the machine it works I have taken it to 5 mechanics including toyota and it has no one can figure it out toyota is charging 150 dollars ann hour to try and figure it out and couldn't in two hours I dnt what to do is anyone else having this issue?

Do you know if by replacing this, will the Freon need to be evacuated properly before working?

ac cooling gass refelling required in this process ? or gass in system save?
You are supposed to put new freon as it will escape when removing this part.
Hello great video! did you vacuum the AC system out before changing the solenoid?
Yes, we did remove the gas and vacuum the system. It's the best way to do it so you can get optimal results.

That's seems like a bad solenoid valve
How to determine if you need whole new compressor or just solenoid valve?
Would have to do a few checks

Price to fix?
Yes it does
Will the condensor fan still run with this issue ?
