Can you replace the solenoid valve in the compressor and fix the problem without vacuum and re-gassing?
You have to remove the gas from the system before doing any pulling any lines at all. The system has to be properly flushed and oil changed before replacing the solenoid, then you can vacuum and add gas back to the system.
