You guys missed the After Credits Scene! It's at the end end. Glad you both got to watch this. It's funny, but it is practically a documentary. I remember watching Saved By The Bell when I was a teen, and thinking how messed up it is that they made it seem like it is cool to skip school, goof off during class and so on. While the ones that learned (like Screech and Jessie) were "nerds" and unpopular. What a terrible message to send to young people. When I worked at Burger King as a teen, the teenage guys there would listen to ICP (Insane Clown Posse) everyday, which was some of the most depraved rap I have ever heard. And it's only gotten worse over time. Way back in the day, Gone With the Wind made headlines when audiences were shocked by them saying "damn." When I was a kid, a number of cusswords would give a movie an R rating if they were even said once, and over the years the rating standards get lower and lower. Intellectualism becomes distastful when it is associated with being uptight, pretentious, judgmental, and controlling. But seeing what it's like in the extreme opposite direction, helps to see a more proper balance.

Charlie Chaplin starred in a movie called "The Great Dictator," where he plays basically a Hitler lookalike. It has a great speech in it toward the end, but otherwise it's a forgettable movie. I can only guess that this explains Chaplin's part of the the Time Machine.
While most people say these movie is becoming a documentary, I see lots of references and messages nobody catched up, like how the rehabilitation scene resembles those gladiator battles on Rome (representing how that society evolved centuries backwards!)
