I recorded this video with Mary MacNamara after spending an afternoon with her at her home in Tulla, Co. Clare in September 2023 🎶☘️
🎵 "The Bask Of Turf": This is a three part version of a jig also known as "The Creel of Turf" or "Up Sligo", which is usually played with only 2 parts. There is also a Five-part version that can be found in Breandán Breathnach's Ceol Rince na hÉireann V. This particular version is an East Clare setting that Mary learned locally.
