I eat between 25 to 30 carbs I’ve been losing weight. 81 lbs down so far! YES!
Wow! Congrats! How long did it take you loose that much?
Great job!!
@@frieda1368 Thanks. It's been a little over a year. When I first started I was actually taking in around 50 to 60 grams of carbs. I've tried Atkins before and lost weight too fast. I was dizzy all the time and I ended up gaining all the weight back... and some. Not to mention that I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. So when I started doing Keto, I started off slow and kept my carbs between 50 and 60. It was around December when I started slowly cutting them down towards the 25 to 30 mark. I'm a little scared to go lower because I remember the dizziness I experienced before. I still have a long way to go but its nice to wake up and feel good everyday.
@@LoveAcrossAmerica Thank you so. It's been and continues to be a journey.
@@shippmateproductions respect for your persistence! I lost about 30 lbs with 9 month of keto. Then I fell of the wagon and gained it all back. I really have to get back into ketosis but am full of excuses...
This is why I LOVE you two!!! This is exactly how I do Keto. I have tried tracking my macros and it doesn't work for me. I have lost weight, I am no longer pre-diabetic, and my kidney function is back to normal so I am trilled! Great message from you that Keto isn't an exact science. You are so encouraging!
So happy to hear about your health successes, I know so many will be encouraged by your comment! -Em
@@ketotwins true!
People get too hooked on #'s... Net carbs, ketones, their weight .. then they get frustrated (or worse) and give up. Then "experts" report "Keto is too hard/too limited to be sustained", which is unfortunate. For health reasons, I think keto is really great.
And we beat ourselves up to no end for it! I just know what I have to do, tell myself I'm stronger than I think to help fight the craving, BUT I don't beat myself up anymore if I give in. I now have a goal of 5lbs a month & if I meet it I give myself a treat or 2 then I get right back on track. I don't count, don't check ketones. I have lost 20 so far.
My teenage son asked me to take him to get fastfood. I had a coupon that gave us extra burgers. I was totally trying to justify to myself eating one of the burgers with a bun. Thankfully, I had been watching this video right before we left, and I started watching it again as I was about to eat the burger. Thanks to both of you I made a better choice and got out the lettuce in place of the bun. Best would have been no fast food burger, but they sure smell good!😁 Thanks for saving me from a stupid decision!❤
I really, really love you two. I have been keto-ish and/or full keto for almost two years. I only estimate carbs most of the time. However, at this point I am so glad I seldom feel really hungry and that is the most wonderful feeling I have ever had. I used to feel so hungry I could have eaten anything and everything I could find. That is such an awful feeling, almost obsessed with food. Now I am so in control and that is the best thing about keto. Even if I go off for a day and eat pizza or something like that, I no longer hate myself, and I can go right back to keto again for weeks at a time. Your approach gives me confidence that I am OK with the way I am doing keto. thanks.
I used IF and keto lost 84lbs in 10 months.. 20lbs and I'll hit my goal! Intermittent fasting helped me a loooot with keto, super easy too.
I just hit my weight loss goal today!! And your videos have definitely helped me achieve that goal. I would love for you guys to do a video on how to maintain weight with the keto lifestyle please.
Congrats!!
Congratulations that’s an awesome accomplishment
Thanks everybody😊
That would be very helpful. I am only 9 pounds from my goal. And, congratulations!
I generally stay between 20-30 carbs a day and once in a while I hit 50 carbs but not often. I am 61/2 months into my journey and am down 34 lbs. You have to like what you are doing in order to succeed. I try to stay 20 or less but I have quit stressing over it to much.
Congrats on losing 34 lbs so far Denise, that is so wonderful! -Em
What an encouraging video! Way to support your members!

I don't trac my macros, not even the Carbs, I don't have the patience for that, like I didn't have the patience to trac my calories when I was doing a normal diet pre keto. When I want to lose weight I restrict myself to just eat all types of meat, eggs, and maybe some avocado. This allows me to lose weight without bothering with counting anything. I keep this up until I get to the weight I want and then go back to normal lazy keto
This is my second time around doing keto much easier not tracking anything and intutively eating.I have tried doing macros etc but it just makes me gain weight. Sticking with mostly meat making sure i take electrolytes. I do weigh myself every day.
Thanks for recommending Factor. We just ate our 5th dinner from them and they are wonderful. I just add a little salad and there is a full meal. My hubby loves them too and he is not needing to lose weight. He is keto only because that is what I feed him. Again, I trusted you and you didn’t let me down 😇
I love them as well.
How much does it cost? I have to eat, but, I hate cooking. Because of severe bloating, vomiting bc of bloating, constipation (all my life starting at birth), and, a recent diagnoses of stage one metastatic breast cancer, I started researching foods that kill cancer, reduces inflammation, and, are nutrient dense. Was also pre-diabetic, so I dropped 20 lbs back 2 years ago, and, blood work was showing improvement with slow wt loss. Stopped taking naproxen for inflammation bc of covid, to keep from damaging my liver/kidneys/all other organs, and, had all my teeth pulled after several years of dealing with them. Been doing dirty Keto since June 1st, I've lost around 40 lbs, not been constipated, have only vomited (bloating), once a month, and, joint pain almost non existent except for back pain. Still trying to get rid of this soft ball size bloat that sits in the RMQ of my abd. most days. New problem? I'm depressed, cause I've been most miserably broke since I started, trying to buy healthier foods, and, switch out my pantry for healthier substitutes, and, such, and, now I need my money to buy clothes that are 2+ sizes smaller. Which is a good thing, lol, but, I hate to be seen in public now. This upcoming month I hope to not have to spend so much money on food. How much does the food from Factor cost? Thanks for your help, and, sharing what you did. May God be with you, amen.
Excellent video , there will be days that we are not perfect and that is ok
You two are so motivational with real life recommendations. Excellent message. ☺️ I just recommended my sister to your channel. I know, she will not be discouraged listening to your channel.
24 net carbs is awesome! I use 50 total carbs as my daily goal. I usually eat less, but not a bunch. I test my ketones everyday and I am always in ketosis.
It's a lifestyle, so cut yourself some slack!
Amen. Stress brings on weight gaining cortisol. One day, one meal at a time. My goal is 20 or less net carbs a day. But, sometimes I'm less...sometimes I'm more. Signed, work in progress
Love that Kim! In it for the long term! -Em
Im on virta health through my insurance to get me off of insulin. As such we have to staty under 30 carbs total. On this i check my ketones everyday. I use the keto mojo machine.
Since being on Keto, I have followed 20 TOTAL CARBS daily - weight lost 45 lbs since March 2021.🖤
wow good for you!
@@karenlynn8254 Now lost 75 lbs! 🌸🌸
@@dianafromaustralia3244 congrats! do you have any other tips? i got stuck at a 50-pound loss and finally got to 55 pounds this week. I did it by watching a dozen Keto Twins episodes per day for past ten days! Their antics got me laughing more than I have laughed at home by myself ever!! The Keto Twins' pep talks are amazing.
@@karenlynn8254 I follow Dr Westman’s Page 4 - and do not eat anything that is not on the list.
“Go Keto with Casey” YT channel is great! She’s straight to the point!
Personally, I found the Twins style too generous in Carbs and Cals for what I wanted to lose. They are tall girls. I’m 5’3” and 69 years old.
I only ever made Chaffles once. I thought they were disgusting!
No Keto substitutes either!
I was 92 kg - now 58 kgs - lost 34 kgs!
I’m in France on a 5 week holiday at the moment - I’ve had some great salads! The weather is very warm, so big protein filled salads are a great choice!
I must admit to having a small portion of Baguette since being here. No pastries or cakes though.
I have not had potatoes, rice, or pasta in 20 months!
Diet Indian tonic is my drink of choice.
Keto is the easiest diet/lifestyle plan I’ve ever followed (and I’ve been on a few - WW, Jenny Craig etc).
Good luck with your weight loss journey!🌸🌸
@@dianafromaustralia3244 My friend from Australia did not like many of our Midwest tastes and textures. Nor could I develop a taste for her "vegemite" Lol.... what is that made out of? Enjoy France! I love your channel and you are so right about not beating yourself up over one meal or bad day
aww thank you Linda! We appreciate your support! -Em
I “eyeball” things too. I’ve had weeks where I gained. A lot. It’s generally when I’m eating more than I normally would and I know what to do the next week. I don’t let it bug me anymore when I don’t lose every single week.
Very good advice! When I obsess it leads to giving up and total binging.
This is all the truth about Keto journey thx
Thanks for reminding everyone that Keto doesn’t have to be complicated! 💗
🤗🤗🤗
To me the best way to stop a slide I tell myself MAKE YOUR NEXT KETO! It works no guilt no muss no fuss. I also find if I slow down and log WHATEVER I eat I can see exactly what damage I have done. These 2 things are game changers for me. As well as fasting that really helps my body chill out
Yes, love that mantra! -Em
Great encouraging words! I am so happy with keto. I weigh less than I have in 30 years and I feel no hungry pressure to stop. For me it’s so great. I don’t count carbs except on packaged foods. And then sometimes I eat and sometimes I don’t. And I’m 65 with a slower metabolism. So take heart and give yourself time. I lose a pound or less a week but it adds up!
When I first did the Atkins diet, Induction was torture! There was no such notion as net carbs. It was 20 TOTAL carbs per day, which is incredibly difficult and limiting. Net carbs is like freedom after that. But I did it for over a year and lost 98 lbs. But that wasn’t a sustainable WOE for me once I hit goal and bypassed maintenance ☹️ I held most of the weight off, though, until an in-law came for an extended visit and I started cooking all the rice and potato dishes she liked, along with noodles and legumes and a ton of sweets. By the time she finally went home, I had packed on a good 40-ish lbs. Then getting back on track was yet another challenge I wasn’t prepared for.
All of that to say this: We all have days we do better and days we don’t hit the macro mark. As long as I’m losing, be it ever so slowly, I’m fine with dirty keto, lazy keto, squeaky clean keto-whatever. Even on the low end of nutritional ketosis, there will be progress.
We have had the same experiences, sarah and I have gained hundreds of pounds over the years after losing hundreds of pounds. I guess it’s better than only gaining though! -Em
You two are terrific!! Still looking for a glimpse of those pups!! Take real good care...
I agree completely -- don't stress it, just get back on the routine and keep moving forward (:
i needed the pep talk! you two are great!
Thanks Karen!
That hungry feeling hits me, when I know I am out of ketosis. I will say, TMI, I no longer suffer IBS as a result of keto!
I love the relaxed attitude. You both do so much to make more people successful and healthier. Thanks.
You two are so lovely and down to earth...keep up doing what you are doing❤❤so helpful
Well said ladies! 💃💃Oh my...24 net carbs in the first two weeks. How precious. 🤭🤗 Honey, life has just begun by the first month, and whatever you accomplish the first TWO MONTHS of this lifestyle is MAJOR progress from the standard American diet - and it gets so much easier. This is the most stress free way of eating I've experienced in my 54 years of volatile eating. Keto is so chill, and the ultimate, constant, most delightful journey. Stick to it, trust it, relax🤭, and you will be amazed...
I'm not doing all that fussy stuff, I just don't want to obsess about rules because it tends to be motivated from a sense of shame for me and I find it disempowering. But for some people, they really groove on the structure of hardcore keto and like being able to operationalize their progress, and I get that too. So, like you say all the time, we're all different. I'vve been doing time restricted eating for a couple of months (with lc/hp) and the thing I really like about it is, the rules are so flexible. If I drift out of the 6/18 structure, I just adjust it for the next cycle and I'm cruising along again instantly. For me it doesn't create an all or nothing dichotomy. THis is the first winter holiday season ever that I'm not worrying about how many of my 'favourit' carbs I'm going to load. When one of those images pops into my head, I imagine my liver or gut health taking a blow, and the bloom falls off the rose, lol. But having said that, if it seemed worth it I'd go for it and take healing measures in the aftermath. It's just easier if I don't have to. I love the way you both encourage autonomy and self regulation, really the antidote to self-sabotage and shame. ❤🩹
Noticed since I've been doing keto but pretty lazy that I don't have the digestive upset I used which is really nice everyday I eat something fermented and it seems to regulate my system better concluding sauerkraut or kimchi. What I really think work is fasting. And reducing my body size I think you could eat anything as long as you fast and reduce the size of your body. There are people who become vegetarian that lose weight get rid of diabetes rid of all kinds of problems as long as they fast and reduce the size of their body I used to call that dieting and losing weight but I don't use those terms anymore. Those terms of too much negative connotation I want a positive connotation to describe what I am doing.
That’s a great improvement! -Em
Keto is how I stumbled into what was causing my problems...fructose. Noticed I wasn't having symptoms while on Keto.
I eat 30-40 gr - lost 70 lbs so far …
Amazing!! Love to hear that! -Em
@@ketotwins thanks ♥️🥰 Love your Channel and Insta! A real inspiration for me! Greetings from Germany 👋🏼
Great Advice!! Thank you ❤️
I feel the same way about making it easy. I have been on diets all my life, starting at 5 (I'm 66) Have been keto for almost 5 yrs. In the beginning I tracked but, after awhile I knew what I was eating. People usually eat the same things. I also knew if this was going to be a way of life for me, I wasn't going to make my own mayo or ranch dressing. This is the first time in my life I have been able to maintain my weight loss. Wish my Dr. had told me about it sooner.
Atkins very first Diet Revolution counted total carbs, not net carbs. He did adjust later; however, when I first did his program it was 20 total carbs…which is low. After a couple weeks, I entered into maintenance and settled at around 60 TOTAL carbs … and I felt great. Family issues caused me get back to the old eating pattern.
Over A year ago, I gave up sugar to get my AC1 level down…all sugars - including all fruits. I lost 40 lbs, which was not a part of my goal. My AC1 dropped and I feel good. I use carb manager to track my intake, but I am not religious about it. I still count total carbs and try to keep around 60 total carbs per day. I don’t bake much, but I have a 90-second breakfast muffin that I use frequently… I worry about the use of sugar alcohols … Carb manager says ‘avoid’ ….
We all need to do what works and leave others alone!
The Atkins diet worked for me when I started it in 1977. I lost 100 lbs and kept it off for 25 years. Then I went into depression (long personal story) and gained it back. I am now doing low carb. Just remember Dr Atkins said everyone has a personal carb level. The firts week you can eat all the meat, eggs and mayo that you want. By checking ketone sticks turning purple you know for sure that you are in ketosis. Now add 5 grams of carbs for 4 days, check to see if you are still in ketosis. If you are, add 5 more grames. You do this unitl the ketone stick quits turning purple. Knock off the last 5 grams and you can eat that and continue to lose weight. My tolerance level was 20 grams. My husband tolerance level as 30 grams. After we lost the weight we only had to eat a low carb diet to keep it off. I have not eaten refined sugar since I was 37 years old. Just as in AA. It works if you work it. You girls do a great job and have given me many new recipes. Even an old dog can learn new tricks. Thanks girls.
Great Advise!
I'm going to take it, to determine how my carbs, kick me out of ketosis. THANKS.
I’ve been in my first plateau this week (first stall since starting 2 months ago), and your previous videos on eating keto simply have been really helpful. Thank you Em & Sarah. :)
Thank you so much Catherine, we appreciate that. There were definitely weeks (and months) where we lost nothing but the scale starts moving again and at the end you won’t remember the time when you didn’t lose anything, promise! -Em

20 grams is too difficult for me to stick to. I’ve tried over and over and have failed. This time around I’m just trying to stay low carb in general and not worry about the #. I’ve still lost weight so I’m going to stick to my current plan. We’ll see! 🤷🏼♀️

I have commented before and said that I never tracked anything. This is the easiest and simplest way of eating I've ever adopted. Today after church I felt like taking myself out for a steak. I went to Chili's. Used to be, when I would go to Chili's, I would eat the entire basket and then some of the tortilla chips with salsa. And then I would get some crazy something-or-other that was super carb-heavy. These days when I do it, I get the 10 oz sirloin that's topped with avocado and pesto aioli. It comes with grilled asparagus. And I order a side of bacon. Lovely meal, with enough protein and fat as one of my two meals per day.
You guys are great! Thank you😊
Thank you ladies.

Have you tried Keto Chow? I try to stay below 20 net carbs as a goal everyday. I have slowed down on my weight loss, but slow and steady will eventually get me to my goal. Enjoyed your video. thank you.
I loved the taste of keto chow but for some reason I grew intolerant to something in it! Sarah can drink it with no issues still so who knows, honestly we prefer to eat our food instead of drinks but it does taste delicious! -Em
Totally agree with you guys!!! I do my best and I'm way better than I WAS, so that is something!! Oh BTW, I'd been getting hot at night and when you mentioned that about being out of ketosis and had same thing, I realized OH THAT'S WHY rofl. Yea, I hadn't been SUPER watching myself lately. Also gained 3 lbs so....Yep that had to be it! Thanks Ladies!
You really have to trust the process.Never have checked if blood or urine to see if i am in ketosis. I am down 40 plus pounds since june 2021.
I’ve been keto about 5 or 6 weeks and overall I’ve lost 19 but it’s gone up and down by a couple pounds even still. I am still learning and figuring out the do’s and don’ts and giving myself some grace. I knew going in I was only going to be able to do relaxed or not at all. So far, it has been such an enjoyable adventure! I am having fun with it, watching fun videos (like yours), and learning what works for all this!
For example, once a week my sis and I meet at my mom’s to eat and visit and play games. Obviously I can’t eat like they do anymore though they always try to make the main course keto friendly. I don’t expect them to do the desert (or actually any of it) for me so I make or bring my own. Yesterday I made myself a desert, just a simple chocolate crunch bar of pork rinds and lily’s chocolate with a bit of sweetener. I just made it up so wasn’t sure what to add and turns out I think I used more ingredients than I needed, so net carbs were way higher than they needed to be. Next time I will only use 4 T Lily’s chips, only 1T of powdered Swerve, 20ish drops of liquid stevia, a1T ghee, and NO cocoa powder. I melted all that and mixed with crushed pork rinds and refrigerated the bars. But I thought it was delish! They were impressed with the candy bar. Even more than that, they LOVED the chaffles!!! I normally use your recipe but forgot to take the almond flour so I used more of the crushed pork rinds and no baking powder and they were good! Not as good as yours, granted, but my mom and sis loved them too!
Anywho, I just love doing this, living this lifestyle now, and the most fun to me is trying to find subs to work in place of non-keto foods and meals for our visits! Love eating like I’m a normal person but knowing it’s good for me! Love this learning adventure! Love y’all!
❤️❤️ great job Leslie, that’s incredible progress! Love that you are getting creative with keto-Em

Thank you for this video. I am just starting on OMAD and lowering carbs. No sugar for 49 days, and I needed this today.
Everything you two said is SPOT ON!!! Love your advice even though I've been keto for over four years. Keeps reminding me I'm just like everyone else on this life saving keto lifestyle.
Good points. Tha.ks for the motivation
Repeat & rinse and do not punish yourself . Do not give up but brush yourself off and start again and keep it moving and motivated to reach weight loss goal and most importantly to maintain it for life . This is a lifestyle and not a diet . Balance your carb intake & find the amount of carbs it will take to maintain weight . Everyone is different .
So glad I found your channel.

I’m finding many of your year-old vids on my suggestions the past few days and I’m excited. This one, the ‘loose skin’ vid, the one about the psych reasons why I’ll quit keto (or any diet)…very helpful. Im so afraid to eat more carbs than I should. I feel better. 💋💋
Thanks so much SueEllen, we plan to do more of these videos soon!
It's five months I'm into Omad "relaxing" keto, I've never tracked my macros, never checked my ketones , I eyeball my dishes too, I'm always for the quality of food, especially about carbs... I've lost 26kg so far (57 lbs) and I'm less than 10 lbs far from my ideal weight, for the last four weeks I didn't loose anything in terms of scale but I've lost a lot in terms of cm (inches) ! The pair of slim fit jeans I've bought last month, well they're already a bit baggy on me, I'm sure I'm another size down even if I weigh basically the same and this is amazing! I think I will get rid off my scale soon, I will trust only my face and body changes from now on 👍

This is so true ladies; I reached my goals 3x in 10 years and gained it all back because maintenance is almost like a whole new game. Achieving that balance - not to be too strict, enjoy, but still watch out if the pants becomes tight, and not to throw in the towel after you cross the line 1 or 2 times is definitely a good advice. The all-or-nothing approach is a sure way to failure it seems. Tough lessons. I'm glad I found your channel as inspiration while I'm restarting my keto lifestyle. 😘
I first tried keto about 1 year ago the whole thing. Carb manager and writing everything down. It was exhausting. I gave up. I can’t do that. So I’m back on. No tracker just looking at ingredients and meat and fat and some vegetables. I love it I found your channel!! Subbed 😊❤️
Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your thoughts, inspiration, real-life experience- very helpful - and your humor!
We appreciate you watching and commenting! Thank you!! -Em
I’m so glad I came across your channel I have been debating going back on keto but after watching some of your videos you have helped inspire me to do it.😊
I love the quality and taste of factor, but even their “keto” meals have a lot of carbs. The minimum I’ve seen is 13. So you have to be super mindful of your carb intake the rest of your day. Especially if you are just starting out and want to stay below 20 net carbs for your first few months.
13 is too high for 1 meal. They should get down into single digits to get my atten.
Right? My meal tonight was 19 carbs, so I did not eat the cauliflower. I do really well around 50 carbs and have lost around 40 pounds so far. Loving the keto!
A lot of "keto" labeling is just marketing. Also, it depends on what you consider a meal. Healthy Choice chicken and broccoli alfredo is only 4 net carbs. And there are a couple others like Pesto chicken without many more.
@@hermesten1000 Good point. A lot of companies r jumping on band wagon but might still have 15 carbs in a single $$$ meal. Weird. "Keto" ketchup costs $7.99. Seems it costs an extra $3 for them to leave the sugar or HFCS out. 🤔
I did not realize Health Choice has low carb meals. Will try some. Nice to have fast grocery frozen meal options esp bc I no longer eat out.
@@beverlycharles6534 They have maybe 3...the chicken pesto, the chicken broccoli alfredo, down in the 3 to 6 range, and a chicken veggie stir fry which I think nets out at about 11. Lean Cuisine Steak Portabella is 7 carbs. Those about about the only ones in the 10 and under carb range we've found and consider edible.
Yeah, I’m one who needs to eat even fewer than 20 to have success. It’s depressing.
I’m so sorry you feel that way!! I’m admittedly a noob but I am enjoying this so much! I love trying new ways of prepping foods to sub in for foods I can’t have anymore, and honestly I don’t really miss anything! I have sweets, just not with actual sugar, I have breads, just not with wheat flour, I will get to have pasta when my lupin flour comes in, it’s just amazing to me how “normally” I can eat, and how MUCH I can eat in this lifestyle!! 6 weeks in and down 19 pounds-ish. It does fluctuate, but I think that’s bc I’m still learning and only doing a quite relaxed approach. I hope you continue to keep at it and it becomes less depressing for you!
A relaxed keto lifestyle works for me ... wine included ;)
That was an awesome video! I’ve learned from THM (trim healthy moma’s) that if you mess up wait for 3 hours & start over making better choices. That has helped me sooo much. God created us all different so do what makes sense to you & your life. You/we are created to be a blessing & YOU/WE ARE A BLESSING!!!!
I am thankful for learning why it is I am hungry so early…..I’m out of ketosis! Thank you! 🤗💞
Mark’s Daily Apple says some can stay in low grade ketosis if they eat 100 or less carbs a day. So don’t stress it too much if you go a little over, you’ll likely be fine.
great advice!
Net carbs...I wish. 😆
I've been eating 20 TOTAL carbs on keto days and 10 on PSMF days. It's a struggle, for sure, but it's definitely working for me.
Thank you for the encouragement. Love your channel ♡♡
Thank you so much Lori! We appreciate your support! -Em
I love you guys, I bet your grandma is so proud of you!..
I’m a grandma and also sooo proud of my grandkids.
…You have helped me lose over 38 pounds , lower my pre diabetic A1C, (and hope to get rid of this diagnosis)…
Also Doc says , I am almost ready to get rid of my blood pressure med, (and already have halved it twice!)
I am almost 70, and walk a lot, ….when before I was not feeling the energy to do that!….
I do not count carbs, but Usually stay away from them… Luckyly,
I never eat sweetners or sugar since my pre diabetes, diagnosis, and now never crave sweet things, also I use greens for filler or for a “ bed” for my proteins and healthy fats/ oils.
My chaffkes are cheese and egg and no filler or pork rinds, with lots of fun seasonings.
I live in a hot weather climate, so salads rock, and fresh caught fish and even smoked fish, from what we catch are pretty awesome..
…Sometimes if I am in a hurry, (or budget stretched), I will open two cans of smoked herring in olive oil… (no carbs) read labels and they are 1dollar for 3.53 Oz ( that’s over 6 ounces!)…and have that on greens or just by itself.
Thank you again!👍❤️
Yay! Congrats on losing 38 lbs, that’s amazing! Thanks for watching our channel Kathy 🤗 -Sarah
I tried the keto diet all in and reached medium ketosis for 3 months but my body digestive system didn't get on with the low carbs which I got down to between 10-20 net carbs with intermittent fasting. I'm staying with the low carb bit as far as poss but had to lower the fat content too. Portion control is also important to watch! In my case I am allergic and intolerant to may foods which doesn't help. I have no refined sugar in the house and have altered my diet and learnt alot about good fats and bad and carbs. Also am addicted to cheese now 😉
They taste incredible!
The stress of worrying over a few extra net carbs will pack on the pounds way more than those few carbs themselves. Cortisol and how it influences weight gain is a legit phenomena. Taking time to destress and do breathing exercises every day and not hyper-focussing on the few extra carbs will take anyone's weight-loss farther than sticking exactly to 20 net carbs. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Keeping under 20 carbs a day isn’t too hard for me-the DRAMATIC change in my A1c keeps me honest!🤓Nope; what discourages me is my S-L-O-W to often non-existent weight loss. I lost the first 50 lbs in 14 months and now…glaciers are faster than my weight loss. Between the Metabolic Syndrome and my over-60 body, this just takes time. And I have to try really, really REALLY hard not to be jealous of (or want to bitch-slap!) these people who lose 10-20 lbs in a month LOL! You two give me perspective and help keep me real and motivated-THANK YOU!!!
Oh Yeah, the fact that I’ve been diabetic for more than 30 years and no longer produce my own insulin doesn’t help either…
Adore Adore you both. This is such my mind set.
🤗🤗 thank you Rebecca! -Em
Very encouraging and uplifting video. Thanks for sharing!
I've been using Factor for about a month based on your sponsored video. The recipes are pretty damn good and carb manager app usually has the meal in their directory already. That green peppercorn roasted pork was lick the tray good; not suggesting that I actually did lick the tray 😅
I cannot find these meals on Carb Manager. Obvi, I am doing something wrong. I’ve searched Factor, F_, Go Factor 75 and nothing populates. Would you share how you locate the Factor meals? TYIA!🌻
@@PeriWinkle33957 I usually type in the meal name and find it that way. I noticed that using "Factor 75" will pull it up at a 75 serving calculation. I hope that helps!
@@jax_08 TY! Yes, I had that happen too 75 La Tortilla Factory tortillas!😂🙃
The first 8 months I was so strict. I now monitor with a carb manager app but I don’t test my blood. Most days I have 20-30 carbs. I have lost 35 pounds in 19 months and reached my goal. I don’t beat myself up if I hit a high carb day(over 35 upto 50). It’s life. I have maintained and love keto! Thanks guys!
Congrats on reaching your goal! -Em
Thank you both for clearing this up! I was wondering about it.
I found your videos awhile back. This one is awesome. I try try not to beat myself up. I am on a hormone blocker. That little pill puts me into a menopause state. I am not losing weight but I am losing size? Everyday I make myself stay with it because even though I am not losing, I am not gaining. This helps me keep a little more positive Thankyou
I've really been wanting to try Factor for my work lunches, thanks for the review.
Love it! Great advice!
I find my hunger fluctuates all the time regardless. I can go a carb or two over one day and be hardly hungry the next day where I can eat maybe 6 carbs in a day and be starving the moment I wake up the next day OR visa verse. Last time I tried keto I failed because I was so hung up on numbers and how others feel. This time I just eat if I am hungry (but I generally drink something and even perhaps have some salt and wait a few to see if I’m actually hungry or not). If I’m not hungry I try not to eat. Sometimes I do just because it’s meal time but I usually stop after a few bites because I wasn’t hungry so I’m learning to trust myself. I’ve gone to breakfast with friends and not even felt the need to eat. I’ve gone shopping and been ok to not eat until home and everything away. I’ve also learned never to force myself to fast. It doesn’t help me to make myself suffer with hunger.
