Great respect to Daniel from Tumbleweed. Wow! Did he came down all the way from Idaho to bring a Rohloff equipped bike? Wish him and his wife all the best in their business. And of course best video so far. Love the desert. Thanks to both of you.
He originally offered to drive much further to meet us on the Oregon coast! We thought the Tumbleweed meeting would be much more appropriate in the desert though haha. Really great people and we are so fortunate and proud to be representing them
I have to say, i have really fallen in love with Victoria throughout these videos. She always has such a positive character and its so refreshing. I don't know really how to word it but to me, she just embodies what it truly is to be a woman. She just has such a strong and powerful feminine energy. It's so inspiring to watch her push through all of her hard moments and still be so positive and funny. You guys made such a great team and i absolutely love your videos.
At the end, you really should re-edit all hours together and submit to film festival somewhere. It is absolutely enthralling. Congratulations to Victoria for her courage and determination. I am glad to read you are staying in one place during the heat.
Thank you for making us part of your journey (at least, feel like it). 30 minutes just flew by and can't wait for the next upload. Wish you health wherever you are =)
When Victoria had such a huge smile struggling through the mud, I thought nothing could bring her down. But clearly, she's actually human, too. That looked like a brutal slog. I hope that you're having more happy days than hard days on this adventure.
Growing up in Nevada for 12 years, living in Jarbridge, Mt. City, Ely and Austin. Dad was a Forest Ranger. Moving to Moab people thought we came from the desert. Never thought of Nevada as a desert but Utah, that is a desert. The thing is, in Nevada you have North to South mountain ranges about 30 miles apart. There are canyons with creeks and trout. There are pinion pines with lots of pine nuts. There were Aspen, Spruce, Birch, Willow, berries and there are deer everywhere. Lots of sledding in the hills as well as ice skating in the numerous shallow lakes in the valleys. In Austin at winter time we would hook up to the back end of the Hiskey Stage Truck. He would pull us to the summit and we could slide back home. Often at night with moonlight. Our playhouses were old mines and mills or deserted houses. You never had to carry a canteen or food for your horse and you were always a welcome guest at the ranches and mining camps. Iguana
What you are going through in this episode is EXACTLY why I love and cherish every chance I get to bike pack. There are insane obstacle that must be overcome, and many of them are emotional and in your mind. You know how much water you have, you know how much food, and therefore you know exactly where you need to get to to make it work - yet your body, and spirit are broken and your mind has a moment of clarity and you just focus on the next checkpoint and you get there. To me it's the closest we are ever going to come to traversing the world the way pioneers did, and just roll out into what ever may come - and when I finally get to my destination and look at the totally of it I feel accomplished and humbled.
I love Victoria. Her drive to complete this ride is admirable and her accent is so sweet. I love watching her videos too. Keep going girl, you’ve got this!
Wow, great episode! As a cyclist myself, I was wondering how you two get those fully loaded bikes up mountains. And then I saw the mud! And that headwind! Really admire your tenacity and grit. Chapeau to you both!
Greg & Victoria - I've been following along from the start & finally had to say something. Incredible adventures - such an inspiration. I must say your last few episodes have really hit me in the right spot - inspiring me to dream up my next adventure! I wish you safe journeys and fair weather!
I KNEW there is a reason I have been an REI member since 1967. They have helped me out over the years and now I find they were destined to help you guys out with that failed tent. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure.
Great video! After spending over 30 years in private industry as a geologist, I worked as the Fluid Minerals Program Manager for the Nevada Division of Minerals for 12 1/2 years (retired a bit over two years ago), where I was the Nevada state regulator for oil, gas, geothermal, and lithium brines. Through that time, I traveled on all of the roads you showed in the video, as well as throughout Nevada. Nevada has some incredible scenery, especially when you are on the gravel/dirt back-roads that transect the state.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I really appreciate how much you both have shared your moments of doubt and pain along the way - - often our stories of travels that we tell or see of others are only the triumphant moments, but there are so many low moments too - and they only make the good ones that much sweeter.
Great stuff. I've driven that stretch of the Nevada desert. It's some of the most remote stretches of road in the lower 48 States. No services for hundreds of miles at a time. I was nervous to do it by car alone and you guys traveled by bicycle.😮 Big respect. The bikes look great. 👍🏼 Keep going and stay safe! 🤙🏼
I’m so glad RUclips recommended the first episode to me when it came out. I’ve been hooked ever since. The editing is great and the music fits perfectly as well!
Such a good video! I think this has become my favorite! Great storytelling, and the way you captured the landscapes, well, I felt like I could feel them myself. So glad to see Victoria has her own Prospector. You both and Tumbleweed make a great team. Stay safe! .... Ciao!
Hello Greg, first of all Happy B-day!!! Ok, once again, thank you very, very, very much for your videos. It's awesome to see both of you enjoying this great adventure. The shots are totally awesome, from the snowy towns, up to the jets. Tell Victoria that she might be a little crazy, but she is awesome as well, Thank You BOTH. Keep having fun and stay safe. Greetings from Mexico. Hugs and Kisses to both of you!!!
So impressed and jealous of your tenacity, your dedication, your love and attitudes. The quality of your videos are top notch! Thank you so much for sharing.
I've loved every video, but this one is my favorite one yet. It really made me want to get back on trail (I'm more of a backpacker than a biker) for a long thru-hike. Seeing you both push through that really tough headwind--especially on a tough period day, well done Victoria--was really inspirational. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Thank you for showing your travels of places many of us will never personally go to in a lifetime. Thank you for showing the truths of your experiences along the way, both good times and the times which require getting through the struggles. It is nothing less than inspirational.
Excellent episode u 2👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I love the transparency of it all. Wow, amazing landscape!!!! Thank you for your time and efforts in sharing this with us!!! Safe travels 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Such an incredible video yet again. Editing, story arc, balance of action shots and narration are all great! Also you did such an incredible job to find these dirt trail roads through Nevada, your route planning is so good!
So cool Tumbleweed gave you new bikes and gear! I know they benefit at the mention, but thats such a game changer in the middle of ride. All the best guys. So inspiring.
Hi Victoria and Daniel, it was very beautiful watching you two diving through Nevada Desert with bike, I wish you two the best and God bless you all. ❤❤
I was really feeling for you on that final windy stretch! Appreciate you showing the hard moments too. I especially loved seeing what you're eating. Can't wait for the next one!!
Absolutely love when these videos pop up on my youtube! So good to watch the journey and I think the editing just keeps getting better and better! Really stokes the fire to get out and do some more trips on my bike too. So thank you for the videos!
Great one, Greg! You guys have a blast out there. And we all have to thank Daniel to offer you those wonderful bikes. Now Victoria is riding the exact same bike like myself, just with a different color scheme of bags. I can so feel you, and the pain you had in the headwinds. Last year I had a similar experience in Washington State around the Hartford site......riding between nuclear power plants and beautiful nature at walking speed against the wind. Crazy how this drains your legs and brain. THANKS Greg & Victoria for letting us all join your trip. Keep it and and stay safe. And thanks again to Daniel from Tumbleweed to be so generous!
It‘s so much fun watching your videos. I really enjoyed that episode. It is always special to see someone crossing a route I once took. I cycled route 50 west to east through Nevada, but I didn’t recognize anything from the short intersect of routes. In case you ever make it to Europe I‘d be honored to host you or ride with you.
this was probably my favorite episode yet--you're both incredible!! the clip of Victoria with her bike stuck in the mud made me tear up from laughing. the desert is truly a magical place
I loved episode 7 as well but this one blew it away, I loved it, 30 mins as well was just fantastic, would love a 1hr one but I know the strain that would put you under. Loving the journey and can't wait for the next posting.
Wow, that was tough. Your resilience is invigorating. Sometimes I'm jealous of your journey and sometimes I'm not. The snow is not something I would enjoy. Well done Victoria for not giving up. You're a tough cookie. Great scenery. Thank you Greg.
Can't say enough about my Tumbleweed Stargazer. Just returned from a 8 day bikepacking ride camping every night and fully loaded in Northern California. I've had a fantastic experience since I first reached out to Daniel about sizing and drivetrains. Keep the great videos coming!
Having recently discovered the world of Bike Packing, I’ve watched a lot of videos on RUclips and enjoyed them, but last night I found your channel and ended up glued to the screen and watched them all back to back and I absolutely loved them. I’ve never met anyone who can deal with the adversity that both of you deal with, yet I don’t think I heard you moan once. Not only are you a pleasure to watch, but you’re both an inspiration to both bike packing and mankind in your attitudes and the story you are telling. You should be on Netflix! Absolutely cannot wait for the next episode, and if you can make them longer, it would be amazing. Stay safe and thank you for sharing your story!
Wow! Unbelievable grit and determination. You both should be so proud of yourselves for sticking with this under difficult circumstances. Very inspiring for sure.
Just randomly stumbled upon your channel today and binged the whole series! I was super stoked when I realized Victoria was riding a Stargazer in the second video. Then even more so after seeing what Daniel did to help the effort! I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures!
Great respect to Daniel from Tumbleweed. Wow! Did he came down all the way from Idaho to bring a Rohloff equipped bike? Wish him and his wife all the best in their business. And of course best video so far. Love the desert. Thanks to both of you.

Victoria if I was in your shoes my melt down would be huge too. Your doing great
I've been a fu-king idiot on several occasions myself !
when I go hiking I ask myself the same question😂
I have to say, i have really fallen in love with Victoria throughout these videos. She always has such a positive character and its so refreshing. Me too.. i am falling hard for her.. lil bit sad cause she is not continuing the journey to argentina..😢
At the end, you really should re-edit all hours together and submit to film festival somewhere. It is absolutely enthralling. Congratulations to Victoria for her courage and determination. I am glad to read you are staying in one place during the heat.
thats a good idea! I'm keeping all the footage safe so I would love to be able to do something like that one day
Thank you for making us part of your journey (at least, feel like it). 30 minutes just flew by and can't wait for the next upload. Wish you health wherever you are =)
Thank you so much for watching, and the kind words! Writing this from Chihuahua, Mexico :)
When Victoria had such a huge smile struggling through the mud, I thought nothing could bring her down. But clearly, she's actually human, too. That looked like a brutal slog. I hope that you're having more happy days than hard days on this adventure.
Tumbleweed is such a grassroots company. Their bikes seem amazing. If I ever do a journey like this, I hope to get one of their bikes.
100%
Great job pushing through girl you are so mentally strong watching you push through pain and headwinds is inspiring :)
Stunning. You have captured the essence and feeling of the high desert in winter. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it and much appreciated!

You guys are amazing. Headwinds can feel so heavy! You are doing it!!!! Proud of you!!!
Wow, great episode! As a cyclist myself, I was wondering how you two get those fully loaded bikes up mountains. And then I saw the mud! And that headwind! Really admire your tenacity and grit. Chapeau to you both!
Haha there is always a price to pay to earn those beautiful views! Cheers Steve!
What an experience. At 66 I can feel my hips ache from pedaling. What physical endurance. Incredible! Great video! Thanks so much!
Try getting a bike fit, it can do miracles
Thank you for recording during the headwind. I know how easy it is not to record that❕

Awesome of Daniel from Tumbleweed to support this, great stuff.
I loved episode 7 as well but this one blew it away, I loved it, 30 mins as well was just fantastic, would love a 1hr one but I know the strain that would put you under. Loving the journey and can't wait for the next posting.
Cheers Robert! Glad you enjoyed it. Who knows on 1hr, maybe one day!
Wow, that was tough. Your resilience is invigorating. Sometimes I'm jealous of your journey and sometimes I'm not. The snow is not something I would enjoy. Well done Victoria for not giving up. You're a tough cookie. Great scenery. Thank you Greg.
Thanks Robert! So glad you liked it - riding in conditions like that is definitely not for everyone but she is as hardcore as it gets

Can't say enough about my Tumbleweed Stargazer. Just returned from a 8 day bikepacking ride camping every night and fully loaded in Northern California. I've had a fantastic experience since I first reached out to Daniel about sizing and drivetrains. Keep the great videos coming!
Oh man I feelfor you guys in that mud. How dreadful! Glad it snowed.
I didn't think we'd ever be happy for an overnight snowstorm!
You make me want to get out there adventuring on my bike. Much power to you Victoria for pushing through this!

Northern Nevada is undiscovered beauty. Thanks for sharing your adventure!

Thoroughly enjoyed this one guys! Lots of type 1 fun and even some type 2 fun thrown into the mix. Lovely scenery and good tunes.
