What a beautiful video. Thanks for putting so much effort into sharing your experiences and highlighting the kindness of the people you meet along the road. It is very grounding. I think travel (especially the way you do it) is important in our globalised world. It helps adjust ones - often negative - perception of the world to a more real image. People are mostly good and willing to help, share and connect. Keep it up!
We completely agree. Most news headlines portray a bleak picture of the world. There's bad things happening, no doubt. Though in essence we feel people are good and there are happening many beautiful and positive things simultaneously. With our video's we hope to give a more balanced perspective. Thank you so much 🙏
Dear Eric and Maudi, I don't know what to say, because each time, I am touched by the emotions you are experiencing, your sensitivity to the environment and the way you look at it. You are humble and reveal a human dimension in your travels that cannot leave anyone indifferent. Thank you for this intense moment! I wish you many more beautiful encounters ^^
Maudi's description of the moments that were not videoed was far better than any pictures could tell. Her voice and expression conveyed so much of the warmth and love felt between you both and the family. God bless you for sharing your journey, it allows those of use who are unable to do such things to go with you in our hearts and minds. God bless and keep you, Amen.
Hii guys,,, big up to the incredible family that hosted you in their house,,no matter how little they had, they willing to share with you,, what's the name of the village???
Wow! Such an experience. Cycling in such a barren place, then coming across two semi-wild donkeys at the water hole and finally meeting this lovely family in this small village. I feel almost overwhelmed just watching the video.
Thank you for sharing your experiences through these videos. It is almost impossible for many of us, especially me to ever have time or resources to go to these places by bicycle and actually experience first hand such warmth and love shown by the natives of faraway places. Deeply appreciate all the time and effort that you put into making these beautiful videos. Atb, That Travelling Guy…
Thanks you so much for your beautiful words... 🙏 We sincerely hope you will find the time and resources to make a similar tour one day. You don't need to go far away to experience beautiful places and meet wonderful people!
Your videos are made with such care and creativity and you're both great presenters too! A window on the world via two wheels! Look forward to the next instalment. Happy cycling!
Oh my God! What a beautiful video. Thank you Eric and Maudi. What an experience you had with Ahmed and Sara. I think you were blessed to meet them but I must also say that they too were blessed to meet you two. Just gorgeous. I could not help having tears in my eyes at your parting company. Just beautiful. Michael from Ireland
Yes, the morning sun blessed you on your way, just as the two of you bless all of us with your beautiful videos and your dauntless energy. Long may you run 🎶
Hats off to you both, I‘m all for adventure, but the Sahara on a bicycle, man that is another whole level. Being able to carry enough water and not knowing where the next source would be would be a serious worry, like life and death worry, later travels could find your desiccated remains!!!😮
Maudi, Eric, I have tears in my eyes. I know what you mean from personal experience about how the pictures don't do justice to a place's beauty. But this film does do a fantastic job of conveying how deeply you were moved by your experience in this place, especially with the family at the end. And, frankly, the images were pretty fantastic too! Thank you for sharing. It's truly wonderful to ride along with you as you explore the world and become ever better filmmakers along the way. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: Can't wait for the feature-length documentary! :)
This wonderful and very human video should be shown in schools to remove fear of end of oil for next generation. Spending holidays by bicycle keeps you healthy, close to nature and the ones living around. Obviously because of lower speed we’ll need twice the time in days off 😁. Thank you E&M you hardly show your love to each other but we can feel it so much, you are an exception in this world. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Haha, absolutely! Mandatory coffee breaks & midday naps! And thank you, that would be very nice if our video, or similar video's would be shown to reduce fear of other people and cultures. Your comment made me think, don't we do that? Well, in any case I'm glad that our undeniable love for each other shines through 😊
What a wonderful video and wonderful experience! The landscape and the human interactions that you share are a continuing inspiration. I particularly loved the interactions with the girls drawing in your notebook, and cooking the flatbread in the open fire oven. Thank you for continuing to share your travel adventures.
You two make these videos so interesting to watch. It probably has something to do with how you approach people. In this positive way you also get something back. The viewer of these videos also feels this. Thanks - have a good time - take care!
Thank you for sharing what you could of your time with the family. It is good to see real interaction with people who live differently than we do. What an interesting place.😊
That specialness with the family really showed. It was a heart thing. I love that you find such beauty in the world and share it with us all. Thank you 🫶🏻
What an emotional episode - hospitality from the heart, not for money. Not easily forgotten, ever. You are blessed to have experienced it. Take care and go safely !
Hi Maudi and Eric. I can imagine this part of your route must be truly among the list of highlights of your Morocco journey so far. What a landscape. Breathtakingly beautiful. And the stay with the hospitable Berber family. This will stay in your hearts forever. We still remember families from our 1985 cycle trip in former Yugosla via and Greece. Thank you once more for your beautiful video.
Wow - what a wonderful cultural experience with Ahmed and Zara and their family!! You both have the kind of personality and energy that seems to bring out the best in the people you meet, without the need for language. And they must be very special people as well to open their hearts and home with such love to both of you. Those must be the moments that make the journey so sweet for you. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you Mark 😊 These types of encounters are very dear to us. Lovely to hear you enjoyed our capture of the experience! Wishing you all the Best, E&M
You always capture the beauty of your travels so well and thank you for doing that and sharing with us. Not only the incredible scenery but the true beauty of sharing with others that you meet, it is always those who have the least that are the most welcoming and it gives us all a true lesson in humanity ❤
Beatiful how the family asked you to stay primitive like the old days. Yes people live like this. Don't be sad be grateful we can live without many things in life we can survive. People think they Need this and that But Do We Really. They don't, I don't life is beautiful. With out luxury items Simple life hard but you get used to it. Beautiful clip Maudie and Eric you are Speacial People you are Beautiful Souls Thank Your Parents for me k. .Humbling experience for sure.❤
Just the purest distillation of traveling for the experience and immersion into the local culture! Every video seems to surpass the last. The intimacy and raw emotion each video contains is mesmerizing. Amazing film-making!
People are always like "How do you ride like that?" Like it's so impossible. So I send them your videos. (Another option for New Englanders here is sending them Fat tire riders in Alaska at -40 below.) Jaw dropping, mind blowing.
Another extraordinary video. You guys have real guts as some of your route looked sooo rough. Eric bringing up the water just for the donkeys expresses so well the beautiful spirits you are. And that visit with the family was just amazing and even from what you filmed I could tell that it was a very special moment on your trip. We could all learn so much from the warmth and generous hospitality of these small communities. Thank you again so much for sharing this amazing journey with us.
Hello, Your adventures are amazing. I loved that you chose to put the camera away at times and just enjoy the moment. It is so cool when we get to experience other cultures and understand how they live day to day. How fortunate you must feel in those moments. Carmen from Fargo, ND
It’s so amazing how you all set up the long distance shots. This is really professional quality done by only two people and not an entire crew. You deserve all the accolades.

I agree, stronger and more beautiful images, good stories.
I hitched hiked through the Sahara in the 1980s and I've always wanted to go back!
Also a really cool way to experience the desert! Now we have experienced it we also want to go back some day 😉 All the best!
