- As we go deeper into the Sahara Desert, the weather keeps on changing moods. The wind picks up and a gloomy haze starts to engulf us. We ride on an unbelievably rocky track that saps our energy like nothing before. The landscape is magnificent though, and we find a breathtaking campsite under the wide open sky. The going keeps on being tough and we are confronted with an important choice! The beautiful and clear afternoon suddenly changes on a dime when a fast moving wall of sand approaches...

Going through these tough conditions is one thing but filming it all at the same time is really something else. I have a lot of respect and thank you for showing us these incredibly remote places so cinematically. What an adventure!
Thanks so much Geert 😊 Wishing you all the best, E&M
More rock that's why it was probably called MOROCCO 😂😂
Ha hA!
Haha brilliant
😉 Greetings from Casablanca Morocco
Nice one 😆
😂😂😂
To you both tough guys
This video has brought so many memories back to me of the Moroccan Sahara when I wandered there with my wife back in 1970 as two rather young and naive backpackers. Your filming and narrative as always conjures up the real experience you are going through. Certainly no hiding away from nature’s brutal landscape .
Such compelling viewing. Two modern day travellers in the vein of Thesiger and Burton etc.
These are very good videos. Well done
Take care
Anthony
Love to hear that it brought you back to your own travels! Thank you for the kind words about our endeavours. We walk in the footsteps of those great explorers and even that can be quite challenging. Wishing you all the very best, E&M
What a fantastic experience! For me, the best bike tour channel on RUclips. Likeable and authentic. Thanks for taking me along.
Thanks 😊 All the Best, E&M
Absolutely stunning guys...what an experience ! I'm sure it was painful for you both but SO worthwhile...Amazing ! Thanks for taking me along...WOWZA !
Thanks 😊 Happy we could take you along! All the best, E&M
Just seeing you go through that and coming out positive after those enormous challenges. It leaves me speechless
I’m not sure what to say, as I watch this from my hopeless slack-ass chair eating ice cream from the container… Epic.
Sounds relaxing and tasty 😉
Thanks so much for letting me come along with you!
Because it's amazing.
I was beginning to really worry about you two! It had been quite a while since your last video when you took of into the desert. So glad to see you´re both safe . What an incredible adventure you had this time. Stay safe and keep on wandering!
Greetings to you from Morocco. My name is Bouhadidi Noureddine, and I live in the city of Berkane
KEEPSAFE AND ENJOY! REST IF TIRED...SLOWMOVING IS THE BEST,FEELING THE ROAD..BE ALERT TOO!
Thanks 😊 Some good advice! All the Best, E&M
Wauw, respect voor jullie en wat een geweldig avontuur!!!!
Going to Sahara without pair of goggles it's quite a mistake. Greeting from Casablanca
We learned a lesson 😉
Even in the middle of the desert you can find a generous Moroccan offering you tea❤
Your films have their own consistent and unique rhythm, making them uniquely yours.
Very cool to hear! Thanks for that 😊 All the best!!
Amazing images. The sun; the stars; the sand; and the overall desolate landscape. Incredible. I tip my hat (cycling helmet) to the two of you.
Thank you so much Martin 😊 All the Best, E&M
You guys are absolutely crazy.. but that craziness got me in awe.. and thinking life is so wonderful in so many ways..
Wow, what an adventure! I like your filming. In such conditions it's hard work and probably not so good for gear. I like the scene with "half Maudi" at 18:20 where she floats ghostly through the sand. You are two tough guys! Thanks for this video!
You are really a great couple! Congratulations to have succeeded this challenge! May you get much relaxing and enjoying time afterwards!
Muy hermosa aventura saludos desde CHILE
Gracias Jose 💪🏼 Saludos, E&M
Prince Eric and Maudi, the Tower of Power, are truly next level. Compassion and courage coming at you on two wheels - so inspiring and wonderful
🙏🏼 Thank you for the uplifting words!!
@@WheelstoWander and thank you for your beautiful, uplifting work!
Wow, this video kept me glued to my screen. That was more than I would've endured, and in fact, I wouldn't even try that crossing in 4WD vehicle or on a motorcycle. Also, I'm glad to see that you helped out those two kids at the very beginning.
That is wonderful to hear 😊 It sure was bumpy!! Thank you & All the best, E&M
That looked hard going! I've occassionally got sandblasted walking along the beach but experiencing it out in the middle of a desert must be quite scary. Well done both of you!
I always forget how challenging nature can be until it unfolds before your eyes. So difficult but beautiful at the same time. Impressive you both got through this with a positive attitude.
Nature is quite relentless when the time comes. We are but mere spectators. Thanks 🙏🏼 All the best, E&M
You are both so amazing. What an epic adventure. Another well done video and so much attention to detail. Thank you so much and take care, Al
Thanks so much Al! Tough going but we loved every minute of it. We hope you are doing good! E&M
Alles goed gezandstraald! Wat een bar avontuur, prachtige beelden.
Absolutely insane, that must have been tough beyond belief! Think that’s why somebody decided to invent trains and put dining cars on them, now that is the kind of holiday you surely have both earned after that lot!
That was some of the toughest conditions anyone could experience on a bike, well done guys for perseverence👍What an adventure, so beautiful but gruelling beyond words! You are both stronger than anyone I know, mentally and physically👍This series is fantastic, I can't wait to see the next episode with excitement and trepidation!😬
Happy to hear you enjoy the series so much! Morocco has been amazing 😊 Wishing you all the best, E&M
Tough riding indeed! I have been in the desert in Australia but we have a bit more vegetation adapted to grow in our deserts. I have also been in sandstorms, including one that really was a wall of sand. One thing, sand in tents. This is one reason why we use solid fabric inner tents. The mesh inners that many people use tend to be a flawed concept - not a double-wall for insulation in the cold, and definitely a bad choice for sand and dust of the dry lands. The wind will just cover your gear inside the tent with sand! Much better to have a closed tent that can be ventilated when you need it in hot conditions, but keep the sand out and warmth in when that is required.
Yikes! Hard core trip guys. So cool this video, the location, the conditions even the colours of your clothes and helmets, haha, everything very cool! Well played!
Thanks! It was a tough one but so incredible! All the best, E&M
Desde la Patagonia para enviarles mi agradecimiento por compartir tan fascinante aventura. Lo mejores deseos para uds. Un abrazo!!
Stunning, gobsmacking, amazing, moving - there are not enough adjectives. This one is classic. Are there film conpetitions for adventure cyclists - there should be and you should enter this one. Wow!!!!!
Thanks so much for the lovely comment 😊 There are competitions for cycling films. Perhaps we'll enter one day... All the Best, E&M
I had to laugh when you said "this is really hardcore," Maudi. As if what you were doing before wasn't already hardcore. :) Loved the shot of you both at the end, smiling, happy to have overcome the challenge. That's what it's all about. Amazing video. Many thanks!
Ha, nice 😅 Happy you enjoyed the video! Take care & Best wishes, E&M
thank you for taking us in the wilderness with you guys ! hope you had a good rest after those ordeals !
Thank you 🙏🏼 We got our much needed rest days (and cleaning too)! Best wishes, E&M
Great videos, you two are so inspiring and relentless. Thankful that you survived those, and taking us along. Great video-editing, hard-core bikepacking. Thanks and try to be safe.Truly inspiring!❤
Thanks so much Eric 😊 All the Best, E&M
Stay together my friend, is real adventure
Thanks 😊 All the Best, E&M
No thanks, I don't want to experience it!
I am happy though watching you experiencing it, I have been out of my comfort zone but not too much out...
You are crazy to do this! But thank you for showing us, so we don't have to be there in the sand storm ourselves
I love the background music
Another great video again thanks for sharing take care look after each other stay safe 👌👍🙏
Awesome you two are making bikepacking videos worth watching when so many these days are just not worth watching. You're on a real adventure not just flying all over the world. You know, of all the different imperfect ways to attach bottle cages, I think the most durable way of all is actually properly applied electrical tape.
Absolutely loving this series, E & M!
What an adventure. Thanks for showing it so well!
Thanks 🙏🏼😊 All the Best, E&M
You did it again, you fearless fighters. What an adventure. You can truly say you cycled the Sahara. Bravo.
Wow! Great photography and videography! Thank you!
Thank you Wendy 😊 All the Best, E&M

You too 🙏🏼 Best wishes, E&M

Greetings from Brazil!
I had no idea that Morocco and the Sahara is so beautiful. I love exploring the deserts of the southwestern United States, but your route is next level. You have inspired me to add northern Africa to my cycle tour dream list. Thanks for your excellent story telling and high quality videos.
Awesome and historic. 😊
That's a nice one 😊 Thanks!! E&M
I feel sorry for your chains! Amazing stuff, again.
😆 They are alright! Thanks & Best wishes, E&M
Emocionante
A little tip that has help me in the desert one is I would always use about 18 inches of thicker shock cord tied in a double over hand knot or a fisherman knot giving a double 8 inch on each of the guy out on top of the tent. This makes a quieter sleep and less stress on the tent. The other one is adding a longer piece of p-cord to the tent pegs this will allow a faster way to attach to grommets and easier to tie with. For the tent pegs in the sand or snow would dig a hole lay them side was to the guide line they are easily found in the morning. I hope this help you if so please share from friends on RUclips
Thank you for the great tips here! We are going to try them when we find ourselves in such conditions...
Absolutely amazing video! Beautifully filmed and thoughtfully narrated.
🙏🏼 Thank you for a lovely comment! All the very best, E&M
YT suggested this. I'm glad I watched. Wow, you two really endured some tough conditions. I'm sure the weight on the bikes also proved quite the challenge in the sand & terrain.
Thank you so much for providing such an intense video! 👍✌🚲
That is cool 😊 Thank you for sharing! Tough, wonderful and the bikes held up great with the weight being not too bad. Normally we are heavier. Best wishes, E&M
Wonderful Vlog
Thanks 😊 All the Best, E&M
Excelente aventura, un abrazo para ambos…

You are doing great guys!! Make more videos like that. You motivated me to buy a new bike and start biking more :-D
A bit late but thank you for your comment! I hope you are able to get out there!! All the best, E&M
verry verry nice!!! 😊
Thanks 🙏🏼
Me encanta tus vídeos
Muchos gracias!
Another great video. Thankyou. Reminded me of my first trip to Morocco in 1991. Hoping to go back there with a bike soon.
Thanks!! If you do have lots of fun out there 🍀 All the Best!
Increíble desierto
😊
My grandmother told me about those horrific sand storms. What an amazing experience to get through. 🫶🏻
Very intense we must say! Happy we could share it. Best wishes, E&M
héééééél mooie video 😍😍😍😍😍😉
Dank je Johan 😊🙏🏼 Groet!!
Very hard but amazing .
Amazing adventure. Your filming really captured how hard that trek was. And somewhere I will never, ever go😁😎🌞. Being from the "Great North Wet" (Oregon, USA). The webs between my toes would dry out🤣. So glad you safely had this adventure and shared it with us.
Cheers.
Thank you so much 😊 Ha, the "Great North Wet", I like it! Would love to visit one day ( probably more ;) All the best, E&M
I really enjoyed that, maybe more than you did 🙂 in places. Some fantastic desert shots @10:00 and a very nice closing scene.
Haha, it was tough at times for sure! Great to hear you enjoyed it 😊 Best wishes, E&M
Intense and beautiful! How will you ever top this ?!?
Thank you! That is a good question...
Awesome ❤😊
😊 Thanks
Buen video
What an amazing trip! We did almost the same route as you, from Foum Zguid to M´hamid, six years ago in the opposite direction. I must admit we had no sandstorm and the agent at M´hamid offered us to transport most of our luggage by 4WD on one of the regular supply trips to the desert camp at Erg Chegaga. The hardest stretch for us was the rough stone piste from the Oasis Sacree to Lac Iriki with full luggage. Thank you so much for both of your brilliant videos about one of the most exciting adventures for bicycle travellers.
Ohh great Thomas! What an amazing stretch. I agree that part you mentioned was the roughest part! So incredible rocky and slow. I imagined riding a donkey 😅 Wishing you all the best!!
