Hi Everybody! We are stoked to be able to share the first video our new adventure in Morocco 🇲🇦 An absolutely stunning country to pedal a bike. We challenged ourselves to take even more difficult routes than before and we where treated to the most demanding and also fantastic experiences 🌴 Let us know what you thoughts are on this vid? Thanks & Have a great day! E&M
You two are such a great team! I have followed your travels since your first videos and it has been a pleasure the whole way. Your filmmaking keeps getting even better, and you have a wonderful way of interacting with and sharing the perspectives of others cultures. Thank you for sharing your journeys. Looking forward to your next Morocco video!!
So nice to see a new video! Sorry you were sick, and hopefully that will be the worst thing that you experience. Which 360-degree camera are you using - love the shots it makes while riding!
Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. I am an 88 year old who still finds some opportunities to cycle. When you share your lives in this way you help me, and I'm sure many others, to also vicariously enjoy what life has to offer.
Atlas mountains are one of the most amazing place I cycled, but steep too! Moroccan people are so hospitable, every time I hear about Morocco I long to go back
Did an 800klm bike trip from Marrakech to Taroudant via the Tiz-in-Test, then over to Quarazazate, down the vallee of the Draa to Zagora and then Mhamid and the Sahara. Back up to Quarazazate and over the Tiz-in-Tichka down to Marrakech. Did this solo in 1996.
You have always made fantastic videos. And now you are even much more. Your new 360 camera views, your personal interaction, and your documentation of the surrounding culture are so professional. You make an amazing team. Cheers!
Thank you! 💛 Nice to hear you enjoy the Insta360 footage... It was a nice addition as we also had to leave home the drone. It gave us some room to play around with different angles!
OMG... I just noticed you posted a new video, I can't begin to tell how happy I am to see you both back! I just wanted to say hi and I will watch the video later on this evening.
Glad to see you back and now recovered. What a blessing to be sick in a nice town and that you have each other. Just go's to prove your living right even thou I'm sure it wasn't all that fun. Looking forward to your next video. Take care, Al
It's very nice to have somebody to take care of you when being sick. And a good excuse to learn a bit more about local life in a town we otgerwise would have stayed just one or two days 🙂
Cup of coffee, chocolate cake and vista of a mirrorlike humic lake in the woods... I really used to like watching videos from you guys when it's an after-breakfast coffee time, especially now, while me and my wife are also making our bike tour throughout the trees, lakes and vilages of north-eastern Poland. All the best to you!
Hello to you both. Great to see you back again Morocco is a very special place for my wife and I. So friendly with lovely people. Walked over the Atlas but never cycled. How you get such good filming is a constant wonder to me. Look forward to the next clips Stay safe Anthony
Thanks Anthony 😊 Lovely to hear Morocco is special place for you two! It takes quite some time to get the filming/editing right. Perhaps an ingredient that is not all that obvious. All the Best, E&M
Hi E&M, Just yesterday I saw Davide travelli’s channel. He was in Morocco too. And in Marrakech he stayed with a guy who also runs a bicycle repair shop called pikala bikes. That guy also undertakes some social projects promoting the use of bikes. I know as of me writing this, both he and y’all would be way ahead in your individual itineraries. But hopefully when y’all return to Marrakech y’all can look him up, say hi, interview him and do all the good things you do. Awaiting your other videos. Lots of love to you both. May the blessings of Mother Nature be at your back. Atb, That Travelling Guy….
Yes we've heard of them (Pikala bikes), perhaps next time around! We were there in February and March but our paths didn't cross... Who knows we might bump into eachother on the next adventure 😁
Yay… my favorite couple to follow on. RUclips is back on the road. Bummer about you two getting sick. I guess, indeed, you are human. Thank you for the video. I always look forward to your creativity.
Glad that you are both feeling better :). Thank you for sharing your experiences. I enjoyed your hallucination humor lol and appreciate the expansion of awareness you offer me. Safe and healthy journey onwards!
Really!? 😲 I remember looking it up... I couldn't find anything about the pass you told me about, is it offroad? I did though find another one that's higer then the Tizka at 2900. My mistake!
@@WheelstoWander That pass at 2900m might be the Tizi Ouane, the pass that leads from Imilchil southwards down into the Vallée de Dadès: it was still 48km unsurfaced in 2014 ( I rode it in winter), but was only unsurfaced on the south side this spring. The Hmid is not well marked on maps, if you find the village of Tabant and look southeast to Tisguine, it is the second of two passes: the entire route is around 90km, 13 of which were still unsurfaced this spring, but easy to ride, and all 4G-covered. East of Tabant is another high pass just a little under 2700m and also asphalted on both sides.
Welcome back on the road 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I’ve been hanging out for this 👍 well you both have set a new standard for your videos excellent well done 👍 You did not disappoint. Welcome back guys. Thanks 👍👍
Welcome to Morocco. Thank you. I have been following your channel for more than a year and a half. I have been following your videos. Welcome to my beautiful country, Morocco.
That is lovely to hear! Morocco is a fantastic country for cycling. Very beautiful, quite a big diversity in landscapes and many many wonderful people! Best wishes, E&M
Great to see you back on the road. Your videos are so authentic and capture the real, true experience of the adventure. I can see your camera craft / editing has improved, although it was way above average to start with. I bet you have some new hardware. Sorry about your sickness. Every region has it own microbes which you've discovered. Eating Tajines is a good option as all the meal is well cooked. Don't eat cold food. Keep on cycling...
Thanks for the compliment Jamie 🙏 Yes were approached by Insta360 to try out one of their camera's and are very happy with the new angle! Especially because we weren't allowed to bring the drone... Yes, it took us a while before we recovered. I think we got a flu as there was a bad case of influenza going around that time. But luckily it made us strong to fight off the other bugs we might have catched! And beside a bit of belly aches here and there from the food, we felt great 😊
Thank you for taking videos during the trip to show us the exotic scenery, pay attention to safety, and look forward to your better videos.blessings from 🇨🇳
Such friendly people and stunning scenery. We’ll done for climbing those mountains in those challenging weather conditions. You have given us a wonderful insight into the country. Sorry you were both unwell. Looking forward to your next video 👍😊🚴🚴💕
So wonderful to see your new video of Morocco! Love the music, the interactions with people, the scenery and the colors. You guys are a real inspiration. Sorry that you were unwell, but glad that you had welcoming hosts to provide an environment for recovery. Looking forward to seeing the next episode.
That certainly makes all the difference!! And it was convenient that our host spoke English and he could teach us about the Moroccan culture, religion, traditions... And we got to know Taroudant pretty well which is nice! 😊
I am happy you enjoyed the trip in my country Morocco. I was following your adventures for a long time and finally you made it here. Stay dry and safe.
These are way more than bike touring, adventure videos. The most interesting thing is your relationship set against the act of cycling. I've always enjoyed watching how you work together to create success and support each other when things get tough.
A new adventure begins, I'm sorry you both got sick and hope you will have better luck from now on! What an incredible place and the people are just amazing, its so good to have you guys back again and I can't wait to see the next episode!
I thought Morocco was an absolutely perfect cycling destination. Safe, cheap, remote enough to have easy camping but still has a tourist infrastructure if you need a hotel. My favourite was the route up Todra gorge, then back down Dades gorge. What time of the year was this? Weather looks a bit scarier than when I went!
Exactly that! And just incredible landscapes & warm people! Unfortunately we missed the Dades & Todra gorge... A good reason to return one day! This was in February (or january, now I forgot). The week after we descended from the pass there was really heavy snowfall!
Glad you're feeling well again. That looked like a nice little cutting board and a sharp knife, and some healthy meals. Sahara mustard was growing wild last winter around Arizona, very abundantly. It makes a nutritious cooked green. Very convenient.
Wonderful to see you on the road again! Riding one-handed on the pass in snow with a steep drop at the side of the road looked scary. I love having the maps to show where you are going, and the scenes of local life are just great. Safe journeys to you.
Haha yes, it was a bit dodgy for sure. It's always trying to find the balance between what and when to film, and when to focus just on the cycling! Which might have been a better idea 😋 Thanks Mark!
Beautifil place, beautiful people... An epic awesome adventure bike ride! Keep it up! Stay healthy! Safe ride! Waiting for your next adventure. 😊🚴 Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
Enjoy the funds I just sent to you, I hope to get over there for a ride in 2 years…. So many journeys in my planning notebook, you have done an excellent job with your YT VIDEOS… Thanks, David😊
Hi David! We received your contribution :) Thanks, really appreciated!! We have the same luxury problem of having so many journeys written down. Wishing you all the best, E&M
Man you guys are legends, clearly got the bikepacking bug... when each day is so challenging and spectacular, how could one not keep exploring? Very cool production on this one guys
I try and keep up with you guys but somehow I missed your Morocco vid. Yeah, Morocco is a shock when you come from Europe. I glad you showed a map of your tour. You all went from being hot in the low land to cold in the mountains then back to the city and warm weather again. What an adventure.
Haha certainly, we landed in Marrakech which was a serious sensory overload. We were happy to have a few days there to get into the Moroccan rhythm so to speak... It's certainly a completely different world!
Filming ~ you do such an amazing job! Your story telling and art (images/video) keep me coming back. You are living a great life my friends; so glad I can join and enjoy!
Hello, this trip and process is very lovely, I like it very much and you are a very nice couple and I am very happy about it and I hope you have a good trip 🙏🙏, thank you hope to meet you 👍👍
How could you manage to keep your hands warm? Erics gloves look pretty thin, are they made of neoprene? I really love to see your vids, not only because of the great landscape and bike adventure, I like how you harmonize with each other as a couple.
Thank you Robin 😊 My hands were freezing! The liner gloves are made of merino and yes quite thin. In hindsight I should have put on an extra pair of socks and some plastic bags over my hands. Wishing you all the best!
Absolutely loved this video! Found your channel a while back and I’ve been obsessed. Thank so much for sharing your journeys. I hope to do some bike touring like this after university😁
Yes that's absolutely true!! Maybe it was for the best that it happened at the start of our adventure... We felt strong for the rest of our time there 💪
Thanks for the wonderful new video! Morocco is already on my own planned trip. The sights and sounds look amazing. And how welcoming are the people? Can't wait to see the rest of the series!
We felt very welcome. And yes it's absolutely a place worth visiting, we didn't see the North but the South just kept on giving, every corner we took there was another epic landscape. You really can't go wrong! 🙂
Great to see you back on the road. Load up on harissa and dried figs, good food for the journey. Enjoyed hearing the athan in the video. The young man recommended Islam maybe because you're kind and open minded. Best wishes.
Thanks Rami! Yes wis did 😊 delicious stuff!! The young man had a really nice energy about him. We enjoyed his ideas and way of conversation. Best wishes, E&M
You had me on pins and needles wondering what would make such a promising journey have a bad start. So glad both of you are better. I hope you also got some saffron in Morocco.
Luckily this was the only time we got sick (beside a bit of belly aches)! No we haven't tried any saffron, we haven't seen it much. Only in some tourist shops...
Absolutely amazing! You two are so fearless it is inspiring! When you are ready to settle down (a little) it would be great if you ran tours as guides (one or the other or both of you) to some of the places that you have been. I would love to ride with you for a few days! (I'm not sure I could keep up with you for more that a few days!) Happy trails!
Thanks! Well fearless no... but I'm glad to hear we provide some inspiration! Eric has been thinking about organising a tour one day (it wouldn't really be something for me, I'm a bit of an introvert). If he plans something like that we will certainly announce it on YT. Ps. in reality, we're quite slow so I'm sure you'll be perfectly fine! 🐌

Glad you are both well again, I loved the rolling cloudscape shot and the zoom through 360 footage was a cool way to 'ridealong' with you
Interesting, what season is? About Africa always thinks that there always summer) If you can tell)

Such a special and beautiful area 😊 Best wishes!!
Ah, finally a new video again. And immediately I love the way you use your cameras. Beautiful start of your new adventures. Stay safe and healthy. ❤
Thank you Henk! 🙏 We were sad we couldn't take the drone but the new 360 camera provides a great new angle!

Just to say...the highest pass on the Moroccan road network is the Tizi Hmid, at the top of the Vallée des Roses, at 3005m. Was on it one month ago.
Really!? 😲 I remember looking it up... I couldn't find anything about the pass you told me about, is it offroad? I did though find another one that's higer then the Tizka at 2900. My mistake!

Glad you like it Maddie, I hope provides some inspiration for your own trip 😊
Those were some strong herbs. Safe travels.
Certainly 😁
Have a nice trip!
Great video. Loved the music!
at least you're less likely to get ill again! amazing work guys
thanks for sharing the way you do 🗣💕☀
🙏🏼 Thanks & Best wishes!!
Great adventure 🚴
Your adventures are always awesome.
Thanks so much David! Best wishes and an happy New Year, E&M
@@WheelstoWander same to you guys all the best xx
Thank you for this video ,, very nice
Thank you Neil 😊 All the Best, E&M
Perfect something good to watch
😊
You guys redefined the concept of pasta al dente LOL ! Awesome video, as usual, bravissimi!
😅 I'm glad we didn't put in the shot of how we need to break the pasta to get into our small pan!!
great stuff, got really pulled into this one, love the editing.
🙏
